can someone explain me how it got 700 spdef (8:38)? i know about nature and ev but is it the assault vest then? kinda new to competitive pokémon.
@@arthur5238I think when the sandstorm is up, any rock type mon receives a 1.5 boost in their sp defense and the assault vest most likely helped it out to get 700. I may be wrong on this since I am also quite new to competitive pokemon.
@@arthur5238 in sandstorm, rock types don't take chip dmg and get a 1.5 sp.defense boost. Pair that with Assault best boosting the STAT by 50%, combine them both and you get 2.25x special defense, rather than just double.
Finally, a PKM Showdown channel whose videos don't have clickbait titles with too much cringe edits stuffs, and doesn't fake their matches.

I think making this Tyranitar a mixed/special attack with this specific team may work. Preferably a lure for Ground and Fighting types. Tyranitar's movepool is pretty stacked after all.
