I love keto but on holidays (like Thanksgiving)…I’ll be eating carbs/ sugar and feeling happy about it looool. For me, I just got on a 48-72 hour fast after the holidays to get back on track. It’s never been a problem 👍🏾
I ate very well. And, I chose to eat sugars, grains, and cranberry’s for the first time in 2 years. I loaded up on digestive enzymes and berberine. My energy stayed high and I stayed active. Decision now for me is BBB& E, Sardine, or water fast. Decision to come in the morning. Have you gone 5 day fasting?
I went on Dr. Boz’s 3 day sardine fast once. I chose mackerel instead of sardines because I prefer them, and figured they are probably pretty similar. I never made it to the third day because I wound up with a horrible full body rash! I’ve eaten mackerel many times without a problem, but maybe because it was the only thing I ate on this “sardine fast,” it triggered a reaction. Who knows. But now I shy away from eating only ONE thing for an extended period. Although I have done egg fasts where all you eat is eggs and an ounce of cheese per egg. No problems there. For Thanksgiving I was about 80% Keto, and 20% carbs I never eat (2 1/2 years Keto.) Happy to get back to my Keto way of life that has served me so well! 🤗
i tried that but failed. i had pumpkin pie and cake on thanksgiving then i tried fasting but my addiction was too strong and bought a bag of chips the next day. if i eat carbs and sugar I cant help myself. i either fast before thanksgiving or disappoint family by avoiding sweats them. only having turkey and ham.
I fast on Thanksgiving, started about 4 years ago with a 24hr. I'll do a 48 this year. For health but also respect for the first indigenous people. Pilgrims landed here and couldn't make it, the first people brought food, taught them survival skills and no good deed goes unpunished. Thanksgiving ended up being their Last Supper, and they lost their country.
Dr Berg really does deserve Pulitzer prize nomination for his efforts in clarifying what good health is and what's going on inside the body with regards with what's in the label that we call ingredient list with the food we buy. He makes more sense than any doctor I've ever met in his field!!
I did have a worry that western medicine 'could' be misleading had doctors ( which were students and youngstas before) learned the wrong things... My biggest worry, was this and it's already the norm.
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this!
This is true...went from 211 to 173 lbs in roughly 3 months and now my weight has stabilised with the healthy fats..low carbs and moderate proteins... This is the BEST thing ive ever done healthwise and I do not even want to consume anytjing other than my diet constituents
Hi Dr. Berg. I just want to say that your videos and advice are so valuable and life changing! I’m a type 1 diabetic and I have been on the healthy keto diet for a little over two months now with intermittent fasting of 18 hours a day. The carbs I get is only from vegetables and nut butters and flours. Since I have been eating this way, I no longer experience sugar highs or lows and I was able to reduce my insulin doses! My blood sugar average for this period is 130! I lost 8 pounds, have more energy, my chronic shoulder pain from playing violin is almost completely gone and I have been able to sleep all through the night for the first time in YEARS! Thank you so much for your healthy keto videos and intermittent fasting and all your videos because they are life changing!! Anyone thinking about trying this, take it from me, it is life changing! You can live without consuming grains, sugar and carbs and feel amazing and improve your health dramatically!❤❤❤❤
Been on the Keto diet for 4 months now. Waist was 44" now 34". All health problems have dissapeared. Thanks for all the advice Dr Berg. No short of a miracle!
Thank you for including oxalates as one of the things to be concerned about when consumed in excess. I've correlated oxalate consumption with skin issues (like rosacea) and issues with my eyesight (an early appearance of macular degeneration). This came about when I included some highly recommended foods which I learned are high in oxalates. Specifically, almonds, spinach, chard and cinnamon! I reduced my intake of these foods, and I noticed a reduction in rosacea and the "anomaly" that was appearing in my eye has diminished greatly. I'm not strictly on the ketogenic diet, but I have pretty much eliminated sugar, grains and over-processed foods. I keep an eye on the quality and source of my food, and I practice a time-restricted-eating plan. I've already reached my goal in five months of losing 50 lbs. and I feel great.
the amount of knowledge about nutrition and metabolism i learned from this channel is surreal, literally goes against EVERYTHING we have been taught in school and media and doctors.
@@Spiceydame me too: what especially makes me mad is how they use the most extreme torturous treatment (radiation) on cancer when it NEVER cures it and when they KNOW there are SAFE METABOLIC methods to get rid of it and there is thousands and thousands of medical evidence for it: stopping glucose and going on a keto diet because cancer cells CANNOT use ketones, only glucose, so keto effectively starves the cancer and strengthens the other healthy cells (ketones is a cleaner fuel to burn for cells and preferred for the brain, ketones help make new neurons). So doctors HIDE the cure and treatment and instead give patients the CRUELEST method of treatment that doesnt even work: radiation.
Excellent point in mentioning hyponatremia. I was hospitalized this past August for it, and literally almost died. When the symptoms come on, it happens very fast! If I hadn't been home with my parents with my mom able to take me to the ER, I probably would've just tried to sleep it off and ended up not waking up.
Takeaways: 1. Sugar act as a rust to your Arteries. 2. Fiber can buffer the sugar. 3. It depletes nutrients Mg, Zinc, Potassium, B1 etc .. 4. Grains are not good at all. Refined grains has Gluten, zero nutritions but whole grains has less nutrients and phytic acid ( anti nutrition). 5. Vitamin E is good for heart attack. 6. B complex, protein, Vitamin E leads to. 7. In europe, they ferment grains which breaks down gluten also. 8. Glucose blocks Vitamin C. So no use of Vitamin C 9. For diabetics, they can neutralize effects by adding antioxidants like green vegetables, BENFOTIAMINE, Alpha Lipoic Acid ( ALA) . 10. Diabeties effects mainly these parts - Brain, Nervous system, Arteries, Eyes , Kidneys. So changing the diet is the best decision. 11. Cinnamon, ACV also helps in blood sugars. 12. Fat, fibers is the best friends for Diabeties. 13. Regular Intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting can reduce damage. 14. Lets combine everything to create Cool effect. Salad + olive oil + ACV. Take below to neutralize effects 15. Vitamin B1 , pickle juice - to reduce Effects from Alcohol ( comes from Grains only). 16.Drugs like Metformin - take B1, B12 . 17. Antibiotics - take probiotics. 18. Excess Sodium - take potassium ( eat salad). 19. Oxilates - eat cheese, take Mg 20. Drink too much water - take salt, electrolytes. 21. Intermittent fasting+ keto -- take multivitamins. 22. Stress -- Take B1 vitamin, Zinc, Mg, Exercise, stress.
Thank you for your summary 😊 I have IBS recently, it flared up. My stomach and gut on fire. It may have been the iron tablets I was given by my GP as levels low. Had a camera down my stomach and found nothing. Had a celiac test and negative. Sensitivity to gluten came up as extremely low in my blood work but from biopsy there was a level of inflammation. I started fasting, included magnesium and omg like a new person. And yes. I still eat my sourdough wheat/rye bread, it is homemade. It is all these commercial breads with zillions of ingredients. I no longer buy anything with more than 3 ingredients in it. For me I don't think it is gluten. But so far, touch wood, I feel OK. Good day.
Someone was spying on me yesterday! I was prepping for Thanksgiving yesterday. I'm the chief chef. I totally fell off the wagon snacking on too many carbs. I didn't even check my ketone levels thus morning because I just know I kicked myself out of ketosis and I nearly always stay in. Feeling disgusted w/myself! Thanks Dr. Berg and the encouraging words from the group. Today is a reset💪
@samanthaporter6662 It's tough isn't it? I crave both sweet and savory! I just know I feel so much better eating smart, and that has to be my motivation. Good luck. Stay strong. We've got this!
My take on this. Life is to be enjoyed. Doing keto or eating right is important but 2 holidays a year and a birthday is to be LIVED. Enjoy what you want in moderation just get back in it the next day. Being so strict sets you up for falling off. Trust me. I did the same. Now I enjoy the holidays and an occasional splurge. I just drink ACV and cinnamon in water after I eat carbohydrates. It WORKS.
Hi, Dr. Berg ! I've been on your healthy keto diet for 1 year now. I take suplements too. Everything is fine and I cured my acne, insulin resistance and PCOS - everything thanks to YOU ! Your knowledge and kindness are amazing ❤ Greetings from Poland 🙂
Congratulations! I know a lot of effort goes into making these changes and there is a power and joy that comes with knowing you've healed yourself. I'm working on healing my acne I'm managing PCOS as well. Wishing you continued success!

