Yea just remember there are buyers fees, Detailing costs, transport, Possible repairs, (oil changes) maybe tires? dealers need to meet a minimum standard. So the profit margin is really tight on these after paying Rent.....Dealers need to have a retail space to be able to maintain dealer status. And are subject to Consumer affairs regulations.

My wife and I’ve bought a 2010 Mitsubishi outlander as a throwaway car, meaning we did the least maintenance as possible oil change every 5000 miles, never change the transmission fluid never change the differential fluid never changed the rear end fluid never changed the timing belt. The car had over 200,000 miles on it and still ran good. The dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree but still ran good didn’t matter to us. We kept it down in a second home in South Carolina where they don’t do car inspections. We bought it brand new now that we know how reliable it is. We bought a 2018 outlander sport that we change the fluids once a year every fluid in the car except the motor oil we change that every 5000.

Your logic would make a lot more sense if you bought another 2010 with low miles. Assuming that a 2018 will be like a 2010 is an idea with very little basis, for any brand.

@@big0bad0brad what I’m trying to say is I bought a 2013 Honda, and I also have a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander sport but back in the day when I bought the 2010 Mitsubishi it was just a third car in my family. nobody took care of it nobody really cared and it lasted which is a testament for the brand is what I’m trying to say.
My other two cars, the Honda and the outlander sport. I changed all the fluids yearly weather I need to or not except for the engine oil back. It’s changed every 4 to 5000 miles.

Post will state “ run as it should, heater and ac work well” + $399 “processing fees” excessive greed will bring destruction and no sale. Ends up wholesaling it to a neighboring dealer for $300 over actual cost.

And I get it, I'm probably the only one who feels this way - I'm alone, I'm the outcast, that dude who doesn't "get it." But I think the auctioneer lip-flapping babble is just utterly stupid. It's stupid. It's a tradition that's stupid. It sounds stupid. Why can't he just clearly call out the bids, clearly interject occasional comments to facilitate bids? Fuel economy and emissions regulations are going to get so strict in the next 3 years that most reliable engines will be gone or ruined by heavy and unreliable hybrid junk. That additional junk is expensive and will put pressure on keeping prices high. Plus newer trucks are gar age compared to the one it replaced. Pre-2022 Tundras are worth more used than a 2022+ Tundra. Nobody wants the newer ones because the engines blow up and the transmissions fail.

With what Insurance pays for a totaled vehicle, usually not enough to replace it, definitely need more used lots following these guys model.

    Wow, i payed 10800 for a 93000 2011 forester same color. I wish i bought your car, i would've saved 1/2 price.
Although i did have an 09 before and the biggest things are head gaskets and timing belts.

Hi there! Is it generally safe to buy a vehicle from a dealer bought at an auction? I am interested in a 2021 Tacoma that was bought at an auction. It is Toyota certified. 34,000 miles… should I be concerned about it being auction bought? Thanks so much! 😊

    Here's an honest question.
Would you buy cars at auction for a predetermined customer? For instance, i want a Nissan Titan. 2016 I'd be willing to pay 20k for one under 100k miles if its in good condition. Would you be willing to sell it to me with a $1500 commission? Is that legal?
