Just graduated last thursday and made honor grad! Make sure to study for that EOC test and volunteer for a leadership position. I was the PT monitor and no one in our flight failed their pt test. I helped people with their running and pushup/situp form.
Overthinking BMT is not it. I graduated February 03 2022 and I went in thinking I was just gonna get by and knew I could pass the bare minimum on everything. Always doubted myself and thought everyone around me was better. No leadership position, never did chow runner, but I paid attention and did what was expected, managed my time. Got honor grad and got a 97 on my PT test ran a 10:20 with pneumonia and almost maxed out push-ups and sits ups. It’s all in your head. Now that I’m in my first duty station I’m getting my pneumonia treated. Lmaoo
Anybody who reads that and believes pneumonia “is all in your head” should go ahead and write a will. You might get snatched out of the training and put in a hospital off base if you’re lucky, but you’re more likely to drown in your sleep in the bed and gradually do worse on PT before your death.

hi, nice channel. I am in the process of joining but because I needed a waiver I am only allowed to list 10 specific mechanical jobs and half of those are maintainer jobs and I am scared if a maintainer job pop up for me. is the maintainer life 12 hours a day 7 days a week for most of them time? In general how tough is to be a maintainer for someone who has no background? My dream is to be an officer (cannot directly apply to be an officer because of same waiver) I am bit worried if I am not going to be a good maintainer I might not make an officer......
I came in as a waiver and was limited to maintenance jobs as well. I took one and didn’t mind the job at all, however I didn’t want to do that originally, so I cross trained into intelligence. After doing that I realized I like maintenance more than I thought. I did Intel for about 3 years and cross trained one more time into recruiting. Maintenance is 8-9 hour days, 5 days a week. It’s not a bad career field. My biggest con with maintenance was the outdoor elements. I don’t prefer working outside, so that was a downfall for me.
