Here is a difference. In the original if your partner ran out of hp then they would stay at 0 until you healed them but in the remake if the run out and you win the battle, they would heal 1 hp. It makes it easier to use the mega rush P strategy. Speaking of the mega rush P strategy, in the original, if your partner was at 1 OR 2 hp then they would be in peril but now peril is only 1 hp. If they are at 2 hp they are just in danger.
Your entire party is healed after every level which means you have to carry around Trail Stews to keep the strategy attractive with out burning turns trying get your partner in range.
They also revive with 1 HP if you run while they're at 0
It also removes the other version of the victory theme
2 hp didn’t count as peril in the original
The fact that the puni elder keeps getting bigger and Lord Crump keeps getting smaller is hilarious. He even sounds tiny.

I love the dialogue voice clips in the remake. It's just like Undertale, where the characters have unique voices despite the text-based dialogue.

Koops wants to throw shells
One feature added to Chapter 3 is an “exhibition mode” where you can freely request matches against any Glitz Pit opponent you’ve already defeated (and without rules to follow too) Makes it much easier to get all Tattle Log entries for them.
The fight against the two Iron Clefts has the rule locked to “use partner attacks” in order to prevent an accidental no-win situation (as Mini-Yoshi’s Gulp is the only way to beat them). And unlike the original have to tattle both Clefts to get all Logs, as the remake counts any opponent faced again with higher stats (such as Bowser, Crump and the Shadow Sirens) as separate entities (this also means it’s impossible to see Doopliss’s HP at the end of Chapter 4 without Peakaboo even if you tattled him the first time).
The first cake given to you by Jolene (not poisoned) no longer fills SP, only HP and FP.
The fight against Rawk Hawk has no requirement at all (where in the original it was locked to “use a special move at least once”.)
The cutscene after the Dull Bones (where you hear someone in the hall cry out in pain from the minor league room) now has audible wheels, implying an emergency stretcher bed.
After beat the Iron Clefts and ascending to the major league, the following cutscene has Grubba looking at what seems to be paperwork (likely actually the Crystal Star machine’s blueprints and thus foreshadowing him as the chapter villain).
Grubba also has visibly angry sprites for when he’s unmasked in the office towards the end of the chapter.
Both clefts HAD to be tattled in the original

The hot dog poster actually has different animations depending on which partner is out
Also in the oG mixing the hot sauce and hotdog gives you a mistake but in the remake it gives you the hottest dog

1:13 This opened the game up to a new glitch that wasn't in the original. If you use Koops before the entrance zone, you can steal the blue key from the Jabie.
A big change about the warp room is that now you unlock each pipe after finishing its respective chapter. In the original you only unlocked the pipes in sets of 2 after getting the respective hammer upgrade. Ie, you only unlock warp pipes to chapters 1 and 2 after you get the Super Hammer more than halfway through chapter 3
Here's a good one: Jabble (the little Jabbie hiding in the shop that Punio is friends with) is much easier to spot. He's now poking out slighty from behind the stump in the shop rather than being fully hidden by it. The Switch version was the first time I ever noticed him.

Something interesting about the new pipe room.
The old roomS were actually separated by what abilities you had, in a way that didn’t make much sense. You need the super hammer (pass chapter 3) to get to chapters 1 and 2. You need the ultra hammer (pass chapter 6) to get to chapters 5 and 6. There are no pipes to Glitzville nor Twilight Town.
The new room just unlocks the pipe of its respective chapter, once you present that chapter’s crystal star the the thousand year door, then return to the pipe room.
In chapter 3 (remake) there is no objective that says “don’t let your partner attack.” Instead it says “don’t let your partner deal any damage.” This makes it more clear or definitively allows you to use Goombella’s tattle in these battles.
And thank goodness for that!
@@WhirlyBeepBoops hard to tell if this is sarcastic. Maybe, maybe not. On the chance that it is, Nin10doland has mentioned less significant changes than this. This is a quality of life change that is not just related to Tattle, but also all status effect moves that partners can use.
Finally someone acknowledges the lack of the “End of Chapter” text!
Interesting Facts about the Pipe Room in the Underground Rogueport: A. You can access the room after Chapter 1, if you approach it from the West. & 2nd: The parts of the Floor that surround the Blue Pipes in the room now show a little something about where they go, as well as you can read the pipes. Also, it’s interesting that each Star lights up the Door each time you present one of the Crystal Stars, where in the original, only the outline of the Stars would light up upon presenting all 7 at once. Interesting thing to note as well, it’s a different sound as well when you are presenting as well.

