Jason was a criminally underrated and underutilized bassist. I can only imagine how much more he could have enhanced Metallica if his creative contributions wouldn't have been stifled

Omg I fell in loooove with Metallica while on sick leave. Because I ignored everyone while chasing Prince in the 80s. Jason was a beast to the point people are still arguing over who the best bassist was, him, Cliff, or Rob.
