@@meyeneetuks4680 I wouldn't say it outright sucks, but it does feel like a clunky and one-note gimmick. I dont see how its formulaic nature can be fixed without further complicating its rules.

i feel like michael crafted his deck extremely well, especially with using the Ozolith.
Agreed, extra points for making his commander the true focal point of the deck. Jimmy's deck was sweet, but Minsc wasn't really needed- it could have been literally any other card and the game would have played out the same. (To be fair, I think he had quite the challenge on his plate to make a Minsc commander deck) ~Fade~

Aren't we all like that? xD
He has the bad habit of putting a target on his head by building a strong board out of nowhere, while not having a way to protect it until the next untap... That lord he played didn't need to be played that turn, he could, and should, have saved it for the next turn, he didn't need to attack with it, just needed to give trample to the others and the +2/+2. By playing the lord he showed the table he would be a danger, without the lord giving trample, probably things would have been different, because he had big creatures sure but no trample so people could still chump.
That's my view on the matter, saving the lord for when he could attack with the others, would have been a better play.
That's because he does nothing with it that turn (I get it. summoning sickness). It's basically taking your turn to build up super threatening, then giving three turns to actually do anything with it.
He could have used an anger in the graveyard

It actually makes sense. On average, Barbarians do more math during combat than the other classes. Because of this, and various other factors, Barbarian is actually one of the most strategic classes.

While I would have liked to see some of the mechanics from the set, like dice rolling, that was a fun match to watch regardless. Also, the animations for Tiamat and The Ozolith were fantastic!

Love the increased production value in recent years. It keeps me coming back more than the gameplay. I literally Loled to "I'm out of spells, time for a Long Rest." Loved the meta humor.
The "cool move" would have been to make a deal with Jimmy to take out the other players first and no aggression til dragon queen's upkeep and THEN board wipe on his end step.

My playgroup would have frowned upon that "deal" which Lady "upheld"... leaving the Ozolith in play the single creature removal on Michaels side was kind of a joke...
Yeah, I feel like single target artifact removal would've been more "taking care of it" than a boardwipe.
It was a bitch move. None of my group would've allowed it, we would definitely hard target whoever did it.
...fair enough but you would certainly hate playing with ME then. I use every opportunity I can to play a board wipe (if it makes sense for me to do so that is)

Tbf, I think it was less the board wipe and more the underhanded deal aspect. Lady danger intentionally and maliciously left the terms of the deal very vague on what she'd do and and was very specific on what she wanted to get out of it. She did more damage to her partner in the deal and didn't even handle the worst part of the opponent's board which was the ozolith.
Really sad we didn’t get to see Ladee go off with her Drizzt deck.

I have never related to a player so much as someone who crams as much lifegain into a deck as possible for the simple goal of...gaining the life. We don't need wincons, we need helth
@@des4497 Your health is important, especially in these trying times. Chances are though they just learnt to play back in the old days. We way overvalued lifegain (and feared life loss, it took some time to get necropotence), ask anyone who has tapped out to play Stream of Life. If I have all the life, I can't possibly lose!

@@Max-jp6jb On what planet do IHYD do cedh? Not one video has been a true cedh pod yet, they have some games where 1 or 2 players play a cedh deck. Granted, i do think IHYD is better because the games feel natural, and they don't play as much jank. Both have their merits though so just watch both?

I was really rooting for Kalain, since everyone has been really devaluing this commander since it came out, but I really liked it and was very excited to see it perform this well in this game!
I built a commander deck with her and I wipe the floor with people's faces! She is an awesome commander :). Sorry to chime in. But I agree very underrated.

They did delay and modified a ton of trigger during that game. I guess its easier for general viewer to understand the game. But as far I am concern I haven't seen one that would modify the board state.

I just don’t know what it is about this word that seems to confound the entire MTG content community. SO many MTG content creators screw it up, but I never hear regular players say it wrong.
I am not a native speaker but I just rewatched and his pronounciation seemed to be just fine to me. What was he doing wrong?
@@Aaackermann I'm from the Midwest, and I've always heard it "har-bin-jer", with a hard "g" sound. It would be easier to mispronounce if you only ever read the word though.

@@PirateMaster45 ya the person playing the dragon deck did some stupid moves like she could've tutor for scion with timat cause she wanted to put dragons in the graveyard and reaminate them but instead she got like the worst ones in her deck it seemed like she didn't even want to win also her discarding that removal spell was super stupid and made this episode feel scripted