Thanks Dr Berg, I was on you IF & Keto for 4 months earlier this year, some great results but have been off for 3 months. Some, not all, bad habits have returned. I started back on keto yesterday. Great timing on this video.
I find peer pressure from family, friends, coworkers is the quickest way to derail any diet. Most everyone I've told I'm on OMAD recoil in shock and react as though I've got an eating disorder. Nope, being overweight for 40 years has been the disorder. Stick with it, dude. You'll get back on that wagon.
My go-to blood sugar lowering protocol is a glass of water with a tablespoon each of Apple Cider Vinegar, Cinnamon, Ginger & Cayenne pepper, along with 2 grams of electrolytes all in one drink, before a meal. Then I chew 3 cloves for an extra antioxidant hit. Absolute power punch to blood sugar.
Thank you for yet another interesting and very informative and helpful video. I am a huge fan of yours and I follow your videos regularly. It's really helped me to completely change my lifestyle and I have now graduated down to just one meal a day intermittent fasting. It's been 8 weeks now and I have lost 28 lbs. It really works. I never thought I would be able to achieve just one meal a day but by following your advice and tips I actually find it really easy now. Although it was a bit tough to start with. Thank you. Thankyou. Thank you Dr Berg!
You are so kind. You know us so well. You know a lot of us will eat carbs this week and some next month. Thank you for giving us some healthy and fighting tips. 😘
"My friend" drank a couple beers in the pool last week and usually I, I mean "my friend" gets a headache and even feels slightly hungover. I, I mean, "she" had Dr Berg's electrolyte powder and had no affects from the alcohol. Thank you so much Dr Berg for helping "my friend"
This video is amazing. Fully packed with information it explains how sugar and carbs interact with vitamin levels. And gives plenty of practical insights. Need to go through multiple times to grasp all the information.

