      @@ginomarone8831 You should see how difficult the line 6 Spider Jam amp is to figure out , it literally came with 2 separate stacks of " how to " manuals. I ended up selling it because it was to much to figure out and I didn't use 70% of the options. The Mkll to is so much simpler to figure out!

    I don't think any of the many other tutorials about this amp deal with the 2 right hand sections of the ctrl panel as succinctly as you do. They're all useless. Yours is the video that helps me. Good talking and good finger pointing/cranking. I saved this and refer to it like a school book. Thank you!!

    I went to GC to buy a tube amp, but once I plugged into the Katana 50 I knew I had found what I was looking for! This amp sounds far better than any other similarly priced amp I’ve tried. Somehow they captured the warmth of a good tube amp in a digital setting.

    THANKS SONNY! Your video delivered on its promise to be a beginner's guide. Before plugging in my new Katana i watched this video several times over, writing copious notes along the way. With pen and notebook i drew pictures of all 12 knobs and wrote every function of every knob. I copied the 12 knobs several times over to write notes and knob settings for crunch and lead and brown. I just bought one! They're 199 now because the mk3 is coming out. I have only had it a couple days. All the knobs are scary. You just have to play with it and find the tones you like. I haven't even hooked it to my computer yet. I guess you can download patches that other players have created. I'll play with it more on my day off. Today before work, I just plugged into my fender mustang because I already know my tones on there. It's just a number and go. I'll get the Katana set up like that soon. The acoustic setting is nice. I don't have an acoustic guitar but I like to learn acoustic type songs. It gives your electric guitar a nice clean acoustic like sound. Just don't mess with gain, boost, effects or reverb.

      Let me explain 2u who I am. I am worlds best guitarist producer musician. I dont play guitar yet. But bought1 recently.
      Lucifer stood up Geoff Lawton &Paul Gautschi 2try &conceal whitewash me.
      Geoff &Paul are great. They are indeed world leaders but u have 2chew thgrass spit out the hay. Its that 1% of poison they dont realize Satan gave them that will get u.
      I work with thgroup who designed eden. We were put here 2make a change. We were rejected.
      We are Yahwehs elite represented by thbranch Noah brang in2 the ark. I built my 1st food forest on a mt. Above Los Angeles. I live on a cabin Lake Wister with 50 fruit trees.
      We are stationed USA bcuz most of Yahs people are here. We also are in charge of returning th ark of thcovenant. I know where its buried.
      Right now I control thsolar system. Yahweh calls it "my department."
      I do it with a seperate computer program. Dimensions are computer programs. So basically I built a 3.5 tons quartz &precious stones motherboard being the fire mentioned in Revelation. It also makes plants gro like crazy. Do NOT build any 4 device recipe but Yahwehs.
      We are thwhite horse rider given a bow &no arrows. (Unconventional weapon) Its a capacitor basically, Yahwehs life force commonly known as orgone. I built it right here in my yard spanning 50 miles radially.
      In this way angels are returnimg from Pleiades system. Thsolar system was heaven once, my motherboard is a portal 2heaven &works out past thconstellations burning Satans dimension. (Outer space is thbiblical abyss)
      All thworlds problems can be solved in thgarden.
      The universe revolves around fertile soil. All cities were founded on fertile soil.
      Jesus stated he who lands on fertile soil will inherit eternity. Soil is everything.
      I have single handidly transformed thlocal fauna with electric bicycle& 15 gallons seed from wild edible plants Los Angeles basin. That strain of DNA edible plants extra special as indians there recieve 2springs per year &developed plants at a faster rate.
      Wister is parallell with LA on latitude &so also has 2springs. But we get 55" rain. I would have chose this spot 2incorporate your project. Such as the barren pine mountain range in Muse.
      Lucifer destroyed USA mostly using farmers &especially lawnmowers. USA had no fences when Yahwehs people (Israelites) lived here ( = Indians. Violent Indians were Atlantians, Satans kids)
      Yet these peaceful gardners had buffalo at arms reach &an eden of full sun edible plant patches on fertile soil due 2BEAVERS. U must have full sun beavers bought that AND water& fertilized soil. (In summer beaver ponds dry up and deer &bear swarm the profuse shoreline fruits &rich greens)
      Satan uses LAWNMOWERS lower water table &destroy roadside edibles. Most all edible plants grow on ROADSIDES. So Satans boys keep roadsides annihilated.
      Earth was named Shan when angels lived here &our solar system was heaven. It had fruit trees &gardens back then.
      When gardners stand on thshoulders of Lucifer or his trojan horses they are doomed 2failure. There are some basic inherent problems I am seeing with your approach.
      Meanwhile 95% people on earth now are not humans. They dont know that. Yah calls them plasticines. Biblical tare race. These money trail non profit organization are always businessmen. Plasticines are computer animations basically. (Satan puts demons in flesh bodies using Hadron Collider.)
      These poisonous people are engineered as messiah pharisees but so as 2always foil gardening, in the end.
      Satan allows money 4food only.
      98% You Tube videos are Plasticines.
      People deluge these false christs with praise &cash. 90% of thcash they allowed 2pocket.
      Genuine or false heroes aside Yahweh warns lead my people back to ME.

