    It used to be a great platform for artisans with handmade items and vintage sellers but now, unfortunately, it's bombarded by print on demand mass produced crap like amazon or any other site. The artisans are lost in the sea of pretenders trying to make a quick buck.

      Absolutely spot on! It’s really a shame to see how much Etsy has changed. It used to be a haven, but now it feels a lot like just another crowded marketplace. Thank you so much for pointing that out-it’s such an important conversation to have!
      For those without a personal website though, Etsy can still be a stepping stone to gain some initial exposure. Although I'm a fan of Squarespace for artisans now, because It's pretty straightforward and even has Etsy integration to help streamline things for those making the move, more seamless. However, it does mean they would need to tackle some marketing on their own.