This was excellent. I ate berries from my property all summer, which are not available now in the winter. However, I did pressure can what I could for the winter. I'm sure it won't have the same kind of vitamins, but at least I have it. I am a keto person and I love it. No sugar since April.
Good morning, Dr Berg! I love watching your videos because they are very helpful. I am glad this video is brighter, background low and volume loud and clear. I always share your videos to Hispanics, Asians, etc. And this will keep their attention because I want them to understand the information you are sending. Thank you, Dr Berg😊
Great video Dr Berg. Can you do another video on overcoming a sugar and carbohydrate addiction? My weakness is so called keto bread as well as dark chocolate. I usually eat OMAD or 2MAD, but i struggle with extended fast, and i used to do it easily.
As a fellow addict I can only tell you what works for me and the only thing that works is not having any. If I have something like dark chocolate I'll have cravings for sweet things for at least 3 days and my addiction wins(which happens a lot) and I have anything else those 3 days may end up turning into a week. Then I go through the phase where I feel horrible physically and mentally from the sugar and carbs again which I'm sure you know about and I get stuck in the I'm gonna stop the eating this trash and then failing loop. I don't know if it'll work for you but for me avoiding it is what works best and frozen blueberries are the only thing that can satisfy my sweet tooth without any side effects of cravings.
yes, sugar is a drug, I was raised on it. I just don't bring anything in the house. If I brought ice cream home I would eat the entire carton. Well fast forward and I don't do that anymore, I look at things in the store and just am repulsed by most of it. It will get easier and then you won't even miss it.
You’re not going to die an early age because you ate a little dark chocolate or an extra piece of keto bread!🤣. You might even live longer because of all the antioxidants dark chocolate contains…..The answer is to gain more will power to not consume the whole container of chocolates or the whole loaf of keto bread in a single day….portion control is key!
@captnse Portion control doesn't work for addicts. I'll use alcohol as an example. Some folks can have a couple of drinks and be okay, whilst one drink for someone else will lead them down a long road of multiple alcoholic beverages. Some people will say it's a choice, but with addiction, the best and only choice is to avoid whatever you're addicted to at all costs, because if the addict makes a choice to try and indulge even a little bit in their addiction it often ends badly. Food addiction isn't taken as seriously because it won't kill you immediately, but if you look around especially when you go shopping you'll see it's rampant among people. So the problem isn't consuming 1 bar of dark chocolate. It's trying to stop after 1 bar of dark chocolate. For me my biggest vice is dried fruit which sounds silly on the face of it, but if I consume even a handful of it. That starts of a cascade of me consuming all sorts of sweet things afterwards. Whereas you may be able to indulge in sweet things and control the portions, that's impossible for some and it's not by choice.
Thank you Dr Berg! You pulled me through the corporate manufactured enigma of health. You gave me every piece. It’s pretty powerful and corporations do not want us to have independence or our dignity. You’ve given me that back. Bless you! Forever and ever!

