Every time I watch one of your reactions, the first thing that comes out of my mouth is "I love this guy!"
I just love your enthusiasm and how joyful you are when you experience the music that shaped my life when I was a young man.
i have thought the same thing you said
thanks man really appreciate that glad you're enjoying the content and thanks for the comment always brings me joy to know you guys are enjoying the vids!
I LIKE TO COMMENT ON HIS VIDS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THAT'S HOW HE TALKS. ALL CHOPPY!
We definitely have a similar mindset and taste. Cheers 🍻
That guitar player is the greatest guitar player in music history. Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott, a absolute legend and guitar god who was murdered on stage. Rest in peace dimebag Darrell. Gone way too soon.
I don't get why ppl say this other than he died..... there's no singular greatest. There's to many insanely good guitarists out there that are better at certain aspects...... dime was no doubt a great, and the best known at the techniques he frequently used, while being insanely technical, but just the same, there's other insanely technical guys who've mastered numerous other techniques that dime didn't use enough to have have mastered on the same level, even if he could do the same stuff well, if he tried. Then there's the guys who could play his stuff with ease these days, that dime himself influenced to pick up the instrument and evolve it, similar to Eddie circa 70s and 80s. See Ola Englund and some guitarists he mentions for example. I loved dime, but don't like to see outrageous claims, that even these guitarists we idolize shoot down, and believe me, dime is an idol, and I wish I had a quarter of his ability. It's not as ridiculous as 94, when Cobain, who influenced me to grab a guitar, magically became the greatest guitarist to millions, but for all his greatness its still a ridiculous to call dime or anyone else the greatest. Besides, if there is a greatest, it's likely someone we never heard of, unless it's in the songwriter category, because from a technical standpoint, being far too technical usually equals a product that is devoid of life and unlistenable.
Dime didn't die that night. Phil did.
💎
@@sheeitcuhhh6301 ohhh a word
Had the pleasure of meeting him and he made me crouch on all fours and sat on me like a throne. Brilliant memories.
That drop after the solo is sooo heavy. Never gets old.
Heaviest!
I wanna put that part on repeat and live in there for a few days
This performance is so metal! Its in Moscow and the military was literally in the crowd beating kids with batons while they were moshing! They had never seen anything like that before! The crowd chanting during the breakdown always gives me chills!!
Even the band had shit before the show. Like a tent and some vodka if I remember right? Lol! Shit was fucking epic!
@MilkMuffin Pantera drinking before a show? Nah couldn't be 😂
Nice L’Enfant pfp.
They were headbutting kids with their helmets on.Disgusting
Even some soldier just quit guarding and moshpi-ing to the song
There will never be another Dimebag Darrell. He was the GOAT. May he R.I.P.
Domination....the Godfather of all breakdowns! Pantera is an absolute legend. I was into metal since few weeks only, dealing with Metallica and Iron Maiden...and "Vulgar display of Power" from Pantera came out. My life has changed forever, same as I discovered Jinjer few years ago. Dimebag was probably the best guitar player of his generation, and probably of the next ones too.
Dude, we must be twins ! 😀
Probably?? 😄
You are GD right about Jinjer, brother. FGN awesome!
Jinjer is trash
They played live for many years before they got famous. They were already a well-oiled machine when this album came out. I think that's why a lot of people love this performance. They are just so tight, pretty much zero sloppiness.
This is one of the best breakdowns ever
Darrel just killin it. Never ceases to blow me away decades later.
This was a legendary concert in Moscow in 1991, Pantera, Metallica AC/DC where there were 1,6 million people and Pantera played in front of approx 500 thousands people. Metallica also have a video from this concert from the song called 'Creeping Death'. Wish I were there 🥲
this music still sounds so fresh, considering that this show happened over 30 years ago :)
PanterA is the band that got me into metal!!! Been waiting for this one!!! This video is from Monsters of Rock in Moscow Russia in 1991.
And you can tell our man really felt this shit. Good on ya, mate. You just watched the greatest moment in heavy metal history.
Rip Dimebag and vinnie, I never tire of watching this performance and when the breakdown drops if you don’t bob your head your not human😂 hey you need to check out Alien weaponry, I saw them support Gojira and they were unbelievable. The song Kai Tangata is right up your street…choppy choppy 😊
One of the highlights of my entire life - I'm 38 now, but when I was 19 I was in a 3-piece band with two of my friends who were brothers. I did bass/vocals (and was mediocre at both) and we did a medley that included this. The guitarist (who looked just like Phil, but fat. He even had the same tattoo on the side of his head) figured out how to do the lead part starting at 7:37 by tapping the high strings while playing the rhythm by hitting the open low strings at the same time. There were maybe 30 people in our biggest crowd, but it sounded like an amphitheater when he pulled that off. Definitely check out more Pantera. Every album is a banger.
