Man you’re doing a great job you’re not worry about people what they say you’re so with perfectly and it’s organic that’s how it’s supposed to be it’s custom design it’s beautiful
Alright Troy! You showing out for the 99 and 2000s lol LOVE IT!
You know it!
Gheeze missed you by 30 minutes Nice Troy! I'm loving both hats the girl Dad is my favorite, can hardly tell it's crooked until you pointed it out.
Thanks a Million!
Can I just say that your videos are amazing I was so intimidated by glow forge! You make everything simple I appreciate your videos! Thank you for taking the time to make such detail but simple videos! I am definitely getting my glowforge for my birthday next week and using your code!!!
You are so welcome! I appreciate it more than you think! My Referral Code: glowforge.us/f/QWABAKFC
Man I don’t know which one I like best. They did come out great. I think it just depends on a persons project and what look they are going for because the sewed one has a cool look on the outer part of the patch and the glued one could be a neat clean look depending on the design. Great work! Thx for doing the two so we could see a comparison! 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Both hats look great! I have been wanting to try this type of project, so thanks for the inspiration!!!
You can do it! Got for it!
Name plate bamboo earrings? GREAT CHANNEL!!! i will invest in a Glowforge thanks to you!!!!
Thanks. You’re welcome.
They both look great. Like the sewed one best. I need to sit down and use your tutorials to practice and learn Corel Draw.
Thanks a Million! It is a learning curve. I love coreldraw.
Awesome video.. love all your work..
Great job as always Troy. I`m looking at a Tshirt press and a vinyl cutting machine. For doing T shirts ,Hats, Cups and plates.
Sounds great!
Mannn, first, thank you for such a detailed video! I am a big fan of "the easier, the better" lol.. So I like the glue method, but the sewing method gives it that unique touch! My sister put me on to this stuff called Hem Tape. It is used for glueing fabrics together with an iron. This may be a great option for you. Enjoyed the video! The patches on the hats look great! Thank you!
I prefer the sewing look it looks so dope. Thanks a Million!
These look amazing I like the sewn version because as the hat relaxes over time, so does the leather. I'd like to try this patch on a piece of frayed jean fabric or something and then applied to the hat to match a nice outfit. Thanks for this walkthrough, this explains alot at a decent pace too. 👀✍🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks a Million! That's a good idea. I have a lot of ideas that involves clothing. Videos coming soon. I'm glad it was helpful.
@@TroytheMaker absolutely looking forward to it. You are such and inspiration.
Awesome project Troy. I think the glued on patch would be easier but the sewed on patch looks great too. Thank you for sharing
I agree. The sewing look gives it a professional look. That was my first time trying to sew a hat.
Great Video!... I always prefer to sew. Especially with thicker leather because the edges of the leather design tend to separate from fabric over time when using glue. Also, if you buff the leather after the dye fully dries, it will give it a beautiful sheen.
Great tip! I've been playing with leather a lot lately. I have some crazy ideas with leather! Thank a Million!
Nice...
You could put a little glue and let it dry and then sew. That way it is lined up where you want, but has the finished look you get from sewing.
Thanks for the tip. ✍🏾 I'm still fairly new to the leather making processes.
I like the sewed in one.
Me too! Just takes longer especially if you’re hand sewing.
Sewed looks best but the glued hat is nicer for the look
Agree.
Wow that was a 🔥 tutorial
Thanks a Million! I'm trying.
Wow I love it Great job 👏🏽
I'm glad you like it!
Nice video! Love the full design tutorial from beginning to end! Be careful though because Girl Dad is trademarked and not from Kobe either.
Thanks for the info!
@@TroytheMaker anytime! They came at me for a short I had on my etsy lol
AMAZING!!!😱🎉
great project, where did you bought the hats, could you share the information
Locally, from the mall at one of them custom hat stands.
can you supply the settings you used for this project, ready to put my glowforge to work.
Cut 400/80 engrave 1000/100
Great video! Hey do you know what the thickest item that can be engraved (not cut) on the glowforge before removing the crumb tray becomes necessary? Like for example, could you engrave a standard cutting board?
1/2" thick is the recommended. I haven't tried anything thicker with the crumb tray removed. Yes has long as it is thinner that 1/2". I have cutting board I have engrave on that is 1/4" thick with no problem. Hope this helps.
Niiiice!!!
Thanks a Million!
They both look great! But I would glue just because It would be easier for me...lol What font did you use for this project?
Thanks. It is called hello farmer.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

May I ask what program did you use to create this design
Corel Draw 2020
How about a link to the glue and other products you used for the hats.
Leather glue: amzn.to/3wmIF9r
Thread: amzn.to/3mRDtac
Needle: amzn.to/3BVrYmm
How much do these car badges sell for? Do not know what a starting price would be.
I would say about $15.
Hey Troy, I just got a glowforge about a month ago. I’ve been watching your videos and I’ve learned alot. My question is, what program you use to design your stuff? I’ve down loaded Inkscape and I haven’t caught onto it yet.
I use Coreldraw. 2020 full version. I’ve tried Inkscape, but I couldn’t get off into it either.
What software were you using for making the image?
I use coreldraw
My teenage daughter and I appreciate these crafty videos We craft alot together which is how we bond...I do have a question though! What exactly is a girl dad troy?
Bonds are amazing. Haha Girl ( My daughters) Dad (Me)
@@TroytheMaker I love it!
How can I learn how to use this software? I don’t know how to use anything.
I would start using inkscape it is free. Then if I'm understanding it I would go with coreldraw or adobe illustrator.
