Another week, another round of (maybe but probably not) interesting history. Starting in 1861, it was a textile machinery works that made Dobcross woollen and worsted power looms with chain operated mechanism for changing shuttles in weaving patterned cloths. Now I don't have a foggy what that means but maybe someone else does. Something to do with machines and weaving is all I'm taking with me from that. It closed in 1967. ANYWAY, then it was a pallet works site, which frankly is much more straight forward to understand but it didn't last as long as the aforementioned worsted looming thingamabob. Since that shut down, it's been the hot topic of the local village as to what its new life will be: a care home? a school? a safe place for RUclipsrs after they're caught up in a scandal? Time will tell. Oh and the bit you couldn't get into is listed. /end.
The ‘Shuttles’ were long wooden spindles that held the cotton and these would shoot back and forth - like a shuttle - in the loom making up the pattern on the finished cloth.
My favourite days of the week are Tuesday’s and occasionally Sundays, only for the pure fact of your uploads. Just the realness your videos have make them more enjoyable tbh. Love you guys 💚💚
16:53 When you give the apprentice the simple job of putting a door handle on, only to come back a few minutes later after hearing a crash to see he's managed to take the door frame, new plasterboard surround and the light fixture down in the process
I Have been watching you guys for about a week or so and your videos have made me laugh so much in that time. You remind me of my son and two nephews who when I am with the three of them we do nothing but laugh at the bantering back and forth. Thanks for the laughter guys.

The Sound of Bread was an album by 1970’s band Bread released in 1977. Fly On The Wings of Love was originally by the Olsen Brothers and it won The Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark in 2000. It was also covered by XTM with DJ Chucky featuring Annia, in 2000 in Spain and 2003 in the rest of Europe. The innocence of youth !
Daily fact for anyone else rewatching the back catalogue. Meme's have actually been around for centuries but were first defined by Richard Dawkins back in 1976. A meme is any idea spread by repetition.