Pantera, Opeth, Gojira & Tool are my 4 favorite bands of all time. Stay reacting to them, I'll stay watching and liking \m/-.-\m/
much more to come of these bands my friend thanks for watching!!
Dimebag was truly one of a kind, so was his brother Vinnie (on the drums). They both had the habit of showing up at various clubs around Dallas, usually together, and Dime would hop up on stage and play a song or two with whatever band was playing that night. Legends. RIP, brothers.
RIP Vinnie & Dime. True legends in the metal scene! So sad they are no longer with us!
Was in Arlington Texas at Christmas and went to visit their Graves! A must do if in the Dallas TX area
@@chrisabernathy1082 Getcha Pull \m/
This just can’t be beat. The pinnacle of heavy metal
Epic concert, was in Russia after the Cold War, Metallica was there with them, there was something like a million people there, one of the biggest concerts in history. And that guy on the guitar is Dimebag Darrell, one of the biggest legends in guitar playing.
Yeah dude - Estimated 1.6 million
Hello from New England..I was 19 when this concert went down...It was all over MTV when it was still MTV...This is Dime Bag's best solo IMHO 🤘✌️It was estimated that there were over a million pll at this show
i dont care who you claim or suggest, Dime will always be the G.O.A.T. to me... Getcha pull!
Every time I watch this, I can feel how pumped Dime felt, knowing he was melting everyone's face.
Vinnie’s double bass, Dime’s squeal. Almost makes you wishing you were in Moscow. R.I.P. boys.
Dime is in heaven, loving what you’re saying. He only wanted to make people happy.
Can you imaging being Metallica seeing these guys play this song as their opening to your concert
I read that there were over 1 million people in the crowd for that show. Absolutely insane.
I liked how he said it made all his requirements and we hadn't gotten to Dime's solo. I was thinking to myself, "Just wait brother... just wait."
One of the best metal performances in history, truly, this song and plenty of others on mandatory playlist rotation, and randomly so you never know when the aggro will hit you, might be in traffic ~ Dime Forever!
The brothers dimebag and Vinnie, masters of metal.
I absolutely love watching people's reactions to this!!! Especially if they have never seen Pantera before.
Thought you might like that - insane crowd also. Pantera was the loudest concert I ever went to, loved it. Their album 'Vulgar Display of Power' has a picture on the front of someone getting punched in the face - seems appropriate. LOL
THAT is a band with something to prove.
This was at the Monsters Of Rock show in a Moscow airfield, shortly before the fall of the Union in 1991. There were almost 2 million people there. When they had run out of tickets completely, admission was free, you just had to show up.
Unfortunately Dimebag Darrell, the incredible guitarist, had passed away in 2004. He was shot on stage by a "fan". His brother, Vinny has also passed away in 2018 from disease. He was the drummer.
I wouldn’t call the lunatic that killed dimebag a “fan”
“That guitarist” mate he’s possibly the best metal guitarist ever, he’s called dimebag and he is a stud
It's called Domination for a reason. That breakdown is the hardest around.
Pantera is such a insane band. I really recommend checking out their top hit 'walk' .
nah there's better than walk, floods or im broken
Crunchy chugging chops of total death. A fleet of dragons pumping silent columns of flame while circling over and over a burning city.
This song is the definition of Domination.
Love it. Just watch a man get grabbed by his soul by the greatest heavy metal band.
The crowd is Moscow and they're not the only band!
This is the best reaction to my favourite jam by my favourite group! Bravo!
I've seen this clip so many times but it's been a while. When the riff dropped and you said, "Oh come on!" I got chills man. Fuck yeah.
Welcome too the Pantera monster of heavy in your soul of what you never knew was in you. I had the blessing privilege too see them live 6 times.
Incredible experience of a life time. 🕯💯🧨💥🤘🏻🤘🏻
To be honest, Phil totally phones in his vocals on this song. "Primal Concrete Sledge" from this same concert, on the other hand *chef's kiss*
Metal has never been more 'metal'...Period!
DIME and the dudes of Pantera - ABSOLUTE LEGENDS!
Listen to this love, cemetery gates, new level, walk. Believe me you will love it
Man I wish I could go back and witness Pantera for the first time again. Been 20+ years since I first heard them, and to go through that discovery again, and realise all over again how Dimebag is the fucking GOAT, would be incredible.
Just incase no one else here has mentioned it, that right there playing the guitar is Dimebag Darrell, one of the most revered, and rightfully so, guitarists in all of metal.
Them Texas boys don't play around!!!!! Pantera Forever!!!!🤘🤘
Absolutely no doubt they were the best metal band ever. To think otherwise is insane... nobody was this good at it.
Wonderful TEXAS BAND we love PANTERA!!!!!!!!IN TEXAS WE LOVE THEM .
R.I.P. Dime Bag and Vinnie
Yeah, you definitely want to listen to more.
