►We've been working on this project for a while and we are happy to announce that we will be broadcasting this here on our channel this month! Hopefully you guys would like to re-live this 2005 classic Anime OVA with NEW MUSIC, SOUND EFFECTS, and entire ENGLISH CAST!

►a 2005 Japanese anime original video animation (OVA) produced by Madhouse and released by Square Enix. It was directed by Morio Asaka and produced by Masao Maruyama, Jungo Maruta, and Akio Ofuji. Tetsuya Nomura acted as the supervising director. The OVA is an alternate rendition of two flashbacks found within the 1997 video game Final Fantasy VII. Last Order was released in Japan with Advent Pieces: Limited, a special edition release of the film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and as a bonus feature in the North American "Limited Edition Collector's Set" release of Advent Children.
Last Order is associated with the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, a series of prequels and sequels to the original Final Fantasy VII. Although not an official Compilation installment or canon within it, the OVA has nonetheless been included in official guidebooks. The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII includes the games Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, as well as the film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and the collection of short stories On the Way to a Smile. Last Order's soundtrack was released with the music of Before Crisis, and select songs were later remixed for Crisis Core. The OVA was created due to the success of promotional commercials for Before Crisis, with production lasting six months.

i wish this would be a series. it's much too short. if you didnt play the original, you're believing that sephiroth was always evil but that's not true. we need an anime about the whole story

If it was done well I'd watch the crap out of that. It's a shame so many people who are big fans of FFVII haven't gotten to play through Crisis Core. It just adds so much more depth and complexion to all the characters. People that that you end up thinking were just mostly jerks in FFVII (such as Sephiroth and the Turks), you have a better understanding for why they are the way they are and just general appreciation for who they really are under the canvasses of duty after playing through Crisis Core.
Would be nice if people had a way to experience that important part of the FFVII story without needing an aging handheld and a rare game to do so (or ya know, resorting to less legal means). People can watch RUclips playthroughs, but it's not really the same as actually playing the game or as good as a series dedicated to telling the story (able to fill in the blanks left by the gameplay, if you are watching a playthrough instead of doing one) would be.
@@KotCR you're right and i love crisis core much more than the origin FF7 game. it's not olnly the amazing story with sephiroth, zack and cloud. i love the graphic and this beautiful cutscense with everyone. in advent children its like "sephiroth is the pure evil without a good reason, cloud always hated him". yes, they said that he was part of an experiment but much too short and the original story shows it too short, too but in cirsis core, we see how sephiroth was before. a good and loyal friend, someone who was caring about zack and someone who was sad and doubting. and how i said, the movie shows him for 10 minutes and everyone who doesnt know him before, thinks he is a monster, but he isn't.
@@Sephiroth1992 Yeah, well thats sorta the twist anyway isn't it? Throughout FF7 you don't deal with the real Sephiroth. You basically deal with activated clones of him and Jenova's meddling. The original Sephiroth fell into the lifestream of the mako reactor in Nibelheim at the hands of Cloud and Zack, and ended up sealed away in the north crater. You only encounter the real Sephiroth right at the end of the game (limited flashbacks aside). Which means most FF7 players only exposure to Sephiroth is to the fake ones alone.
So in a way, I suppose to those who only played FF7, his incarnations in that are basically just monsters. It's a shame without playing Crisis Core they never really get to know the real Sephiroth.
Advent Children is pretty much the same. A manifestation of the memory of Sephiroth, rather than the man himself. Despite the manifestations' claims otherwise.

that's true but i think, we saw the right sephiroth already in the remake. the last scence was special. sephiroth had many chances to kill cloud. (when cloud hold his head or when he lost his sword) but sephiroth didnt kill him, he didnt even try it. when we met him the first time, he was making jokes about cloud losing his mother but this time he wasnt like that. thats why i and many others believe that the true sephiroth was at the end of the world

Zack is exactly the type of leader AVALANCHE needed. He reminds me of Captain America. And because of that, if there was ever a live action movie about Final Fantasy 7, I think Zack should be played by Chris Evans, the actor for Captain America in the MCU.

The only thing that this Anime got wrong was Sephiroth voluntarily jumping into the Mako with the head of Jenova. In the game, Cloud slowly inched his way to the end of Sephiroth's Masamune, could stand again while lifting Sephiroth up, extracted the Masamune from himself and proceeded to throw both Sephiroth and his weapon 'overboard.' Other then that, great entertainment =)
more specifically, he has never been shown extracting the masamune from himself. he did throw sephiroth off just as you said, though. one'd assume he extracted it afterwards, as a matter of fact. still, that says a lot about cloud's display of sheer strength and willpower. but seph's arrogance... yeah, it made him not let go of the sword, after all

