    I’ve been in the Air Force for 8 years now and your tips are right on the money. In the past year, I have learned these tips on my own and I wish I understood them before. I guess that’s part of my growth and I’m thankful for this video because as I was watching it, it gave me time to reflect on my career as far as when I learned each step and which ones I am still working on right now. I must say, Tip #1 needs to be at every work center. I wish I learned this when I was an airman and as a young NCO. Tip#7, Watch your Mouth, is something I am learning to express in better ways. I just know that I fluff people’s feathers when I speak up for my airmen. Thank you for a great video. Keep it going!

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  2 года назад +4

      Thank you for the transparency. Man it took me about 12 years to really learn this stuff, so I take my hat off to you for learning this at 8 years. One more tip I learned, if you don’t want to ruffle peoples feathers, the best thing I’ve noticed is if you first massage their ego, you can get people to listen and buy in to you.

      @@Jodywithawhy That is a great tip! Thank you! I will keep that in mind and keep working on it! Coincidentally, I am reading this book called, "How to win friends, and influence People" by Dale Carnegie and that tip is on there! And thank you for the complement but I have most definitely been lucky with having the wrong people around me and learning from them then having the right people around me to support me. I will definitely share your channel with all of my airmen. You just can't share these types of lessons enough.

    Tip 2 !!!!!✊🙌🙌✍️

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  2 года назад +1

      Yea number 2 took me years to figure out. I honestly used to think in order to be successful, someone who was already successful needed to help me. It wasn’t until I took my responsibility for my lack of success, that I actually started to find success. 🥴
      As far as the process, I can make a video. But for you right now, it really case by case. It depends on qualifications, date of availability and job preference list. Depending on these, it can be anywhere from 1-12 months, but on average 3-6 months.
