- The Street Scrambler 900, is Triumph's most interesting cross between an easy-going classic and a hardcore adventurer. Find out if this middle-ground of a heavy-middleweight has what it takes to do well on the shattered pavement of the Philippines. In this Beyond the Ride review, Jinno saddles up on the 2023 Triumph Street Scrambler 900 to find out if it is a great middle-ground or a bit of a lost explorer in the lineup.

I love this bike. This was my first big bike. Very beginner friendly, very light and very good looking. Heat from the pipes are not an issue unless youre wearing shorts.
Heat from the exhaust…. I picked my one up one 2 weeks ago. And have been riding it in some onfthe hottest weather in England we have had for years.
All the time your are traveling on the open road you don’t notice the heat from the pipes.
If you ride it around town all day in hot weather then yes you feel the heat rising up.
Sitting stationary at traffic lights isn’t a problem with heat on the leg from the exhaust as much as the general overall heat rising up from both the exhaust and the engine.
I sometimes find myself putting my left foot down at the lights and leaning the bike to the left slightly because this naturally manoeuvres the right thigh away from the pipe.
[its not hot enough to burn you, but if you hold your leg on it for several minutes it does start to get uncomfortable]
But as mentioned above as soon as you start moving again to don’t notice the heat.
I wore relatively short shorts on my first ride in my 1200. It burns a bit, but doesn't actually "burn."
I brought that same bike to La Union as a loaner from Triumph last week, and I had so much fun with it. The engine output’s just right for the provincial highways and the expressway, that low end torque is fun once you twist the throttle, and the relaxed riding position is the best part. As for the heat, I find it manageable too, I just keep my right leg up while on a standstill or I just move the leg further away a bit. But once you move especially on freeway speeds, that heat is gone and you can grip the tank (or exhaust) freely.
Yup, I have the 2022 1200XC, the exhaust situation isn’t as severe as some make it. It’s a motorcycle and you’re going to get some heat. You’re going to get wind and noise. It’s a bike.
If you can’t get thru your head, then drive a car.
I love the triumph scrambler !
I have the same bike, also my first manual bike. Great for beginners, good for light offroad, and a reliable long ride buddy! Already took mine for a solo bicol loop, and it didn't disappoint. Even went light off roading to Kiudkad, Siruma and it performed really well on the trail. Heat? If you are not wearing pants, definitely an issue, but still found a way around it. In traffic, the heat is still bearable just like any other big bike, and definitely better than aircooled ones. You don't have to worry too much on the pipes (they look really cool btw) touching your skin all the time due to the relaxed position on the bike, even for your pillon. Love my bike, and I hope more riders would give it a chance.
Love the honest review🙌🏻
Does it burn if your leg or pillion's leg touching the pipe when riding in city tropical weather when you are wearing shorts?
@@francizz You'll feel a sting once you touch the pipe's heat shield when its hot but not exactly burn you straight away. I sometimes ride on shorts and the only time it would touch my inner thigh (lower), not leg, is when I shift my weight to the right to engage 1st gear from neutral. A workaround I did was to make sure I have some sort of fabric like a small towel to place in between my thigh and the heat shield of the pipe should I need to do so. As for the pillon rider, I had friends who were scared for their legs to burn. 🤣 So they open their legs quite exaggeratedly. But my sister who had ridden a couple of times never had issues getting burned or touching the pipes. During traffic, she does feel warm on the legs but not to a point where she is uncomfortable.
@@cesmae22 Thank you for sharing! I really love everything about this bike, just this heat from my is worrying me.
@@francizz Most big bikes do heat up but distribution of the heat may be different for each one. Just think about this, nobody would be keeping this bike if heat is an issue. There are ways to go around it. But I do understand, some have different levels of tolerance, so it may be best to test it first to see if its meant for you.
I appréciâtes the riding position and handle bar as I’m getting older and almost perfect for city.
Please do a content about the Kawasaki Z900rs🔥
I miss the good ol' days when you guys review affordable low displacement bikes.