One thing I noticed is that from bottom floor of the Rogueport Sewers is you can hear part of the theme that plays when Mario is on his way to Rogueport at the beginning of the game. It is a nice touch to an already great theme.
I'm definitely enjoying this series. It's interesting to see what changed in detail, and what your perspective on the change is

The pipe that leads to chapter 5 had its location changed. In the original, it was in the jungle, while in the remake its at the camp.
adding onto the not being able to skip through text issue. They also got rid of the ability too go back in text with the z button. Even one of Wonky's info that tells you about the Z button has been completely removed.

In OG you couldn’t go into her room and in the remake does.
The steam in the hotdog cart was there in the original, they just made it much easier to see

14:09 when you face Cortez in chapter 5, everytime it transistion to a new phase on the battle, Mario and the currently active patner have a different reaction, while in the original, they dont react at all.
Another one: (no spoilers)
When you update your map to the new crystal star then the animation when the map is over Mario is not this pixel waves. Instead it's now similiar to other items.
1. When a character falls asleep in the remake, the sound of a bell no longer plays
2. When Mario fights ????? in the original before guessing its name correctly, both can’t damage each other. In the remake, only the monster can damage Mario in said battle; and after Mario guesses its name when he damages it for the first time, it now becomes surprised and has new dialogue about how it could be damaged
3. Koopa Troopas have 2 attack in the remake instead of 1 in the original
I didn't know that happened during the ???? fight. Cause I just ran away immediately cause I knew from the original that I couldn't do anything at that point in the game.
@@greninja3360Not only that, BECAUSE running away is the only option the remake deliberately rigs the run meter very high if not 100%.

In chapter two the 3 shadow sirens are just called the 3 shadows.
In the original when Rawk Hawk goes into the 2nd tier room to threaten you he phases through the door but In the remake he turns to his side to fit through the door
In chapter 1 (original) the Fuzzy Hoard tattle log entry was never implemented and remained unused in the game files, the remake properly added it.
A different is that the blimp pipe area is longer, and a star piece has been moved to under a panel rather tah behind the pipe to the blimp.
In the oG there is no mouse in the trouble center telling you what trouble you have but in the remake there is

In chapter two if you go to the left corner of the secret shop you can find a jabie at the left corner and if you don’t hurt it it will follow you with the punies and that’s probably new
For the blimb: In the original, you couldn't skip the scene, where you board the blimb and then it starts to move. In the remake, you can finally skip the entire blimb scene (after the first boarding)
Small difference, but I noticed it in Chapter 4, which you’re covering next, so I noticed that even though Goombella gives most of the partner hints, other partners can pitch in if their ability is needed to progress. It just makes me angry because why can’t they get hints more??

I have bad luck, I think, I played Kirby and the Forgotten Land original but never finished, few months later and it was brought into the nintendo switch before I had finished the original, I also never got to finish the FINAL boss fight on Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (original) and a few months or years after it was brought into nintendo switch 2x.

The music that is changed for the Lord Crump running away during the Great Tree bomb timer part, when being confronted by Cortez's ship, and few others is still changed even with the nostalgic badge on, so the nostalgic badge doesn't 100% live up to its name.
TYSK: In the original game you couldn't battle Prince Mush but in the remake you can all you have to is complete Jolene's request at the trouble center then you wait for about 20 to 30 minutes then you have another email from Jolene thanking you for completing her request and telling you Mush is planning a comeback wait for another 30 minutes then you you receive another email from Prince Mush himself wanting Mario to fight him re-register with Jolene does not matter which league you are in turn the on the game boy color Click on
Exibition Match and click on Prince Mush and boom your fighting him
Note: you can do it before you beat the game
