Just want to let you know, I'm 19 and a massive fan of your music. Your compositions are not lost, even amongst today's youth (:
I’m 76 and still following this music. What a great song. I use to sing Hushabye to my Granddaughter. They’ll never be an era of music as was in the 50’s and 60’s.
One of the more beautiful songs of that Era, and one of my favorites
Great group and great song! ❤❤❤❤ You guys still sound good!
Still so nice and very sweet and beautiful 💖💖
I was visiting Laurie records regarding a song of mine recorded by another artist on their label. They showed me a stack of demos of songs rejected by The Mystics and asked me to write a song for the group's next recording session scheduled for the following week. Still in high school, I wrote "Don't Take the Stars" over the weekend and presented a demo to the company that Monday. The group liked the song and recorded it the very same week. Thanks to heavy play by New York deejays, "Don't Take The Stars" hit the charts and became The Mystics' second hit after "Hushabye".
Still sound brilliant
Just heard this song today on Sirius/XM 50s on 5 which brought me here. Thank you for the Live video.
This was indeed a hot record in NYC. Thanks Alan Freed...Thanks Harry Harrison..
Even here in 2017, Phil Cracolici & The Mystics could still out-sing 75% of the recording artists who are currently on the BILLBOARD HOT 100 chart! Time has been good to The Mystics, and I'm so glad they also still have original members included their ORIGINAL lead singer!
Thanks DOOWOP TRB for this piece of history.
Still got it guy's that's awesome
When music was music. Such great melodies. Love Doo Wop. Words made sense and usually held a romatic theme. Not the crap and gutter mouth of songs(???) of today. The young people don't know what they missed. Great time in America when we the greatest country in the world in every respect. Glad to have grown up in this era. The 1950s and 60s were the greatest.
Mystics, Great harmony.
You wrote this song “over the weekend”?! Pretty dog gone good... one of my favourites. Thank you!
Hahaha Genius
Phil sounds great. Just like the record.
QUE CHULADA DE ROLA
