I know that I have a great taste in music when I got this band within 5 minutes of hearing them back in the day! Timeless, classic and so talented! Such a shame we don’t have the chance to listen to them in todays world! RIP Mark Hollis
Take me back to the 80's. When there was a sense of peace. A time before 9-11, before the great recession, when everyone seemed more united, when music was just plain better. Take me back...
I agree ! The 80's was FAR Better than the CRAZY, Insane world we live in today ! And the music was far Superior than today's Crap. I'd be first in line for time travel back !
80's had better music but do not sugar coat it. The economy in the 80's wasn't exactly great, there was much more drug crime, and the emergence (at least via discovery) of AIDS came about. Every decade had their pros and cons.
Although the economy had it's ups and downs, the big thing to me about the 1980's is that the United States wasn't involved in any major war. How long has it been since the U.S. could actually say that?
I LOVE Talk Talk. I heard that beautiful voice of Mark's and had to rush out to buy a record back in 1982. Now I can't stop watching Lee on the drums...Wow! He's so animated and passionate.
I used to listen to this group years ago I liked them but now i just realised how great and unique they are Mark Hollis is a master his voice sends shivers up my spine and wow those last two albums not giving in to the record company that is the mark of a true artist. Talk Talk sound as good today there music has not aged still sounds amazing and 20 years of not being heard, This industry is cruel sometimes and to just doing your own things can be joyous.
GRAZIE Mark Hollis per le tue meraviglie musicali... La tua splendida voce e le tue splendide canzoni resteranno per sempre..Grande Mark Hollis..R.I.P 😢
Dear Mark, I had the honor of seeing Talk Talk perform on my birthday at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 1984. You opened for Stevie Ray Vaughn and Berlin. You were, and always will be, incredible. Thank You. Good Night. God Bless.
The best music I've ever had the privilege to listen to in my life. The most awesome music known to man; God rest his soul.- Troubled though it must have been.
You have excellent taste Rosemarie. I’m a little bit younger but the band has the same affect on me. Something truly great about the music they created.
i just love this song so much, never ever get fed up with it. Mark Hollis was such an individual in the music world, love all his work, if only he would resurface somewhere, we need individuals who do there own thing.
...I Cannot Believe That The Talented ..Mark Hollis is Gone....It makes me feel a Whole lot Older....And I WILL Always REMEMBER The 1980's and Listening to TALK TALK....Epic Band of that Era....R.I.P....Mark..+++....You ARE MISSED....
Might I interest you in a short drum-cover of this extraordinary song with some live drums? Enjoy! ✌🏻🤩 ruclips.net/user/shortsBDNVsezq7f8?feature=share
The inspiration for this masterpiece came from a rather unlikely source. Tim Friese Green got the idea for the battering ram drums from the rhythmic pattern of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill'! Meanwhile Mark was playing a riff on the piano that resembled Booker T & The Mg's classic sixties hit 'Green Onions'. If Mark had had his way, it would not have been on the album, as he wanted 'It's Getting Late In The Evening' to feature instead. All's well that ends well, as it ended up being the flip side to this single anyway!

Un pur diamant... les mots sont trop limités pour dire le sentiment ressenti... ♥ Repose en paix Mark... merci pour cette musique magique, vibrante... La mémoire du coeur n'oublie jamais ^♥^
I was always a 70"s guy, my era, but the 80"s were good also, especially the talented group TALK TALK and the great Mark Hollis and that voice. Your never too old to appreciate good music but you gotta be open minded.
Still shocked over the news of losing the talented Mark Hollis and that unique voice. A great band of the 80's. Much to underrated but not by their loyal fans and followers. RIP MARK, your family and band members are in our prayers and thoughts.
Life is what you make it, Celebrate it, Anticipate it, Yesterday's faded, Nothing can change it!!! Lol idk if it was in that order, but it sounds good to me. Here we are in February 2018, I'm sure maybe 20 years from now, some younger person will be reading this. Take care of yourselves :)
Life IS what you make it ~ so make the most of it ~ we're never guaranteed a 'tomorrow' ~ Life's short and goes by fast ~ live each day like it could be your last ~
Norse man ~ that's right ~ life's a journey and the road is rarely ever smooth ~ lots of highs and lows along the way ~ and it's not a matter of counting the years, but making the years count ~ life's not measured by how many breaths we take ~ but by the moments that take our breath away ~
Hi Monty ~ I've been ok ~ been having some health scares recently ~ yes, the winter wreaked havoc on us the last couple weeks!! We had over a foot of snow and extremely cold temps! Good to hear from you ~ Hope you have a great weekend and do Relax and listen to some great music!!!
mrhippy100 ~ I'm going to have to have some tests done ~ heart issues. I hate going to the doctor ~ or hospitals ~ I think time/age is catching up with me.
A rare glimpse into a genius writer and singer of music from the future. we miss his lifestream from this world. He has retired from all music after this recording it seems..
When you could smoke in UK pubs and so you could sit back comfortably in a bar, inhale deeply and have your own private 'music video moment' while listening to something quality like this - the good old days.:)

yeah take me back: into the miner's strike, city ghetto riots, ira bombings, falklands, cold war, nuclear threat. the grass is / was never greener
People had conciousness.
There is no happier person on the planet than that drummer. Also, RIP M Hollis.

You have excellent taste Rosemarie. I’m a little bit younger but the band has the same affect on me. Something truly great about the music they created.
Forget the "remixes," which only muck up a perfect thing. The original -- this -- is THE version of this song to listen to.
RIP Mark.
You were, The Greatest Of All Time.
Thank you.
Mark Hollis we are all grateful for music you left behind rip

i just love this song so much, never ever get fed up with it. Mark Hollis was such an individual in the music world, love all his work, if only he would resurface somewhere, we need individuals who do there own thing.
Band melanconica, coinvolgente e affascinante che ha lasciato il segno nonostante i pochi ottimi lasciti.
