I bought a 2019 model new last year and I'm at 9300 miles. Just done a service with valve adjustments etc, which was very easy.
So far I've added the TEC progressive fork springs ( big improvement), upgraded the headlight to LED and some additional LED spot lights and fitted the Triumph engine bars. I replaced the OE Metzelers with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR's and love them. The angle of the speedo bugs me too, in bright light all I can see is a reflection of my white crash helmet! I like the sound of the OEM exhaust but I'm not big on noisy replacements so I'll keep them. A Denali sound bomb horn was also a useful addition. I removed the high level front mudguard it came with and replaced the original which keeps the bike much cleaner in bad weather. I made a rear carrier that replaces the next-to-useless standard item (I never carry passengers) and an auto chain oiler more or less completes the mods so far. I'm 6' 3" but don't find it cramped at all, in fact it's a very comfy bike to ride. Looking forward to the next 10k miles!👍

I had a street twin, than the opportunity came to change it for a street scrambler. Great bikes! Here in Brazil they are not common bikes so everywhere you go someone ask you something about it. So beautiful and fun! Not fast, but fast enough.

That was really fun to listen to .. I have a 2017 left over that I got at a great price in 2018 .. 16K miles so far .. Dropped it in deep sand on a construction section of a farm road ..Yep snapped the gear shift shaft .. I wish the gas tank was a gallon or two bigger and yep a 6th gear for the motorways .. I consider this bike the perfect country roadster for bumpy back farm lanes and dirt roads .. I added the heated grips bigger foot pegs, center stand and a good flat track racing chain .. ALso got the leather pannier but quickly changed up to a home made wooden pannier for carrying winter and rain gear ... Thinking about Öhlins :) but havn't pulled the trigger on that one yet .. Heard of one guy in Yorkshire doing the cam .. I will check back to see that one.. Thanks again ..All the best from snowy New England USA .Yours Guy

I got the 2020 model which fixes 2 of the main issues: more power and better brakes. I'm very happy with mine - it's my 2nd bike, I have a Tracer 900 for long touring and performance, so this is a perfect add-on to the garage. I was sold on the bike when I test-rode a Street Twin (I wanted the Scrambler but they had none for testing) and experienced the grunt and sound - the seating position is much better than the Street Twin and perfect for me.

Definitely going to start off with the Street scrambler, and eventually going to upgrade to the XE at a later date, it makes me glad to know that it'll handle the kind of offroading I want to do right now, which would just be light trails and gravel roads, nothing too crazy. The XE trim will do anything you want it to offroad apparently. Thank you for your reviews man!

Fit the TEC progressive front springs, transforms the handling in a very good way! I have a '17 Street Twin which is on 37,800 miles at the moment again with no issues. The factory fit heated grips are showing signs of wear and will be needing some Grip Puppies before long. Try EBC HH pads, much better than stock, progressive, more powerful and never experienced brake fade even when "playing".

My first bike was an sv650x that I spent a bunch on a nice corbin seat and a nice slip on exhaust. Loved, loved. Super fun cafe thing. But I really missed the hodaka dirt bikes I grew up with. Traded that in for a 2022 street scrambler. All stock, I do want a bench seat and new exhaust but marries now with children. So bone stock and it’s still the funnest bike just a joy. Especially in off road riding around a field or dirt road.

You can't change the Speedo on a post 2016 Street Scrambler. They're keyed to the ECU, swap out the Speedo and the bike won't start. Doesn't matter if you even use a Speedo from another triumph (I wanted to move the Speedo and tacho from a Cup or t100 to my scrambler. No dice)

    Hey Rob
    Great video!!!
I love my 2021 scrambler to bits but I do have an issue with the idle. Not sure if you’ve experienced it. When it’s in neutral it idles at around 1100-950rpm which is great but when you’re riding it and it’s in gear it drops to 1450 ish. Which makes it a nightmare to ride at slow speeds as it keeps wanting to runaway from you. I’m always feathering the clutch around town. Still great bike though.

Enjoy your videos. Did you ever replace the stock camshaft with the TEC camshaft? If so, what are your thoughts? Were you pleased? Did you remap or retune the ECU afterwards? I also have the 2018 SS and have added the V&H 2:1 de-cat exhaust, K&N air filter and TEC camshaft. I feel like I now need a custom tune. What do you think?

I'm confused... you've referred to the 900cc having a higher seated height and more fuel, but the Street Scrambler is only offered in a 900cc. I have a 2017 and it's 900cc as well. What exactly do you have here??? Do they sell a smaller version in Australia?

I have one and am 6’ 2”, been riding for for 39 years - every type of bike you can think of and it fits me fine - not uncomfortable at all. I have jacked mine up front and back but that was for a higher look and ride, nothing to do with comfort. If jacking up I recommend using TEC suspension front and rear. It’s a great bike.

Great video, thanks. I bought a 2019 SS and it is a fantastic bike with the upgraded performance, brakes and front forks. I put a BC Slammer seat on which makes the seat higher and great for a pillion too. Can you tell me please what front light alteration you did, was it just a bulb or complete unit, also what screen do you have and does it make a lot of difference? Cheers. Paul.

Hey man! 2019 is the way to go for sure! I've got the Stedi light in. Link attached. It's a 7" unit though where our housings are 7.5" i think. I had to mod it to make it stay, not too sure if i wanna share that yet, it's a little dodgy, but has held up through all the bs that i've thrown at it, plus it's only AUD$189 so it's worth it compared to other prices. I've got the Dart Marlin and yea, on long trips for sure.

Are the restricted camshafts still a thing in the newer models? I bought a new one earlier this year but didn´t test the 1200 and have no reference to how it could feel different. Edit: For anyone wondering if the Scrambler is a choice for taller rider, I´m 1,90m (6.2) and it´s still comfortable.