Dr. Berg, your comprehensive breakdown on countering the effects of sugar, carbs and stress is invaluable! Your insights on nutrient-rich solutions, from fiber to B vitamins, are a game-changer for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
Thanks for the vid Dr Berg, I have found all your information very helpful and life changing. I was a unhealthy lacto ovarian vegetarian as I didn’t really like vegetables just ate a lot of bread and pasta eggs and cheese. 3 years ago I went keto and intermittent fasting with long fasts up to 6 days every month. I lost 120lbs in 8 months my BP plumeted and I came off the BP meds which was great. I became more active and my insuline resistance and inflammation dropped as well and I found I actually do like vegetables. I fell of the wagon last Christmas and have been eating more refined grains and sugary stuff this last year. My weight stayed the same and my BP climed a little but my inflammation went high. I stated needing to urinate at night and thought it might be a prostate problem starting but it was actually kidney disease, as I found out after a bood test 4 weeks ago. I went straight back onto a strict keto diet and now 4 weeks later, no night time urination and my inflammation has dropped considerably. I am glad you covered whole grains, as I was avoiding them when on keto, but I love organic oats and ancient grain cereals with no gluten and added them back into my diet last week with some organic yoghurt and berries. I now know I cant cheat on the refined carbs and sugar now as I need to repair my kidneys and keep them functioning well. Keep up the good work people need this kind of truth and help.
Glyphosate is sprayed on wheat crops as a dessicant before harvest. This practise is forbiden in France. So some australians are surprised not to be allergic to breads and pastries when visiting France. In fact in this case it is not only the loyer level of gluten but also a réaction to glyphosate d
Good morning. I’m fighting severe IR. 11 months on Carnivore, BBB & E, or under 20 carbs. At 104+ glucose monitor. Test upon waking and sleeping. I do intermittent fasting and up to 5 day fasts as well. Suggestion? I’ve found I have severe allergies to most vegetables & Fruits. I eat no grains of any kind. Writing this at 3:12 am. I live on a ranch and run it myself. It’s my gym. ACV raises my blood sugars. Any idea? I am in ketosis. I’ve noticed most often. I do drink bullet coffee. Mainly water, tea hot & coffee. I’ll use the same pod 20 oz hot water. I’m not allergic to coffee. I’ve only eaten Berry’s or green apples in the year. Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, & heavy whipping cream & cheeses - hard & cubed blocks no fillers
You may want to cancel even the green apples. Possibly improve the nutrition of your animals you eat meats from. Also organic coffee and only a tiny cup from it. Also, see his videos cortisol, causes and effects of high cortisol.
The timing is just right. Happy Holidays! Oh, I learned that you can "walk" at the table with no one knowing. Just alternately lift your toes and heels. No one at the table will know, and you burn up considerable glucose this way.
I appreciate all your advice and your tips. Doctor and I am so grateful to have stumbled across you. You may be young but you are packed with useful information N, I am so grateful for You Keep on bringing that real knowledge and keep on being your amazing self.
Hey, Dr. Berg. Please make a video on lentils, legumes and beans and how it impacts weight loss and blood glucose. As an Indian, its very difficult for me to do Keto because legumes, lentils and beans is staple for us.
I want to know that too for the same reason, but this is my current conclusion from trial and error in my personal journey so far: I don't know how food is processed in India, but in Europe things like canned beans do often contain added saccaros for some reason that is one thing to check for, other than that it seem like the fiber content is somewhat self regulating in that it may cause runs or constipation if one owereat the less good things, for me it usualycause terrible runs if i owereat that type of food as bulk, same thing with grain products after i started my diet, but i can still eat my pancakes a few times a year, however now i can just eat two or tree of them before my stomac start to protest... which i think is good, beside grain products another thing i did not know about before if to not owerload the liver with fructos, which mean one should probably be careful with sweet exotic fruits, but as i understood it is ok to eat things like dates as long as one try to keep it a t minimum and not eating those praticular types of fruits every day. (i am not sure exactly which types of fruit does, but i assume it is primary those owerly sweet ones, or if one live on a diet primary based on sweet fruits, i think fruit like apples and cherries, etc are ok, at least i do not experience problems from them whan they are in season in my own garden, those fruits are also slef regulating in thet one gert runs if one eat too much of them anyway and they also do contain a lot of vitamins and minerals which are good for the general helath, i see gardenfruits (perhaps You can get them from local farmers if You don't hawe a garden) as an important food supplement, way better then the artificial pills!). (Sorry for My English, it is not my native language)
I would be in major problems. One lugumes of any type and I blow up like a balloon. Love green and yellow beans and bean sprouts, but the started giving me major problems around age 55.
Thank you Dr Berg just got my first electrolyte powder and my second vitamin D 10,000 IU bottle can’t wait to keep increasing my knowledge and stay a customer to your wonderful products. Keep up the great work and God Bless.
I've been trying to eliminate SUGAR for about the last 7 years! It's been mission impossible! Failure! Thank God for dr BERG 🙏 whose been a preacher, teacher and reacher , to the people about the destructive ADDICTIVE properties of SUGAR!
Me too, but, let me tell you, once you give it up it loses its appeal very quickly and you start to crave nutritious foods instead. You will feel and look so much better. Promise!
Lots of hidden sugars in fruit which can make the journey harder despite voices saying that fruit is good. I love steel cut oats with fruit but after 15 months of Keto only foods to satisfy hunger combined with staggered intermittent fasting will you be able to accomplish your goals. Good health to you… it can be done
