Hi Andrew. I'm not a middleman myself, so I'm probably not the best person to help facilitate your transaction. 5K is an awful lot of money and the types of Instagram pages I've seen sold in the past typically only go for a couple hundred dollars. There are some quality middlemen on the Telegram app and if they have multiple people vouching for them, you can feel confident trusting them. If I were you I'd be very cautious about selling a page for that price. If you're selling the account, you might want to consider listing it on a larger site such as Social Tradia or FameSwap. The contents of my other video were mostly directed at people looking to buy accounts safely, but from the perspective of a seller, you might want the protection offered by one of those sites. Hey there! I generally don't encourage anyone to use any online platforms because it's much safer and less expensive to make these deals through Instagram DMs with the use of a middleman. However, if you'd prefer to use online platforms, I've heard okay things about Fame Swap. I've never used an online platform myself, but that's one that has a slightly better reputation. Thanks for watching and for the kind words! The cost of a page can defend on a lot of factors. I've heard people suggest that it should cost around 10 dollars for every 1000 followers a page has, but that is highly negotiable. If the page has 10 to 20K followers, I'd try to lead with a lower offer and hope for a deal, but it really depends on what the person feels the page is worth and how willing they are to sell.

Great Video, I used this to buy a great profile. Do you know if you buy an account and want to rebrand it to a new business but keep the followers (I understand engagement will reduce) Is this possible without anybody knowing it will happen or will there been history of the previous name even after changing the name and handle, achieving all images and untagging from tagged pictures? any help would be greatly appreciated
Hey Andrew! That's an excellent question. To be honest, I've never changed the handle of a page before but I do believe if you change the handle and archive the images, any new followers that come to your page will probably not know that the account has been re-branded. The people who already follow the page will probably know, given they're already following the account and are aware of it's size, but your new audience likely won't. Sometimes when people change their handles, it breaks the link between tagged posts and their page, so you should be all right, especially if you untag and archive. As you mentioned the engagement on the page will reduce and some people will unfollow, but hopefully a lot of them will stick around and enjoy your content. I think if you've changed the e-mail address linked with the Instagram page you should probably be okay. It might be safe to reach out to the person you bought the page from and see if they will give you the info for the original e-mail, but if you've changed the e-mail and password linked to the account, more than likely you will be safe.

Hey Benjamin! I don't think it's necessarily a deal-breaker, but I'd definitely proceed with caution as there's no reason why the seller shouldn't be willing to give it up. Having said that, perhaps it's the seller's own personal e-mail account and that's why. Either way, I'd proceed with caution, but if you really like the deal and aren't spending too much money, then you could take the risk. However, if it's a big money deal and can't get the original e-mail, I'd be very nervous to go through with it. I would never want to see you lose your money. That's a great question! The first thing I would suggest is to take screenshots of your conversations negotiating the sale of the account. That way, if there's a fraud chargeback, you can win the dispute by showing the evidence of the deal to PayPal. I've heard this is very effective, so make sure to take screenshots of every message. The second tip I'd suggest, is to use a middleman. With a middleman working with both the buyer and the seller, there's no risk of that happening because the middleman is facilitating the transaction from both sides. Hey my friend! As long as you send the money via PayPal Goods and Services, you can file a claim if he blocked you and didn't deliver the page. The great thing about Goods and Services is that it protects the buyer from ever being ripped off, since you can just file a claim with PayPal if the seller doesn't follow through. That's why I always want to make sure to tell anyone I talk to that Goods and Services is way better than Friends and Family, since you can't file a claim with Friends and Family. As far as the price goes, I think the price is definitely pretty decent, depending on what niche the page is in. There's a chance you might be able to get it for a little less, but at that growth rate, you're not doing badly at all at that price, especially if it's in a monetizable niche like business, fashion, travel, etc. It seems like he's charging you a little more than the standard $10 per 1000 followers, which is often the rate these deals go for. I wish you luck with your transaction! Using a middleman might definitely help you feel safer, but if you don't use a middleman, always proceed with caution. I would never want you to get scammed. Hey there! Great question. Unless something has changed recently that I'm unaware of, you should be able to log in right away. At this point you should then definitely change the password for both the Instagram account and the original e-mail account, to protect yourself from the seller trying to take the account back.

Absolutely. I would 100% change the e-mail just to be safe. I would definitely do that right away for sure.
That's a really great question! I would think the seller would definitely need to log out first, if for no other reason than you don't want the Instagram algorithm to pick up on the fact that the same account is logged into from two different locations. If the algorithm notices that, it could potentially flag the account for suspicious activity, so definitely make sure the seller logs out. I hope this helps.

So I want to sell the account and I got the offer. He wants me to give him my account passwrod and then he will pay me. He says that if he doesn't pay me I can get my account back using email. So after he pays me I should also give him email information. Is there any catch here, is it safe? Or I missed something?
I'd proceed with caution in this case. If he's saying things like "if you don't pay him you can get the account back with the e-mail" that sets off an alarm in my mind. It sounds to me like he's worried that you are going to try to take the account back after he's paid you and that's why he's asking for the password up front. Have you considered seeking out a middleman at all? A middleman would help ensure that the transaction goes smoothly and that way you and the buyer can feel more comfortable. Technically, during the transaction you should get the money and he should get both the account login info and the e-mail as well. I might suggest using the Telegram app to find a qualified middleman. I've heard of a middleman know as @thegmac on Telegram who is seen as trustworthy. To be honest, if you're worried that the buyer will try to ask for a refund, you should strongly consider making the sale with the help of a middleman. If you can find a middleman you can trust, that person can make it so no one gets scammed by taking the account credentials from you, and the money from the seller and transferring each to each of you. There are some good middlemen on Telegram and I've heard good things about one of them named thegmac, though I can't actually vouch for them personally. I hope that helps!

Great question! There are a lot of places to find a qualified middleman. I've found middlemen on the Telegram app in the past. Typically when searching for a middleman on Telegram, you want to make sure they have people vouching for their trustworthiness. If they have numerous vouchers on the app, then you can be much more comfortable doing business with them if you decide to go in that direction.
