This is EXACTLY what I needed to know to make the large name signs with the Glowforge basic! I knew the basic concept of dividing up the image, but not how to actually execute it. Thank you so much!
Lovely video Troy! I’m a new follower. I’d suggest cutting a full letter of the letters that had to be cut. For instance, cut just the “u” to add to the entire “u” on the back. Hope this helps. I’ve learned so much from you and I’ll be purchasing a glowforge soon!
Good job bro I see you in the ville I'm in mboro. I do woodworking and i just got a glow forge. Don't know to much about it but this video is very helpful.
Hay Troy, another dope video. My GF will get delivered shortly. I got the pro so hope they tighten you up with that. I would like you to do one of those baby picture frame. The back part and acrylic glass especially. The front of the frame I'm good with. Thanks .
Thanks a Million! I appreciate it more than you think! I don't know what your talking about I have to see the baby picture frame. Send me a picture on instagram @troythemaker
Hey Troy. Great content, please keep it up. An easier way to connect the letters would be to use weld after making your connection placements. Just FYI.😊
Just ordered my glow forge today and definitely used your promo code. Appreciate your weekly videos and they joy you have sharing! I noticed your glow forge is setup in your living room Wondering if you could give us a rundown, Vent setup, smell from different materials etc. Appreciate it in advance .
Hey Troy thanks for the video which Software do you use ? please and thanks just got my Glowforge not too long ago and I'm looking for some good software with nice fonts to do my designs on. TIA.
Congratulations. I hope your as excited as I was! I use coreldraw they have your normal fonts installed. I know a lot of people use dafont.com for fonts.
Hey. No you can’t buy a larger cutting tray. The Glowforge PRO is the only laser from Glowforge that can cut larger material through the pass through feature it has.
Awesome tutorial as usual! I have the GF basic and would like to supply my local party planners with these. I’m gonna try you technique on Adobe Ilustrator or Inkscape and see how that goes! Thank you for sharing brotha🙏🏿!!

Great Vid Troy!
Glad you enjoyed it.
This is awesome! How do you hang onto a backdrop or surface flat?
Thanks a Million! I used velcro strips.
Hi!! Love all your videos! How do you use the command hooks to put on wall? Can you fo a video pleaseeeee
You can easily merge object and will clear up your merging lines instead of manually deleting things. (min 3)
Thats a fact. I have a better way on how to make it now. I'm considering making a video on it.
Hello! Thanks for the instruction. What was the thin strip you placed on the areas you spliced or split?
A piece of acrylic I cut to bond them together.
Very nice
Thanks.
Hi really cool work, what material did u laser cut?
Thanks a Million! This was 1/8” thick black cast acrylic.
Brilliant
Thanks a Million!
Troy and you do Kiss Cutting with the Glowforge using twill?
Troy can you do Kiss Cuts with the Glowforge using twill?
Yes. Long as the settings are dialed in correctly.

I think you should've made the parts that connect a puzzle shape so it can be more secure
Appreciate the tip!

@@TroytheMaker ok ty for responding. I want to get that machine just to make the acrylic names but it looked so complicated to make it longer
What application are you using to create your project!? I haven't gotten my glowforge yet but I wanna play around with projects already!
I use coreldraw graphic software

You did a great job. I am still struggling on which cutter to purchase. What is your favorite cutter at this point?
Thanks. I use a Glowforge. Referral code: glowforge.us/r/QWABAKFC
@@TroytheMaker I purchased my Glowforge with your code last week. I am excited.
What software do u use for the editing? I couldn’t hear it well
I use final cut pro x to edit.
cool
Thanks a Million!
what app or system you are using for the fonts and designs?
I get a lot of my fonts from the build in fonts on coreldraw and dafont.com
Do you only buy your material from glowforge? Great video! 😊
Yes mostly I also but locally and from www.inventables.com/categories/materials/acrylic (not sponsored)
@@TroytheMaker Thank you so much!
I just order my glowforge with your referral code 👍👍👍
do you make videos on CorelDraw
Not all coreldraw check out Doug Green channel
@@TroytheMaker I will see if I can find him
Which glowforge do you have? Can I do this with a plus? If so what size?
Thanks
I have the basic. If you get the plus you would make it sort of like I made mines. You would have to get the Pro to make it one piece.
@@TroytheMaker I got to see how you broke it up.
How do you save and transport to glowforge and get it to print?
Export as .PDF and upload to Glowforge print
Would the glowforge pro cut the name in one piece instead of 3 pieces?
Yeah as long as it is designed right.
which CorelDraw 2020 program do you have , I see them from $100.00 to $500.00 thank you
I use 2020 yearly subscription base.
considering getting a GF. since you have some time on yours now, would you still recommend it?
Yes, indeed. I still recommend the Glowforge.

Would’ve been nicer to leave the intersecting lines and snap them together like a puzzle instead of sticking stuff on the back
I think that it works well the way he did it. Especially since he specifically made some areas where the command strips would attach to.
Please brother make the crokinole board game 🙏🙏
Don't know what it is but I will google it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Can you make me one I’ll pay
I can't at the moment I'm pretty backed up. I'm working on finding help.

Sorry, I can't speak Spanish.

Troy can you use this same process for mirror acrylic and would you cut that on the grey side mirrored?
Yes you can!