Growing up, my Daddy would scold us about about playing near power lines because of the static magnetic fields affect people’s cognitive ability. Sounds like a environment full of slot machines and flashing lights would be a very foolish place to raise healthy children, etc. A couple reasons to stay away from both sugar and high carbohydrates❗️ Much appreciated, Dr. Berg! 🙌
I never got tempted ever since i change my lifestyle to keto. Never craved for them either even when it's in front of me. I just look at the carbs and think of what it will do to my body after eating them
Cinamon is yummy, just bought ACV with turmeric and lemon, i mix it with water and drink to avoid the harsh acids on my teeth. Also, ginger is really good. I drink ginger tea almost daily b4 bed and during the day black coffee, matcha, earl grey and water. I think all those will bring down sugar levels but also flush you out. I also included magnesium supp and have never felt more detoxed. At the moment trying to bring mum's sugar levels down as she is a prediabetic. Her numbers are fluctuating between 6.4 and 7.1 as monitored 6 monthly. She used to take ACV and that worked like a magic for her. Her A1C went down to 5.8 in no time at all. However, she stoped for it gave her acid reflux appatently. After spending over a year listening to all this youtube advice on diabetes, i now have a list of foods she could comfortably eat to heal. Thanks Doc :) Best wishes. 👌
Ugh ,have completely fallen off my diet this past week before Thanksgiving and I can feel it . I definitely feel like crap and really can't wait for Thanksgiving to pass and get back on track and hopefully do better for Xmas
Takes only 72 hours to get back on track. The holidays are social eating time so I tend to allow treats knowing it’s going to be a setback for the next few days and still enjoy the good cheer. It’s good that you’re noticing what your body is telling you 👍
When my husband passed last August being a borderline diabetic at 6.0 l went off the charts! The stress was so bad l got really sick! I had some kind of spells three days a week. I went bananas! I gained weight bloated like a puffer fish and knew l was going down hill fast! I found this man here, Dr.Berg and lve been following and trying to fix myself ever since! GUESS WHAT! ITS WORKING AND IM PROUD OF HIM FOR DOING WHAT HE DOES AND IM PROUD OF ME FOR DOING WHAT HE RECOMMENDS!❤ I also got off the Metphormine due to a pain in my left side lve had for years just under my rib cage! I went to Farxiga and it got worse! I dumped the diabetes meds altogether and l've stayed on what Dr.Berg recommends ever since. The pain is still there but! It has reduced to almost no pain at all. P.S. I don't drink, and l hate foods high in sugars and carbs l always have! Im not a bread and ice cream and soda junkie! Never Ever Was!
I bet. Dr Berg’s videos /articles on stress from the loss of a loved one and on pain / inflammation, vitamin d, on absorption of vitamin D issues may help.
I follow you Dr Berg and I have learned so much. I was excited to start nutritional yeast, unfortified, and did on Saturday. I started super slow with a 1/8th teaspoon. Almost immediately, I felt awful, and it lasted for several days. Wow, I was not expecting that. I even researched before my purchase. I learned we all can not do all the things we learn. Thank you
This is most unusual considering the tiny amounts versus the daily recommended which is about a tablespoon. I have the impression there is gut flora issue or hidden sugar in your diet. You may be a prime candidate for carnivore then after about 45 days introduce one item at a time and evaluate
@seattlesix9953 my reaction or sensitivity was more anxiety issues. I'm not sure why or how but I will not be taking it again. Thank you for your reply and trying to help. I too, felt like that was a tiny amount and geez. So glad I didn't do the regular dose.
@@juliadavid3637 the videos here on thiamine / Benfotamine along with adaptogens Ashwaganda helped my anxiety which was really bad for a long while and have made a noticeable difference. The biggest difference was going to intermittent fasting from 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day down to one meal and maybe one snack. The difference was like coming out a long tunnel. Just passed the 15 month mark and am so happy with the results
I started taking Benfotiamine ( this was about a year ago) after hearing about it from Dr Berg. All my neuropathic pain from my feet has long disappeared. Like magic.
I also eat sugar and carbs occasionally and on holidays - no issue. Never had a problem. I like his advice, it's great, but don't believe in demonizing anything. Pleasure choices are ok as long as in moderation and someone's overall healthy.
Dr Berg I want to thank u for recommending Magnesium Glycinate. I have been suffering from heart palpitations, very severe at times for the last 20 years. The magnesium glycinate has completely eradicated them. I am so amazed and so thankful to you. God bless you thank you thank you.❤❤❤. This is life changing.
Thank You! I wonder is it ok to eat boiled vegetables from preboiled deepfreesed commercial stock ( i know they are not the best, but it is the only fresh vegetables i can get here without being a bilionaire in the winter, i grow potatoes and onions, etc my self) and skip some of the fasting? I did skip out exotic fruits except for bananas once in a while, but i am not eating them daily the wole year, but i do eat a lot of apples from my own garden whan they are in season in the autumn and at least to me i imagine they does not contain that extreme amonth of bad sugar types as some of the imported specimens do. I just feel so darn hungry if i don't hawe any bulk to fill the plate beside the amonth of protein food i can obtain, that's why i use the vegetables. I did skip canned beans after i discovered that they do contain added sugar. Fiber is pretty much self regulatin in my case since i use to got terrible runs if i eat to much of it. (Sorry for my English, it is not my native language)
I am sugar free, but I have one question. Now I do a experiment eating the Dutch version of rye bread (dark roggebrood or Pumpernickel) , except a faster metabolism, I do not experience side effects. It is made with rye, water, salt, wheat bran. Is rye bread healthy?
Thank you, I have seen most of these video's. I can't find any info on this bread, Dutch Rye bread is probably because it is regional (i can imagine, cause most brands taste like cardboard). I think best way to find out is to start messuring glucose levels again. @@healthyketoexperiment7964

