- The British army is in a state of collapse. Not only have the Conservative government massively reduced the numbers in the Army over the last 14 years, but now woke diversity targets are threatening the future of recruitment.

I served. I would not serve again. I voted for Margaret Thatcher, to save the British armed forces. I will not vote Conservative again. I will never vote Labour, nor will I vote Lib-Dem. The game is up.
I feel the same, but it’s no use for asking for change, if we don’t vote for it. I will vote Reform UK to give them a chance AND to get the traditional parties to rethink in defeat and reconsider their actions/direction of travel.

i am not religious at all but was brought up as a Christian so understand the sentiment of the book, yes I think it gives people morals to live by and for the most part I agree with them just not the god part, i think there are nearly 300 gods recognised by different faiths over the time.

At the height of the "troubles", in the 1970's, the structure of the IRA was based on the British Army, because many of its members had been in the British Army. They joined up (as many did in WW1) in order to learn weapons and tactics that they could then use against us.
Sinn Fein, the one organization you thought Irishmen could trust to have their backs, recently condemned a graffiti written on a wall in Ireland that said, "Indigenous lives matter." I'm a British Army veteran and left the UK after i saw the writing on the wall back in 2005.
I wouldn't go back to the UK even for a visit and I'd be damned if I'd fight for her again.

I served in a British infantry regiment in the 80s & 90s. I was very proud to be part of the best and most professional army in the world. My regiment like all regiments was proud of its heritage and traditions, but even then I could see the damage being done by amalgamating county regiments, watering down the history of those fine regiments. Our military have been let down by our politicians and is now not fit for purpose.

i tried to recruit as a reserve for both the RAF and Marines as I am an experienced aircraft fitter, sheet metal fabricator CAD operator and now engineer, I didnt hear back from either of them!

As a former royal marine I am disgusted by my country and government. I would never serve again and I will ensure none of my sons do. Why would I want my sons to serve an elite that clearly hates us, and one that lacks the spine to openly prioritise its own first. We might not be a religious country with common core beliefs anymore but our ‘opponents’ do. You live on a small island in the North Atlantic just north of the Isle of Wight and have one of the highest population densities in the world. Way above the carrying capacity. And, no, a few immigrants don't make any significant difference. If anything, they add more value to the local economy than many lazy Brits. The point being, Britain hasn't ever been an insular island in the North Atlantic. If you want to preserve 'global Britain', especially with the empire long gone, you definitely need to be more friendly to foreigners. Trust me, I have no reason to BS you. All our institutions rotted like a fish, from the head down, So any clean up would have to work from the same direction. There will be a lot of people out there who have witnessed this in places they have worked. They know that if graft is going on, it would be a waste of time reporting it to certain channels, so they have two choices report it and risk your safety or that of your family, or keep quiet and hope things change. There are are lot of good people out there who will stand up to be counted when some support can be relied upon, but while Police and the Justice system are mafia controlled, whistle blowers are hesitant.
