  • Estonia Prime Minister Kaja Kallas is one of Ukraine's biggest allies - and says Nato needs to do more against the threat of Russia.
    [Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe]
    Estonia is also one of Nato's biggest spenders. The country borders Russia and could be one of the first countries if Putin decided to invade.

All wars are started by a perception of weakness , Argentina did not think the british could retake the Falklands , they thought that was impossible , Putin did think it would be over in a week , and he would visit Kyiv like Hitler visited Paris.

She has called for breaking up Russia into a thousand pieces, exactly proving one of Vladimir Putin's main points: not content with breaking up the Soviet Union in 1991, USA/NATO wants to break up and destroy Russia. Kallas heads a micro-nation of 1.3 million people and wants to wage all-out war against Russia, a nation of 144 million with a strong military and extensive natural resources. You don't need to be particularly pro-Russian or pro-Putin to realise that she is one of the dumbest and most incompetent "leaders" in Europe. If you want to start WW3 with Russia, and destroy Europe once and for all (after the horrible experiences of WW1 and WW2), then by all means, support this stupid woman that Estonians are unlucky to have.0

      Excuse me, I think POTUS who is shadowed 24/7 with a Pentagon Officer who holds the 'Football', literally the 'red button' which can start WWIII, knows more what he is doing then you do. Ukraine never could have survived as a nuclear power, Putin would have taken them out a long time ago with that as a Casus Belli, not to mention they didn't have the launch codes or ability to maintain or upgrade them. The fault is two fold, neither the West nor Ukraine (yes Ukraine!) prepared for this full invasion after 2014. Ukraine is a conventional arms building country, but their MOD wasn't buying any. All their tank production went overseas.
      And yes escalation is a serious issue that I think the leadership has a better handle on then anybody on the internet, so it makes no sense for you to on the one hand say 'just give them ', and on the other hand talk about WWIII. Final comment about giving them 'whatever it takes', you know they didn't use all the arms that were supplied for the spring counter offensive. Their army is still operating under Soviet doctrine, which is small squad based. That's why the Bradley is so effective. The US advised a major effort to push to Crimea but they didn't do it, instead fiddled around and then just sent out squads, which inevitably led to this attritional war.

      Ukraine never had a nuclear arsenal. It was russian. Same like US nuclear weapons in Europe.

    • @dannydetonator
      @dannydetonator 3 дня назад +3

      @AndrePepink
      False equivalency. US has agreements and personell to maintain the few remaining nuclear weapons oficcially owned and controlled by Pentagon. Ukraine actually posessed nuclear systems on their own for around 4 years and had capabilities and personell to use them. They were left in Ukraine when Soviet army returned to Russia, and reason Ukrainians had competence to use them is because in largest part it was Ukrainian engineers who not only designed and maintained ICBM/naval nuclear systems, but actually produced them before.
      Idk what you try to say, but if Russia could have taken them in 1990-1992 without a blip, why would they sit down with US and UK top diplomats and drafted Budapest memorandum in exchange? The Belarus and Kazakhstan didn't have to do that despite also possesing USSR nukes at the time.
      I'll tell you the main reason Ukraine happily agreed: they were in unprecedented financial crisis with record inflation, which made maintenance of the aged ICBMs an untenable nightmare. That and promises of safeguarding the country's security by 3 parties worked.. untill they didn't. If you wanted to make a point about Budapest Memorandum being weak in international law, you could have come up with something less rashist to prove that point. And mine is: Ukraine were tricked and betrayed by more than just Russia.

    It´s a tragedy as well as a big failure of western European societies, that we were not able to transfer a feeling of safety and our policy of detente to the east but instead were infected with their russophobic revanchism, that to shed seems a low hanging fruit for leaders in the Baltic or in Poland.
    Kaja Kallas is the leader of approximately 1,5 million people and we let her behave as if she was of any importance for Europe. Had any right to talk in the name of Europe and its 400 million people.

      Not going to happen. Estonia has been invaded before and Estonians understand what threatens them. Travel from Tallinn eastwards and the country changes from native Estonians to Russians. The fact that the river crossing over the Narva to Russia has a castle at each end of the bridge tells you something about history.
      Most Americans are completely unaware of the world outside the USA. Politics in the US involve a party that wants permanent minority rule, even if achieved by questionable means, huge political polarization often based on ignorance or lies, meaningless fearmongering, unnecessary religious interference, pointless arguments on marginal topics, and politics by performance on social media as a replacement for reality. It's not conducive to Estonian-style politics.

My God! someone that profeses hate towards one country and that does not consider diplomacy and advocates for peaceful solutions should never be hired as the EU Foreign Affairs chief. What would it be next? bring the EU into war against Russia? Against China? Against anyone she dislikes? please don't respect - these guys are threatening Russia around its borders in order to smash russia into pieces and then have total global control (which they are losing at the moment) - so they started this threatening via Ukraine over 10 years ago already (taking down the government in Kiev, bringing the weapons in, killing 11 000 people in eastern part, including ca 1000 children) to which Russia had to react to (as its russians in Ukraine + they are bringing long-range missiles, nuclear at their border - imagine Russia bringing these weapons at the US border - it would be crazy) -
      so now these western guys (which also guide Kallas) have killed over half a million ukrainian people by weaponizing them against RU. Estonia and Finland are just another places to move terrorizing weapons into, in order to over-extend (as they call it) Russia.
      And I'm living in Estonia. Ethnic estonian. They are ruining us here atm with their weapons. It's idiotic to detsroy Russia, this cannot be done , so they just kill people and earn money for military industry in US.