That's right. The heck with RUclips and their censorship
He now needs to admit that the human diet is a carnivore diet.
I did have a worry that western medicine 'could' be misleading had doctors ( which were students and youngstas before) learned the wrong things... My biggest worry, was this and it's already the norm.
He deserves a Nobel Prize in the scientific field too ❤
Amen!
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this!

Hi Dr. You can live without consuming grains, sugar and carbs and feel amazing and improve your health dramatically!❤❤❤❤
this is a great story . good luck and be blessed

I stopped trusting doctors since March 2020.

Takeaways:

Good day.
Thank you for your summary
You take good notes! 😁

It WORKS.

9 Ways Dr. Berg BLOCKS the Side Effects Of Carbs While On A Keto Diet
"Nine Methods Dr. Berg Utilizes to Mitigate the Adverse Effects of Carbohydrates While Following a Ketogenic Diet"
Consuming fiber can help buffer the spike in blood sugar caused by sugar intake.
00:25
Sugar depletes the body of potassium, B1, zinc, and magnesium, so taking electrolytes and B vitamins can counteract these deficiencies.
01:54
Refined grains lack nutrients, so the body needs to use its reserves to metabolize them.
02:21
Phytic acid in whole grains can block the absorption of certain minerals, so consuming shellfish can help replenish those minerals.