Any Pantera song is a banger.
I always remember this being filmed in Russia..... and they were known for their Huge metal crowds. \m/
Saw them with Tool, back in the earlier 90s, and then ended up going to Ozzfest 2 days in a row, and catching Pantera, Static-X, etc, for 2 days.
Yup.
Being in a Pantera crowd was everything you imagine it would be.
I believe this was the most attended concert in history. A MILLION people attended 🤯
*1.6 million
It's a great crowd, for sure. But there have been a few bigger concerts in the past.
There have been bigger crowds for sure. Not in Russia. Not smack dab in the middle of the fall of a world superpower. Not in a country where this music was outright banned and all those people weren't even supposed to know the songs, much less be singing along. And the crowd estimates range from 1.5 million to up to 6 million. Literally nobody was counting because at a certain point, tickets and head counts became irrelevant
Not the biggest crowd ever, but probably the best crowd ever
“Straight into the playlist”- Aussie. “FAUKIN RIOGHT BAUD” *speaks in canadian*
Over a million in attendance brother ❤hail Dallas Texas and Pantera. Love from Texas cousin 🇬🇧
And another Pantera fan is born. Considering the god fathers of heavy metal
R.I.P Brothers of Metal 🤘🏻 you are forever missed, never forgotten
Pantera are the godfathers of Groove Metal. This song comes from their 1990 album Cowboys From Hell, which was heavily inspired by thrash metal bands of the time (their earlier material from the 80s was more glam/hair metal material), but subsequent albums showed Pantera developing their own distinct style. If I had to pick a favorite album, it would probably be The Great Southern Trendkill from 1996.
I heard when they hired Phil, he said he wasn't gonna wear no fuking spandex, lol. True or not, sounds like Phil.
That breakdown is fucking HEAVYYYYYYYYYYY!
Pantera - Walk
So few music videos are done straight live. This and NIN's Gave Up are my two favorites. You will love Walk by Pantera s well.
I'm always jealous to see someone experience this for the first time! Best motherfucking band EVER!
Yes.... Going down the Pantera rabbit hole.... Soooo much great music... More reactions for this band plz... R.i.p Mighty Dime and Vinnie
Best Metal Band of the 90s best metal guitarist ever
Gotta say that, I'm glad you didn't stop 🛑 in the last minute or so, it's just pure headbanging 🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥💯💯👊🏽
My favourite band of all time!!
Over a million people. They thought there would be 50,000. You should check out more PANTERA if you like this.
This is unforgettable and legendary. 💯⚡⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the Spartans had this bumping on their headphones at the Hot Gates.
Legendary metal band! You must do IM BROKEN!
The reason it sounds so good........................ It's called TALENT!!
Dude, great video! I' so glad you watched this rad performance from Pantera!
Your face said it all 🤘🔥🤘 awesome reaction !!
RIP Dimebag and Vinny. Rock Gods.
Welcome to my 20s 30s 40s and now at 55 I'll still mosh to these guys!!! Love your reaction!🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥💀🤘🔥🤘🔥
Pantera for life❤
Walk, My demons be driven, I'm broken...All Pantera jams that you will LOVE !!!!
This is an essential "reaction" video. My friend, you've just witnessed one of the most epic performances in metal history. And one of the hardest breakdowns. Pantera saved metal music in the 90's!! They're a huge influence on many of today's heavy bands
Subscribed! Amazing reaction. My favorite band to this day. RIP Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul.
You want choppy then you have to react to "walk". You're going to love that one.
Oh yeah ,getting into it now my friend .5 minutes alone ,cowboys from hell,Walk, becoming, shedding skin .I loved watching your eyes just open up when Dimebag gets it at 6:40.enjoy this ride too .
Best metal performance ever
Only the greatest guitarist the metal scene ever witnessed! Legendary breakdown! The best to ever do it
Lords unmatched.
Your reaction was great man! CFH FOR LIFE 🤘🤘 Watch more Pantera videos and Enjoy 🤘🤘
Congratulations sivsemo on your introduction to the late great dimebag darrell.
Kings of the groove.
Pantera, one of the best bands ever
The GOAT. Period
If I'm ever in a funk I just listen to this song. #facts
It was just a pure pleasure to watch your face-impressions!
Pantera always gives you a hell of a ride!
Dimebag was a one of a kind. RIP
This is what talent is, and that's why rock never dies. I hate it when the new generation praises the obnoxious ticking rap and fake voices. Dont even get me started on country.
1.6 million people that is awesome
That is legend right there. Pantera changed metal when it was without a true course, no clear way forward. Welp, this charted the course unapologetically and decisively. Hail kings, the new kings, stronger than all. 🤘
You're the kind of man I'd mosh with like family! Hell yeah, my awesome brother!🤘🔥🤘💣🔥💨😃
