Mogis is an odd include in a Xantcha build. It gives your opponents and easy out of having to keep her on the board by being able to sacrifice her to the slaughter God. Fun game though!
What a great game! All commanders that have a bit of chaos in them, yet still efficient, and every deck got to do a bit of their own thing. Love it, ggs!
I have a Xantcha deck myself, it's my favorite weird Commander! Plenty of mana rocks in there, but also a lot of goading. Thran Turbine is good tech tho, i'll have to get it. Also, Oubliette seems like a really underrated card in Commander. i never see it.
Its a big creature with fairly mediocre evasion, no trample and no significantly powerful abilities that warrant playing it. The grave exile is nice but situational, for the mana there are just better things to be doing, especially for a deck that wants to run lean and hyper-efficient to mitigate the casting cost of the midrange mana'd blitzed creatures while making use of synergies/attack/death triggers. Its not a bad card dont get my wrong, but its not a bonkers card by any stretch of the imagination.
I love Araumi! Super fun and powerful. Tell Maxime to add Massacre wurm. When you do the thing its -6-6 to opponents creatures and they lose 6 life per creature that died.
i'm always torn on the Alchemist for my own Phenax build. it seems great, but the incidental graveyard hate actually makes Mortivore/Nighthowler/Wight of Precinct Six weaker and those are the real whoppers in the deck that end games quickly.
Random question: is there any reason you can’t have everyone write their starting hand down and not be visible to others to incorporate into the intro again? Kinda miss that part of the vids.
@@smolclips5996 the things owned by that player are removed. But Xantcha was in Marie's control before being controlled by Muddstah. Wouldn't it go back into Marie's control?
@@Micna9596 it was no longer under her control so no. If it was under their control because of a separate permanent then yes it would go back but since the player leaving controlled it it moved to exile
Henmzie is one of my most fun decks ever

That and giving Xantcha to the guy with the altar.
I love Marie going "Wait! Before Muddstah dies, let me draw a card."
Henzie is my favorite commander recently, and Felix's Henzie deck looks sweet.
Can we get that deck list for the Henzie if possible??

I want to see henzie deck list. Please get
Seconded. Need the list!
Lot of interesting decks here. Very nice!
1:39 It's usually the Swamps and Mountains that people conflate from this art series, this one's new to me ;)
Henzie decklist? That looks wild to play.
Awe Phenax was my first ever deck, this is bringing back memories for me.
great game! will there be Henzie list posted?
I'm also curious about this
I love the phenax gameplay! My favorite commander
My friend just built Henzie as kamigawa soulshift spirits. It's a fantastic time
My favorite it's just as good as my henzie vanilla old bordered creatures deck
Wheres the henzie list
Just built a Phenex deck myself.
I have a copy of Eater of the Dead which is a combo alone with Phenex.
Mudstah is the keeper of the ancient wars
Couldn't Maxime sac his board to the Altar in response to the ryusei death trigger?
Great decks. Love the Xantcha
I am so happy thran turbine is seeing some love 😌

Marie needs to take that Mogis out of their Xantcha deck. It gives their opponent a way to get rid of Xantcha.
I saw nearly every Henzie precon upgrade guide suggesting people to take out Grime Gorger. Have they actually played with it? The card is bonkers.

Does Jeska's Will work in Xantcha? It says "If you CONTROL a commander", but while she does own Xantcha, it's currently under an opponent's control.
I think it’s just being used for the mana. The impulse draw wasn’t used or even triggered
It was used for the mana iirc
That Henzie deck is spicy!

I am a fan of Undead Alchemist in Phenax. It's a bit of grave hate and it can really pop off if you have Phenax or an Altar of Dementia.

No music makes it so weird

No music?
I think I reduced it too low, haha
Oh my, without the music it's unnerving...
if he would have hold his creatures to tap in the endstep he would have lived, its so much better to play phenax like that
Pretty sweet game!!
After Muddstah dying wouldn't Marie gain control of Xantcha?
Anything controlled by a player who leaves the game is considered exiled

Amazing match but I was rooting for the Dimir Commanders, Phenax 1st, then Araumi. Long live Dimir!
Love phenax!
I thought bruvac couldn’t double phenax
I thought bruvac only double if the card text said “mill”
It's been erratad on Magic Gatherer. Now it says creatures gain the ability to mill
Mogis is my favorite card!
The lack of music is making my head spin
Cool
Hi Andrew
Hi!
Henzie is soooo good
