A note to those complaining about the high flight costs in Africa. There is hardly any competition. Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways dominate in this arena and are the few airlines that fly across all regions including the islands off the coast of Africa. Other nations and airlines need to invest here seriously to help bring the cost down. Also, Africa is not small (it is actually shrunk on the world map). Direct flights from West Africa to East Africa take several hours like you are going on a transatlantic trip. Basically, until others step up in African air aviation, Kenya and Ethiopia will continue to set the prices to their benefit. The ball is in Africa’s court.
You are so right on high they ha e made maps of land mass and makes Africa so small, I just fall out laughing. All the world maps are designed to belittle Mother Africa . They want to fill superior of their BEGINNING.
