Hey Ed thanks to you I was able to swap out the bearings on my pulleys. Paid a mobile mechanic a few months ago and found out one of the pulley system weren’t spinning at all and was stuck. Causing the belt to slip over it and eventually rip, there was a loud squealing noise but mechanic lied and said it was due to engine oil leak. I called bs and fixed it myself once it snapped. Going to be workin in my own cars from now on.
That's great to hear. Glad you were able to fix the issues and avoid bigger issues down the road.
What did you use to press out the bearings?
EdBwoy I used and old skateboard trick and used the old same size bearing and put it on top of the new one using a rubber mallet to gently beat it in. To get it out i found a socket that fit into the hole of the bearing hammered it in then used a hammer to hammer the bearing out once it got to the bottom I grabbed the whole pulley and banged the socket against the pavement.

@@EdBwoy haven't... Found a 13 m56xS for 21... It sold, so I'm still shopping.. Not in a rush and found the x and s go for abt 10k each, so for the price of that 1 xs i cld get 1 of each. Still not completely drawn away from the 45 tho...
@@mikeschaner5853 if you were ready to spend for the xS, you could find a Q70 in the same ballpark. If you don't really care for the sport model, I'd look at those as well.
@@EdBwoy can't do it.... Toooo much "future" for me. Same with the q50... Uncomfortably Future for me... I'm used to drivin 20 yr old shtboxes 😆. That's a BIG tech leap for me

The blue and white cluster does look a lot better than the yellow in the 06-07 M35 i have both a 06 M35S & a 08 M35 i like the lighting in the 08 better
I think the white light is more pleasing to look at, but I thought the orange was better to see with, if that makes sense

Awesome. Did you by chance record the stock sound too for comparison?
@@EdBwoy Silly me I didn't lol. But if you look on the Tube. There are plenty of stock exhaust note clips. Once I throw my vid up I'll be the only one with a Hooker AeroChamber muff.
@@zoehaze all good I suppose. Same car, same camera etc...would show the difference more dramatically, but we'll take what we can get.
I don't think I've heard of any VKs with the Hooker system. You might set off a trend here

Hey, Do you know if the gauge cluster, radio/nav controls, and touch screen from a 08+ M35/M45 will work on a 06-07 model???

As far as I know it has been done. You might want to check out the NICOforum. If I remember correctly everything has to be swapped. IE. The radio which has the PC in it, controls, and screen. Check the forum and if you don't find the answer ask.
Yup! As Steve said, the cluster swap has been done. I know I've read it somewhere, most probably the forums
Ed... i got an issue... i have 2008 Infiniti M45x and my overhead dvd Monitor is Displaying a White Screen when the dvd players is on. It plays on my dashboard but not on my overhead monitor. Is this a common issue? What is the problem and how do i solve this issue?
That is not a common issue. My limited knowledge on media devices tells me the screen itself has an internal malfunction so it is not able to translate what it's getting into an image.
It is a considerable amount of work, but perhaps buying a used unit as a replacement.

I have sprayed strong cleaner on my car touch screen and it's unresponsive ... Please help me..
If it doesn't respond to tactile input after it dries out, then I imagine replacement is the best option.
You can still access the screen menus by other means, right?
But anyways I have a question, I tried to get a smog but didn’t have a emission label. Dealership said they no longer produce them and couldn’t find any online to you have any spare ones or no a junkyard that has one. for a Infiniti m45 2007? Thankyou I can pay through PayPal if you do!
Emission label... What state are you in, and what info does the smog place need to get from it? I'm trying to recall if I've seen one
California, shows what the compliance with epa emission regulations. It’s usually located under the hood on the top

Would they accept a picture? Or do they need it to be affixed to the car?
EdBwoy it would need to be the actual sticker, know it’s a long shot just asking around since the dealership doesn’t make them for some reason. And I bought the car used and later on learned it was in a bad crash so they probably had to change the hood.
Oh, I see. Now that makes sense. Try sacc city auto parts, I see them advertised nationwide as having a lot of Nissan and Infiniti parts. Call and ask if they can peel one from a damaged hood.
Is the 06 a touchscreen and if not can I add it?
The touchscreen came in 08. I do not think it would be a straightforward swap
I took the bigger screen and whole nav from another 06. I’m going to make a video about it once this damn trump furlough is over
