To those that are getting the bottom screen showing red and freezing, make sure you have the USM file on the SD card. Check out the guide in the description that writes the steps. You'll see a picture of the files needed on the SD card and it'll link to the USM file. Took me like an hour to figure that small detail out lol

For those who have 2 (or more) folders inside the Nintendo 3DS folder, you need to rename the existing Nintendo 3DS folder to something else like BACKUP_Nintendo 3DS, insert the sd card into the 3DS and boot it up (you won’t have any of your sd card games or theme info, this is normal, you didn’t lose anything so don’t worry) then wait for the 3DS to create home menu management stuff on the sd card, which will create a new Nintendo 3DS folder containing the correct ID0 code you will have to use

For the 3ds, if you’re on luma v11 and up then you can safely update your 3ds, if it’s under v11 then you gotta change the boot file of luma on your sd card then update the 3ds
im having an issue where when you are supposed to power on your 3ds with the combination of buttons, and change the proxy settings, it froze like he said it would (but only the bottom half of the screen was red (no other colors appeared)), and when i restart it like he said to, it didnt do anything different.

Copy the in link into your browser then look at his video and complete the link make sure you search the link and not immediately go into it from the search bar it will just show the video again if you do so 4:18
you did not include anything about downloading the unsafe mode or food43ds. there is no link in your description. This tutorial becomes completely useless at that point.
Hey, it's cause we didn't put the usm file on. The video skips over that part. Look at the guide that's listed in the description. Check each picture shown til it lists all the files that should be on the SD card. You'll see a link to download the usm file.
Hey, so the link for the exploit injector doesn't work (it takes me to a rick astley video... for some reason). So I went and manually put the website in myself and the folder that I download isn't called UnSafe but rather DSIWARE_EXPLOIT. I hope this doesn't cause problems with the process.

I don’t know what I did wrong but the Luma folder isn’t automatically appearing for me- ? and safe reboot didn’t update like it was supposed to I’m not sure if this is due to the fact that I updated my system before attempting to jailbreak it. What confuses me is how unsafe mode worked fine and the same connection settings appeared yet no flashing or safe reboot update.

I had a Japanese 3ds and trying to get it working with emulators was painful. This update seems simpler. Might get a vanilla 2ds to hack.

You didn't show where to download unsafe_mode from? Or did I miss that in the download dump?
Check the download user the description they aslo changed the file name so it should be called something I think DSIware

Your SD card is probably corrupted, they often force write protection to save the data on it, you'll have to get a new sd card^^