@@motionista i think so - one WOULD assume (the guy i replied to) that it got extracted. but seph didn't really let go of it, nor was cloud shown doing so, he was just thrown away (?)
In my opinion, the anime's version makes more sense than the game. Remember cloud was still an ordinary human at this point and though sephiroth was seriously injured, its logical to think cloud could not overpower him.
And in this anime we see him voluntarily jump in the lifestream which makes more sense. He maybe knew that his injury was very serious and merging with the lifestream will give him unimaginable powers like creating duplicates in ff7.
I see where you're coming from... Cloud wasn't nearly that strong at the time to begin with. Still enough to 'wield' the buster sword for a while, okay, but...eh. What I think they tried to do was to make him psychologically (ironic, given Cloud's character later on) overwhelm Sephiroth, favored by adrenaline and hatred. after all, the poor dude was relatively vulnerable enough as to fall into such insanity. i don't completely justify the shock, his arrogance and eveything else to make him lose his edge... but seeing Sephiroth just voluntarily jump doesn't click to me. Or maybe that's because I've known the game version way earlier than the anime one.

I like how Sephiroth sort of just tosses his self into the Lifestream, like he knows exactly what he is doing. A change from the original game but, a welcomed change.
Well, I also like this change as well because Sephiroth (at the time) knew that if he continued fighting against Cloud (since the guy seemed to never give up), he'd lose. Badly. So taking a bold move and jumping into the "Promised Land" was pretty logical.

Disagree, Cloud kills Sephiroth in that cs in the game, and this is before being injected with any jenova cells and I believe mako infusion, he just straight up yoinked og Sephiroth into the abyss, and that demonstrates that there was something special about Cloud from the beginning. It's only hinted at here, Sephiroth instead gets to choose to die Instead, which I believe is a disservice to both characters. It takes away from Cloud's accomplishment of killing Sephiroth, and it demeans Sephiroth whom didn't choose this in the original. That's part of his villain's journey, pride, hubris, but this just makes it look like Cloud was helping him out, that death was the quickest way to accomplishing his goals and he would have tossed himself in no fight at all given a chance. Nah, man, I have to believe he would have had an easier time of it if Cloud hadn't bodily hurled him to his Doom, it's just that death wasn't much of an impediment for someone with aspirations of godhood.

The dubbing ended up quite excellent. Special points for me were that Mr. Sekhanan's range made it so you couldn't even tell it was the same guy, and Mr. Doyle being as close an approximation of an English voice of Hiroshi "Segata Sanshiro/Kamen RIder #1" Fujioka as can be possible.

Very well done everyone doing their own part was amazing. Also huge encore to Christian for voicing that many characters and making it sound so similar and good like I actually didn't realize you were using the same actor to play those characters
nice job, this is a pretty good fan-dub. Since this is non canon now, no official dub from square, but I'm just glad you did this. I own FF7 Advent Children complete, but it didn't come with this anime, instead a different one: "On the Way to a Smile - Episode: Denzel" Are you guys thinking of doing a dub of that too?

Yup everyone wanted an anime of KH back in the day when the Manga came out but never happened. Just like when this was release with advent children everyone wanted a continuation of the anime after this short movie but we never got it either. A lot of us really wanted a whole anime series of Crisses Core and FF7 but that never happened either but we do hope it's possible now since the remake came out they can make it happen to speed up and inform the new comers. They did it to FF15, FF7 deserves it.
Seph leaping into the core it LEAGUES worse than cloud tossing him into it. The change is silly.
The voice for sephiroth is a 10 out of 10 but im giving clouds voice a 6 because it doesnt sound like cloud. But good work on sephiroth, almost sounds legit.

but i always hated how they took liberties with this story like sephiroth willingly junping into the life stream and sniping at the truck as opposed to the more emotional scene at the foot of midgar imo both those changes left little impact and resonance on the story and should have remained in tact
Thank you! Well the sephiroth scene doesn't seem canon, but the sniper scene was actually in the OG FF7 as well as in Advent Children and Crisis Core. Right after the sniper fire Zack carries Cloud into the rocks and then faces off with an army of Shinra Military.

well... fan dubbed. This movie was originally in Japanese and was never ever dubbed in english... So we decided to do so, replacing all the sound effects and used the Remake soundtrack to give it a more modern feel.

This is why Zack has always been my favorite FF7 character. He is the best.
so interesting to see more of tseng's and the turks perspective during this and how tseng was not only there for everything but knew everything that went on. it makes me wonder further why he was so hostile towards cloud his friends in ffvii. so he did care about zack, and does disagree with many of shinra's decisions.

To me it shows that while Cloud is no SOLDIER yet, there was always something special about him. The glare he gives Sephiroth gives me chills.

