Yo man, could you do a video focused on mixdown...compression, eq, side-mid, between basic elements such as drums, bass, synth, so it's pre-master standard? ^^
Legitimately love your content dude ,it's actually really helpful and I would love to buy your jungle kit and other stuff you do but I use FL studio . Any thoughts on you doing anything similar for us guys using FL studio .
Because of you, I could create my first track which became a banger within a couple days. Never been so thankful to a RUclipsr before. You deserve so much more attention!
Glad I found your channel man. I've been wanting to get into making DnB for awhile. Got a lot of inspiration from Danny Tha Wild Child, Phatom 45, and DJ 3D.
a lot of hisssssss on that parallel compression trick for the drums.... theres a really amazing video from Sonic Scoop on the "loudness wars" that details this "white noise" that compression adds to your tones. some people compress everything, and it may serve to minimize the frequency of compression with more gain and eq management. contradicting myself on tonight track though, currently compressing my lead line! the noise does CUT but its just NOISE, so be easy hahaha
Nice tutorials bro. I've had a look through a few of them and really enjoyed the Pigments video! I've been using Pigments for alot of ambient pads and had no idea it could produce horn bass and other worldly filth.
Hello Stranjah Very nice tutorial! I have learned a lot from you so far thank you! One question : Where did you get the Amen break from? I used a custom made amen break but I get really shitty hi-hats when I rearrange the hats..
Sick tutorial as always man. I'm down for a level 2 follow up as well. and just because I'm that guy... still waiting for the "Trash 2" tutorial you mentioned on your Amen break video. :) We all own Trash 2, I can't be the only one that will enjoy it. Just as a thought, in that video you used the hats from the Think Break to layer with the Amen and casually mentioned that maybe you'd do a Think Break tutorial down the road. Maybe combine the processing chain you used Trash 2 in with the Think Break tutorial. anywho, I'll walk myself out.
You should show them the other way to parallel with a dry wet stack chain. I like seeing the compression send with hi pass. I have never hi passed my compression send before.
Haven't used all of the techniques on your channel yet but I'm implimenting them where I can. Top top content for all of us bedroom selectors and proddys! Would love a video on that Lupo style high bass! ✌ + ❤
Stranjah, thank you for the video. To answer your question, I use stock drum sounds from Ableton mostly, but it depends on the genre of music. Your sample packs fill those needs. Thank you!
Why do you need stranjah to show you that? Mastering is the same for pretty much any electronic genre. Just watch the videos that are already out there.
Hey I just started producing recently :D my snares are just not tight enough in the mix would you say it's the overall length or the transient of the snare?
Might have to dig back in your videos (and all the ones I've seen are good) but what I would like is a follow along start to finish (this is why I chose this and panned it like this, this is how we make things sound cohesive etc etc)if that would be possible.? I've been trying to produce using FLstudio for years, always starting something but never finishing because I think it's crap, or it sounds good but doesn't sound right, and I have watched tons of videos on how to make this sound, these drums etc but their is nothing that can take someone who isn't quite a noob but still doesn't fully understand what to do if that makes sense. I know it sounds like a lot (and will probably get some stick) but I have loved trying to produce music but can't quite get the jist. Stupid noob type question that I can never find the answer too, do you have to have a audio interface if you have no desire to plug instruments/mics in? can hou use the output from pc if you want to use headphones (I use HD25Ps) or would a A I give a better representation of the frequencies that play through it compared to the PC jack?
Thanks for your questions and comments, good point about going more in detail about the mixing stage, will look into it. Yes an pro or semi-pro interface will reproduce certain frequencies better, for example I have seen better sub bass reproduction on an audio interface. That said, a PC output is good enough if you're not too fussy. I've produced on a Creative Soundblaster for 10 years (and got music signed) before getting a pro card.
@@STRANJAH Thanks for the reply. I will definitely have to look out for those vids. Would you do a subscribers track review/remake better type video that I have seen a few producer tutorialists do (if that's a word 😁😁) Hopefully you can be my one last hope to crack it. 😁😁

I work fully in the box in 24-bit Audio. I have heard the argument that going near 0 is not an issue for 24-bit as you have additional headroom. I adjust my sounds while I compose. Usually I optimize the levels in the instrument itself and try to leave the fader at zero (I know I used the fader in this video though)
Thanks again for another great video. Me and probably a few others would really benefit for a tutorial on how you level things. You did a quick one here but you stop at “sounds about right”. Also nice mask - caring for others shouldn’t be controversial smh. Also just discovered Loopmasters Original Jungle pack - its pretty old but has some great amen and other breaks remade and produced so royalty free.
thanks for your feedback Alex. For me there isn't that much more to it, than listening to whats right. I also give the technique where I bring the level significantly down, and then slowly bring it up until it sounds right. Perhaps that will help. I don't have any advanced techniques. Sometimes listening to the track at a super-low volume to hear how everything sits helps! Also doing A-B comparison with a track you admire also helps. Thanks for the tip on Original Jungle Pack will check!
