If the first cutscene is real and not some dream.. when do you think it takes place? Because seems like during the events of Genesis disappearing in crisis core. Plus I don't think full evil sephiroth would care for a phone or anything regarding Genesis

Obviously it would be right before the start of crisis core, during the wutai war

First cutscene is probably during Crisis Core when Genesis defects and Angeal plus Sephiroth are looking for him, unaware about degradation yet
