We're not serious urban explorers, if you can't tell, so don't expect a history documentary packed with valuable information. Instead expect 3 down to earth guys exploring abandoned places. I know - I think the other explorer's seriousness and dedication puts me off. Its supposed to be a laugh, which these three always manage to do. If someone was to say "Yorkshire lads" - I would think of these muppets.

Like most people I love going to an abandoned building and just walking about. Nothing more retarded than bumping into serious urbexers dressed like SAS with drones and high-end cameras.

This is such a pretty house, it's a shame that it's been smashed up.
I have a bit of history on the place;
Both owners of this business and house passed away in 2018 and the house remained in probate ever since. The relatives are fighting over the deed to the property.
It had a good reputation in the fishery community until the doors closed in 2018, they supplied the highest quality Koi Carp to many of the country's best coarse fisheries in the UK.
The hatchery and fishery, Lower Berryfield Fisheries, was refurbished in 2003 and was known to have opened in 1952. After spending four years studying at Sparsholt College, one of the owners was working on a salmonid farm whilst producing coarse fish in his spare time. He then teamed up with the other owner and they set about redeveloping the site, which today is known as Lower Berryfield Fisheries. Since 2005 the site changed dramatically and now consists of hatcheries, re-circ buildings and mud ponds that can produce over 100,000 one summer fish a year.
The farm was a C.E.F.A.S (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science) registered site and the fish were regularly inspected for S.V.C (Spring Viraema of Carp) and KHV (Koi Herpes Virus). Strict bio-security measures were always employed on the farm with no carp ever coming onto the site.
How do you farm carp without ever having carp on site? Lol
The large rambling house was converted into a fish farm in 1952 and then refurbished in 2003, it gained a good reputation within fisheries circles until it closed it’s doors in 2018 after the deaths of it’s owners. The property was handed down to family members but has been left derelict ever since.
It's been stuck in Probate for the last 3 years, an inheritance issue is causing the delay

I wonder as they were getting older did they turn their indoor pool into a koi breeding pool, that’s why they had carpet around it to avoid slipping 🤷🏼♀️

Christ, that house was a pigsty, even before being abandoned. Wonky walls, plywood and chipboard everywhere, carpets fitted AROUND rugs, carpets in kitchens and bathrooms, cheapy old keyboards you usually find in old people's homes, fake stonemasonry put over stud panels.
It's as if someone won £2.5m on the lottery, and spent £2,499,999 on the house, so they had to do it all up with Blue Peter how-to's and freebies off Gumtree. It kinda reminded me of The Money Pit, it'd likely all fall down if you tried refurbing the place.
I'm in the wrong game if you can buy a gaff like that from selling goldfish (essentially exactly what Koi are.) I'm off to build a pond!

I agree. They all need dedicated mics too, no matter how loud I turn my system up, I still can't hear what some of the lads are saying a LOT of the time. I could be missing the funniest thing ever said 😔
I know it's not cheap, but it's not expensive either - my phone shoots 4k, and I've seen wireless mics for £39. Not ideal, but it shows it's doable for little outlay and as with everything, upgrade as you go - most streamers start with a phone and a wired mic and upgrade and upgrade and upgrade. These lads have been going 6-7 years, time to ditch the Go Pros on sticks (I know Lloydy has a DSLR and yet sound is still muffled.)

I've been watching a lot of the super rich home videos that are about and yeah, people who spend 10mil+ on a house rarely have good taste.
A lot of it seems to be about isolating yourself too, private cinema, private pool, private arcade, etc etc etc
These people were elderly, also it looks like they were on a budget and absolutely aren't super rich.

I was a bit disappointed that Norton didn’t have his hand down his pants in this video.
I think I know this place, however I was here when the guy still lived here. all the pools are breeding pools for his koi. and he had 2 safes because he made a fortune from these fish. think he was caught out by the taxman but uncertain. Great explore, crazy seeing the place like this

Sometimes older people will be instructed or advised to replace throw rugs, hard wood floors, and longer pile carpeting for low pile or shorter carpeting, because it's less of a trip/fall hazard. Low pile carpeting is favorable over hardwood, tile, vinyl etc because it's not slippery....

Anybody notice the blood stains? On pictures... Carpet... Carpet was probably cut out because of a pool of blood... I don't think the owners "left"...
BTW, if you didn't know, you caught some haunted or EVP voices while you were going through the house. For instance, in 16:18 of the video, you can clearly hear "what's going on?" in a low voice. When you walked into the room, you hear whispering. Listen carefully, right after you said "holy s**t, its a phone clock" (16:23), you can hear more whispering in the background. It sounded like "get the heck out". At 16:38, another whisper voice said "GET OUT" right after you said "f**ing hell". It even said what sounds like "YOU ARE ALIVE" and "OH MY GOD" (16:42) after it told you to "GET OUT" in a long drawn out deep voice. Its a very deep whisper that was captured clearly. Play it back and listen carefully for the whisper and you will hear it for yourself.
When you were in the pink bathroom, the same voices were there too. When saw the shit on the floor and after you said "someone done a shit in it", the same voice told you to "PLEASE GET OUT" (16:10). You do have to admit, it was a very polite ghost. The majority of the deep voice was in that room and the bathroom. It makes sense since they are both connected together. Both rooms were probably used by the spirit before it passed away. I think there was actually two voices in the room, but the other voice was much lower and you guys were talking to loudly.
There was a lot more captured, but you were talking loudly so it was harder to determine what the voices said. I bet you didn't even noticed the voices. Be careful when you do go into homes like these because its not as abandoned as you think.

@@Felicity2121 I think you're right at 16:10 where it only said "GET OUT". However, if you go to 15:50 mark when they first came into the room, there was a very faint voice that did say "please get out" a slight pause and then "of here" as soon as he entered the room. I must had the two time lines mixed up.

There probably still koi carp and fish in that pond probably dumped them in there before he left so he didn't have to transport or other fish or birds could dropped fish in the only way you know is to fish it also some of equipment left behind is worth a bit of money especially them vats I know as I keep koi carp and use to breed them
I think the swimming hole is where they bred the fish, same as the room before it but they covered that one up

Poor old ferry house, I've passed this nearly everyday for the last 15 years, it was a beautiful home until around 2012 when it started slipping due to owners neglect. Large story behind it all and the fisheries business, and the boathouse opposite it too. Soon to be pulled down and made into 4 or so large dwellings
Go visit the pink room before its torn down. Its haunted. This video actually captured voices in that room and the bathroom. See my other post for what the voices said.
Carpet around the swimming pool is so people are less likely to slip and crack their heads and mess themselves up by falling. It should be that draining AstroTurf type. Carpet in the rest of the house might be an attempt at controlling a really drafty or hard to heat house.
The underground part is/was a plant room for the swimming pool