Hojo never had a sense of morality, only Gast had, that is why he abounded his own project and didn't continue working for Shinra
Hojo and JENOVA are the true villains indeed
Hojo is the true villain of the FF7 saga. Almost everything awful that transpires, all leads back to him. Not only Zack's, Cloud's and Sephiroth's lifes but also Aerith's, Gast's, Vincent's and Lucrecia's. Even Red XIII's. A man who's scientific curiosity is so great (just wanting to find out what would happen), that it completely consumes any sense of morality.
Hojo is the only villain here really
A FF7 anime, just telling the video game storyline, would be one of the best anime ever made. I really like the art style in this.
I feel like it would be cool to have mpre of an anthology type thing with all of the games season 1 being crisi core the season 2 being the og the season 3 being dirge of cerberus there could also potentionla be room for before crisis in there as well

Season 2 would be the start of OG. Season 3 and 4 would be all the sidequests and minigames. Then season 5 would carry on the story 😅
They really should there are a couple they should make shows from. Just not 15 they milked it way too much
I'm REALLY surprised (and impressed) that the voices of Cloud, Zack, and Sephie were all done by the _same guy_ ! (Christian Sekhanan). They all sounded distinctly different enough that I could not even tell while listening. He really did a wonderful job. Y'all _all_ did a wonderful job!
I remember watching the subbed version of this _years and years_ ago back when it was first released. I wish they would just go ahead and make a full anime of this story. With the popularity of _FF7_ I never understood why they haven't already. There are SO many spin offs of this series...not to mention they keep leasing out the characters to other media/franchises (Smash Brothers, Kingdom Hearts, etc) surely the topic of a possible anime adaption has _at least_ been considered...??

@@Popotecipote The OG FFVII will always exist no matter what so the remake doesn't take away much from the game everybody grew up with. In fact, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people went back and started playing the OG game after finishing Remake.

I didn't really play any named characters in this, but I did play the Shinra captain that appears throughout the OVA, as well as the old man driving the truck with Zack and Cloud at the end.

Zack is more likable than Cloud in a lot of ways. I love his relentless positivity. Cloud has been through a lot, so it’s understandable as to why he is so brooding. It is great to see Cloud grow, as a character, but I just love Zack.
Both are heroes.

Imagine growing up thinking you're one person but your whole life was a complete lie... and one of your best friends betrayed you.
This... brought me to tears. FF7, as a series, is so complex and depressing. Every character has motives and a story. This series is so sad because it finds a way to be relatable and real, while still fantastical and magical. Love the video.

They could, at the very least, make it into a novel. We know next to nothing about the events that took place then, but it would undoubtedly be a very dark story, given what we DO know.

man i wish we' get the whole ff7 timeline like this as an anime from crisis core to advent children. it's sad it's only the Nibleheim incident because this anime looks stunning especially for something from 2005
Anime was better in 2005 and earlier because it was often mostly animated by hand. Anime today is often pretty junky because it all looks and is done do cheaply with computers. Ruins the allure that anime once had.

I wished Crisis core would of been like this story. Running away from the Turks and fighting the soldiers at the same time before arriving at Nibelheim while protecting Cloud.
The only bad thing about this is the way it's written. No real flow between lines, other than that its beautiful

That human didn't like it one bit.
I think the reason Sephiroth followed Cloud so much was because of Cloud's resilience. Cloud never gave up. Even when he was impaled by Masamune, he *still* didn't die. That's badass. And it sort of interested Sephiroth. That's what makes Sephiroth and Cloud's hero vs villain relationship so beyond complex and interesting.
This turned out amazing. Couldn't say a single bad word about it. If I could like it twice I would.
Fantastic job to all the actors, editors, just everyone involved.

I kinda expecting the "Zack vs 100+ soldiers" scene from crisis core but still a great vid.. still makes me sad on what happened to Zack.. and fuck Hojo, they should remake his death in a more cruel and painful way.. they just had to blame it all on Seph..

Damn the first scene of this video was Sephiroth slaughtering everybody in the neighborhood like Itachi.. I Felt That..
The biggest difference is Seph went absolutely insane whereas Itachi was following orders

You guys did a great job omg. All of the voice actors are perfect.
This was very cool, only the music should've remained as it was before in the original Japanese version.
This is just my critique. I'm not a voice actor, but I have taken plenty of theatre classes enough to know my way around, so take this with a grain of salt.
First off, let me say you all have done a masterful job with this. The music tracks used are much more clean and mysterious as well as original. The overal editing of the voice lines is done pretty well and you've done a great job casting.
My only two issues are that the sound effects used are not as great as the original and in an animation, sound plays a big part. Secondly, the inflection of certain voices, such as Tseng's, Tifa's and Sephiroth's voices are a little weak at times, and it sounds like they're reading from a script (which isn't professional to some people, present company included; anyone can read off a script).
That's pretty much it. Great job nevertheless. You've got a like and a sub.
I’ve been watching this one in Japanese for years!! I’m happy to find a English dubbed!! I did feel some voices needed more soul but after finding out that Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack, Reno, and Rude are all played by the same person....that is real talent and very impressive!!! Well done!!!

The only bad thing about Last Order is the Cloud overpowering Sephiroth scene where he just throws him into a wall which is super lame and is an unnecessary change. In every other version Cloud kills Sephiroth by throwing him into the mako under the reactor where he disnegrates and reforms in the northern crater years later.
Yeah I don't know why they changed it here.
this is BC version, where the turk you play as thought Sephiroph jumped into the reactor because no one thinks Cloud (a regular grunt) could kill the legendary Sephiroph...i am not defending this btw, it should have been CC or OG version