I know for SE Asian market that's a huge market but I remember Mr. Jinno saying that this channel is meant to even reach other regions of the world where smaller displacement bikes are not even available. Also, I think that's why the format is in English for the most part. I do miss smaller displacement bikes also.
I miss those days too, believe it or not, it’s easier for us to borrow big bikes than small displacement ones.
There are multiple reviewers of small bikes 1 less isn't a problem. A lot of the small bike also have very minor changes every year so unless a big change happens it's unlikely to be featured again especially if they have access to motorcycle majority of reviewers here don't.
@@jinnorufino3796 I still enjoy your reviews, don't get me wrong. Been a fan since the XSR 155 review.
Hey, maybe Triumph's marketing department is more active on reaching out.🤷♂️
what bike you would recommend more?
Good review! Hope that someday ma-review din ang triumph bonneville t120. Thank’s for this video
Have you experienced Kawasaki Z650RS? Thank you for the video.
how do you compare it to the ducati scramblers in the heat deparment? aslo riding position... thanks
Idol Jino may solusyon din sa exhaust. Palitan ng low mount exhaust system by Zard, kaso UK made din ata yun, oorderin.
Love the look of the triumphs looking for someone 6’3 do you know any that tall that rides one ??
This colour looks best among any other
When will you do a review the new 2022 Yamaha xsr 900?
How many liters of gasoline does it burn per 100 kilometers? Also, how many kilometers can it go on 1 liter of gasoline?
Present Sir🙋
Jinno, what jacket is that? looks airy
The best part of triumph speed / scrambler was its twin meter console. I loved the view from the bike. They ruined it with this single meter console which also looks cheap compared to the other model.
Nice vídeo... how tall do you say you are? 😅
I’m considering this bike but the 1200 is the same weight for a bit more money.
sobrang pogi sir ,sana sinuot mo ung jacket na bagay sa motor tska boots ,opinion lg hehe
ride safe
Scramblers with such limited suspension travel are really frustrating. They need at least 200mm, preferably 250mm+
I would take a Speed Twin and swap to spoke wheels
You don’t start a review with fuel economy and suspension I feel
I have gold line. It’s not for traveling on highways longer than a full tank really.
Please review kawasaki z900rs
Maganda to pambaguio sana maka ipon ipon din ❤
Please review Kawasaki z900rs
Good review, I'll get rid of this on my list, hindi siya maganda, tiis ganda lang lang talaga, I might get the CLX700, or stick with XSR700 talaga.
Let's be real who actually goes aggressive off-road with litter bikes? Even abroad people don't go hard off-road with litter adventure/scramblers motorcycles. Repair costs and how heavy they are only a few actually go hard off-road with these motorcycles.
Why would you want a higher up it's just exactly right for your height
now with the 400, we can rephrase this as not entry level 🙂
False
Hhmmmm, so where the “entry” connotation should came from 🙆🏽♂️
If 900cc is entry level, idk what to say.
Super init yan sobra
Actually hindi hehe
Pano pa Ducati kung dito pa lang naiinitan ka na haha
Binenta ko na mainit sobra
Ducati mainit din
Nilagyan ko na heat shield pang makina mainit parin
Lose the music
Entry level and 900cc...It's so funny...I have been riding Hayabusa for 5 years just because I cannot tolerate people talking such nonsense... A 900 cc motorcycle is very middle class and suitable for all purposes. What is entry level nonsense.
This is entry level. Under 1000 besides inline four cylinders supersports is a entry level such as an Indian Scout Sixty.
Entry level and it's $11,500. Lol
It's a good starter bike, but one you keep forever, unlike other starter bikes which you sell and upgrade.
poached eggs!
I love these bikes, but they're boring to ride. If I could have the performance of my Honda CB750 Hornet which hits you with ZERO to 200 KPH in 11 and a half seconds on a bike that looked like this I wouldn't think twice, but that's not the case.
Performance parts can allegedly take the 900 to around 90HP.
Scooter lng bagay dun sa host para di sya mukhang unano.
arre takle, bike ka pov kaahe dikha raha, tera pov dikha deta sahi se!
God is great. Repent and trust in Christ, he is coming back soon!
Pretend scrambler for hipsters.