Gluten in grains can cause allergies and inflammation in the gut.

The more you avoid high carbs, and stay on this version of keto, the less cravings you will have.
yes, sugar is a drug, I was raised on it.
You were the first bestest doctor i learned from..I now graduated to others but i got my start of how to eat keto from you..
Needed to hear this today. Tomorrow is not only Thanksgiving but also my 57th birthday, double wammy! I will try to be strong🙈

I’ve only eaten Berry’s or green apples in the year. Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, & heavy whipping cream & cheeses - hard & cubed blocks no fillers

Hey, Dr.
Casino or red dot?
I would be in major problems. One lugumes of any type and I blow up like a balloon. Love green and yellow beans and bean sprouts, but the started giving me major problems around age 55.
Easy, yes they are staples. Just try to cut down as much as you can. Beans and lentils and grains all turn to sugar quickly!

Sorry to hear that. The videos here may help: www.youtube.com/@DrEricBergDC/search?query=messed%20up%20keto
Takes only 72 hours to get back on track. The holidays are social eating time so I tend to allow treats knowing it’s going to be a setback for the next few days and still enjoy the good cheer. It’s good that you’re noticing what your body is telling you 👍
He’s made videos on how to recover from this. Also, his recipes may help. His family has a whole recipe channel.
Same here. Get back on track.
GUESS WHAT! ITS WORKING AND IM PROUD OF HIM FOR DOING WHAT HE DOES AND IM PROUD OF ME FOR DOING WHAT HE RECOMMENDS!❤
I also got off the Metphormine due to a pain in my left side lve had for years just under my rib cage!
You may want to try other brands. Like Dr Berg’s is great.
Excellent and informative video. Thank you and God bless ❤
You're welcome! Glad you found it useful!
Yes I need this for a friend 😅
I started taking Benfotiamine ( this was about a year ago) after hearing about it from Dr Berg. All my neuropathic pain from my feet has long disappeared. Like magic.
Is Vitamin E fat soluble? What is the best vitamin E to take? Thanks Dr. Berg!!!!
Yes.
He’s got a video out about that. He said “tocotrienols.”
@@trixie9777very promising research… one natural source of tocotrienols is Achiote (aka Annatto)
If from foods, it’d be wheatgrass juice powder, I think.
Have you tried Magnesium Citrate?
Amazing. Glad it helped you. Stay safe and healthy!
@@GeorgeListaI think I did at some point….the magnesium. glycinate is the only thing that has worked.
Awesome 👏 Thanks for sharing!
May I ask how many carbs you are having a day? Not counting leafy vegetables or cruciferous.
Dr Berg. You covered so much here 😊😅 hold on. Let me rewind and listen twice more again Thank you ❤😂
You are very welcome.
Great topic, and great advice and always useful. Thank you so much dr Berg ❤
You're very welcome!
Thanks Dr, God Bless You!
May God bless you, Dr Berg, and yours 7 times 7 for teaching us. Thank you
So basically if we all just prioritized vegetables and fruits that automatically contain all this stuff we would rid ourselves of so many ailments.
Thank you again Dr Berg
God bless you and your team
Thank you very much. Appreciate your comment. Stay safe and healthy!
I used to think keto makes no difference, but it does, you just need to give it some time
Love you Dr berg, changed my life
I am sugar free, but I have one question. Now I do a experiment eating the Dutch version of rye bread (dark roggebrood or Pumpernickel) , except a faster metabolism, I do not experience side effects. It is made with rye, water, salt, wheat bran. Is rye bread healthy?
There is no one answer that applies to all people. We are all different based upon age, gender and activity but also current situation and objectives.
See Dr Berg’s videos/articles on seeds or grains.
Thank you, I have seen most of these video's. I can't find any info on this bread, Dutch Rye bread is probably because it is regional (i can imagine, cause most brands taste like cardboard). I think best way to find out is to start messuring glucose levels again. @@healthyketoexperiment7964
What's a good alternative to breads?
Hello. Please see here: ruclips.net/video/LkBbrbnVnOc/видео.html
I find it easier when I make up my mind NOT TO BUY ANY CARB WHEN AM SHOPPING. This means my kitchen will have close to zero carbs or starches.
How do you feel about sprouted grains, and Ezekiel bread, thank you for your response
He’s made videos on sprouted grains.
Thank you I will look for it
@@johnkotzman3403 Great 👍
