We are on a time crunch to get things ready for the mobile sandblaster. We start with the track frames and work into the "body" panels and sheet metal evaluation. Things get a bit frustrating! Overall, progress continues on the 1939 Cat D4 / RD4 agricultural crawler with a D4400 diesel engine. 4G9986 "Lil Lefty" has never been so much fun and fulfilling. I hope you enjoy the shop talk, banter and commentary.
We are operators pretending to be mechanics!
    Thanks for watching!
    Regards,
    Aaron & Greg "The cleaner"

The old nail in the shoe trick! The big spring is called the main spring and the smaller pilot spring clamps the main spring to the chassis. Together they support the tractor and prevent the front from going over backwards when climbing steep slopes by the main spring retainers on the track frames

We're really lucky to have them all. The 7J from Montana is really the one that saved the project.

I'm really happy with how this episode turned out. It was a frustrating day but it was fun in the end. So I've confirmed dates for the show in Longmont. It's going to be the 23rd Through the 25th of August. It will be at the yesteryear farm show at the Doherty Museum. We will be there with a display. Hopefully 4G if we get it done But we have a backup plan. We really appreciate your support of the channel. As for the end of the video, I can guarantee you there might have been a double shot that day, 😂.

Another plus is that there's lots of grease!

That's true, without seals like the newer models I'm sure that's the only way you can really keep dirt out of it.

I think I dated a Patina once. Anyway, good work.
Nice that you have a mobile sandblasting service.

Good morning guys, yes Gunsmoke great show a few years ago. I watched all what 23 years of the seties. And Festus, what a character. I have watched several complete series, Rockford, on the internet. Now that I have bought 1.8 acres and a d4 and a case backhoe, I am kinda busy now, but busy is good, at least until the money runs out. Great series Aaron and Greg. Reminds me of gunsmke for some reason, something about Festus???hum

Busy is definitely good. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. If I start walking with a limp and squinting when I talk it's only a coincidence, 😂.

Did you see how fast the Cleaner lit and adjusted that torch if I didn’t know any better I would’ve said you sped up the video and it’s been a long time since he’s had torch work but it was just like Billy the Kid except faster might be good to see in slow motion and you could do a voice over and analyze it just like amazing plays in sports 😀🇨🇦