      Hi Josh, sorry, I already did this and didn't make a video. It was a lot of steps but if you follow instructions from BOSS on how to do that, shouldn't be any issues.

    Heya sonny, thanks a lot for the video.
    I have been banging the same amp for like 6 years (some Roland cube) and this definitely helped me out on deciding on what would the next upgrade be. Both the sound and presentation of the amp are gorgeous, I wonder how well will it sound with my new PRS SE Standard 24

    Excellent demo on the use of the Kantana 50. The user manual leaves a lot out. I would like to know if you’ve done a demo on setting up the different channels, using a foot switch to switch between them as well.. Again Great Demo…Thanks…!

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  Год назад

      I did a demo on footswitch setup. Just search sonnyrocker katana boss and you will find it. As for different channel... no, everyone sets it up differently. Just set up the panel how you want your channel to be, then save it. I would make channel one distortion rhythm, and make channel two the same, but LOUDER and higher gain and use it as a solo boost.

    I just got home with my new Boss katana and read the manual. Then tried to use it. The manual is totally useless, bank a, bank b, hit the channel button then the panel button to change banks, what??? Why didn't they add a bank button? So stupid. Thank you for your video, without it I wouldn't be banking! Thumbs up:)

    Hi Sonny, I am back again. Just a quick question. You mention you don't take requests, but I'm giving it a shot anyways... I'm not after tabs/chords.
    I am just seeking a particular sound (or close enough to it) for a song I am currently learning. I have this amp. It's an 80s aussie band, so you'd have to search RUclips for it 😉 but if you are willing to give a young lass a quick function setup (just a photo of the dials), I would be so ever grateful. The song means a lot to me. If you say yes, I'll advise the song/artist, but wont't waste your time right now. 😊
    If you are unable, I respect that greatly. Take care. 🤟🎸
    Thankyou for your time. Mel from Oz!

    Same as others said, the manual is useless unless you have used similar amps. This is my first quality amp with built in effects other than spring reverb. Your video demystifies it, but I need more of a tutorial.
    I don’t understand how I know whether I’m in bank A or B, and if those are completely different effects, or if I can combine them.

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  2 года назад

      You can't combine the effects from bank A and B using the amp itself. You can do it but you need the Boss Tone Studio. If the red light flashes, you are in bank B. If not, then you are in bank A

    Sonny thanks a lot! But my amp fx effect is always on even I turn the knob to off. The light is always on and factory reset does not help. Do you know any solution for that problem?

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  Год назад +1

      That's strange. It shouldn't do that. While the light is on when you turn it off, is there any of the effects coming through? If not, then I would just ignore it and not worry about it.

    I just got mine and am playing in manual mode on the brown setting (red) with humbuckers (Les Paul) and I wonder if you have a bad instrument cable or if your guitar is improperly grounded because yours is making alot of noise. Mine is very quiet no matter which pickup(s) or volume/tone settings I use, and even with the master, gain, and volume cranked up pretty high on the amp it's waaaay quieter..I haven't dove in too deep yet, maybe mine has a noise reduction parameter set higher than yours..but straight out of the box that was one of the first things I noticed..hardly any hum, buzz, or unwanted noise at all..Very impressed with it especially with the price so looow, it's a steal!!
