Nice, great video! I was here on Saturday. Shame this place seems to be getting forgotten about. Almost took the express route downstairs because of the crap floor upstairs.
(Probably not) interesting stories about this soggy building. In 1917 the son of the house - they owned several houses because rich people- was serving in the war and was witnessed to have ‘fallen’ during a battle. Word was sent to the family back home that he had died. However, the dad was not convinced -because dad instinct - and kept on at The Man that they were totally wrong, sending telegrams and letters for three months until ONE DAY *dramatic music* he received a letter from the postman/carrier pigeon/however they did back then, from his son who was, indeed, very much alive. He was being held in a PoW camp before eventually being freed and returning to his fancy-pants home just in time for Christmas 1918. ANOTHER random story of this house is that there’s an area right opposite the original gates where people would bring their non-churning butter churners to rinse them in stream in order to rid them of the bad fairies that were stopping them from producing butter. That was a long sentence. And no, I didn’t make that up. It was a house, a school, an outdoor education centre, a possible hotel, a possible arts/culture place that failed (amidst a lot of drama over misappropriation of trust funds) then a possible Chinese language school but MOST IMPORTANTLY it was a place where people washed away bad fairies from their butter churn.
You got to love a country who's national animal is the Unicorn! Great video guys, and I appreciate your bravery in roaming the rotten halls of these places.
I really hope you feel better thanks for giving this video considering the fact that you didn't feel well I would have loved to seen this property and home in its prime what a cool place thanks again
You, Lloydy, Al, Jason, Kurt and Tracy are the only urban explorers me + my sister watch, have done for the last two years ! Your banter is just addictive and remarks are hilairious. THE BRIDGE OF DEATH needs to become a thing, and when is Al going to "Let's get this place back in business" ??
My first girlfriend sounded like Norton after his spell of gastroenteritis or "tummy flu". She's got 3 kids to 3 lads and they're all a different shade. 7:02 to experience temporary deafness
Being an ex stone mason working on old farm houses and mansions..that building is a lot older than the 1800's... The stone work gives it away...Norton was more in the ball park of when it was built. .. throughout ages stone work when building have changed .and the way the stone is in this mansion it was more than likely built between the 1100 and 1500's....around 1500/1600 is when the changed the way they laid stonework for building..
Lennox Castle just outside Lennoxtown might be worth a visit. Apart from a private residence it was also a psychiatric unit and a maternity ward (Lulu was born here). Also, if you see the word or name SICA graffitied could you make a note of where you found it and let us know? It's written on walls all the way from Lanarkshire to Sheffield. I just wondered where else it might be written. Cheers, and thanks for great videos.
Another Great vid by my 3 favorite RUclipsrs around great work guys that place looks like it could b redone but idk it's looks fooked lol 😂❤️ that chare looks like that one in Gremlins that shot the old lady out the window hahaha
Fantastic place! Extensive decay for such a short period of time, but then I'm being forced out of my cottage from collapsing floors, walls and severe damp 😕 I've seen better quality abandoned places than my poor cottage and I know how fast it hits and destroys a place if the landlord won't or can't repair it 😞 Loved Al's expression when Norton didn't recognise a fire 😂😂 What was with the loss of audio for that tiny bit? Your editing is usually superb or was there some weird RUclips regulation? cheers for a cracking video guys 😊
Strictly speaking, there is a difference between a cellar and a basement. A basement is for storage and utilities like boilers and stuff. A cellar is for ageing things like alcohol, cheese or preserves.
love watching your videos from a town in 🇺🇸 called truth or consequences New Mexico . you guys get along so well best friends forever .👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a mess they have made of that the fire and big hole in roof didn't help Glaisnock was used as an outdoor adventure place many schools in ayrshire would have visited here or the nearby kaimes centre Its currently for sale for £150000
13:23, "that`s a pretty good aim for a building" made me expell me tea out my nose! Is this episode scripted because you`re funny as hell, yes stairs were invented about the same time as the wheel!
I byde my thyme , was the family motto of a very important family in Scottish and American history, john cambell was forth earl of louudan and in 1745 led the fight against the jacobite uprising, this is probably a continuation of the family, he was offered the job of governer of Virginia while in America, but loved Scotland to much and came home... (might have butchard the spellings a bit sorry)
Your channel, en the channel from Leon Lush, are the only 2 in my list that my husband is also wants to see. Also because the banter between you is always funny as fuck.and as soon i have some more dosh, i want an hell on earth shirt. 👍
Luv your vids guys 🤘. But you should really start wearing some protective breathing masks when exploring these damp, mouldy and possibly asbestos filled locations✌. ️ps. Those mushrooms remind me of "The last of us"😁
It was Mario And Luigi's Place after they beat Bowser's ass then it became a shroom growing operation.🍄 Until it got raided by the Spooks👻now it's just abandoned.
*Next time we lose audio* ( 7:02 ) *can we have Al in the bottom corner doing sign language?*
