In Kenya there are two types of property/land ownership terms; 1) Freehold- this is for Kenyan citizens where you permanently own the property until the end of the world. 2) Leasehold- for non-Kenyans who lease the property for 99 years
All the accolades are very well deserved! You are a rare act. I actually got hooked. Our very Kenya Tourism Board should take note that you have done much more in one visit in promoting Kenya, in a very authentic way, than they could in a year. They should retain you as an a tourism ambassador, especially targeting the diaspora market!
The vast majority of cab drivers are very ignorant. I see them all the time on RUclips giving tourists false information, and it can be really aggravating at times. Foreigners can only purchase leasehold property, not freehold.😊
Next time see more property slightly on the outskirts of the city centre. Try Kerarapon, Athi River, Namanga Road. You will be spoilt for choice, trust me.
1:08 Dude is clueless. Kenya has restrictions. Foreigners can only have 99 year lease but locals are not bound by leasehold unless the property they purchase is already on leasehold, if it is freehold then it remains so only to Kenyan citizens. However, if peoperty is freehold and a foreigner purchases it it automacally changes status to leasehold. No foreigner can own freehold property in Kenya.
@@alexmunene4124 The statement that Kenya has no restrictions was very loud and blatant which is quite misleading coming from a REALTOR!! He made made it seem like there is no other side to his statement!

It was an honour having you around as our esteemed guest and visitor. Your vlogs are way up there and had me, if not most anxiously waiting for the next escapade and serving. Your ending, oh my! in each coverage, though I profess not to understand the words, cuts deep into my very soul as I believe you are speaking to the Centre of our individual existence. Big up Jasmine and you are welcome to come back to the magical motherland of Kenya. You brought sweet nostalgic memories that made me miss home. Following you from Seattle Washington.
I need to buy a home with a young nice little Kenya lady to marry. A new house without a young beautiful wife is like a cup of tea without sugar. Find one for me and I will move right away to Beautiful Kenya.
They are NOT as greedy as WE Ghanaians where land that is not imported are sold in dollars and those of us who live abroad are promoting this. How on earth could a land or everything in Ghana be priced in US Dollars , yet workers are paid in GhC
That’s because inflation in Ghana is significantly higher and fluctuates more than in Kenya. But the inflation in Ghana reflects significant economic activities which is good in some sense but bad in other cases. The homes being sold in dollars in Ghana are not for locals obviously. These homes by and large are built to western standards.
@@samuelkobby5723 …can you name ONE single bad policy that the Akufo Addo government took that is responsible for the current state of Ghana? I actually commend the government for investing in education and infrastructure development even though the returns are not immediate. Ghana will benefit from it when future analysis look back at this period and conclude that these policies spurred the growth.
@@dadoboye1536 So now Ghana belongs to foreigners than Ghanaians, is that what you are saying? Ghanaians must become homeless in their own country but foreigner must be housed because foreigners can afford it. So why then do we condemn the presence of the Chinese in Africa?
