Yeah it seems the offerings for the gas motor Super Dutys are not as numerous :( At least not yet…

I would almost bet the suspension is the same except maybe the gas tank. I'll look under a superduty soon.

That's cool, fighting physics big time! My Acid Dipped 69 el camino back in the 80s - punched bigblock motor, had a blower on it, real B&M race tranny took off blower and went dual quads, ran low 10s all day long, dependable AF too. picked it up used for $2800.00 That's why I don't even play these days....

What was your favorite cassette in the el camino? Or was it still an 8 track? Mine was motley crue.

@@GojirasBreath LOL!!!! Honestly that truck was full sheet metal inside, no air, no anything... It had wheelie bars and it needed them... I had small headphones and a sony walkman - 4 real...hahaha! I got more women with that car, that cammed 454 sounded sick!!! It did have a very nice bench seat custom upholstered, so I kept it armoralled real good so in the turns I could get her to slide over to me! LOL!

What are your shock settings? Id start around 4 compression and 6 rebound. Also, what power are you making? It has more in it if you can get it dialed in better. Is the exhaust 3"?

No doubt. If i get to 2 sec 60ft time it should be mid 13's. I'll report on settings tomorrow but i think rear compression is at 0 to get it to squat. Then higher setting to lift slowly. They gave me suggestion sheet and i used it. Stock 3" single exhaust with longtube 2" headers with racing cats. Dyno guy said i gained 150hp with the procharger so about 590 crank. I got nitto 420v tires now. Best i could find that were LT rated where i can still run 65 psi for towing and hopefully launch better. 2" smaller but 1.5" wider. Just gotta get back to the track. Rain has been shutting it down.

@@GojirasBreath Ive never tuned shocks on a solid front axle setup but you dont really want it to squat. The tighter compression setting will help it plant the tire. If it plants but unloads then you would want to add more rebound. It really helps if you can capture a slo mo video of the rear tires to see what things are doing.
Stock exhaust is 3.5" so if you have 3" you are choking it down and leaving some power on the table. Another trick to get some more power out of it without any physical changes is add some Boostane. Ford has adaptive octane logic and if the octane is there it will add timing up to the limits of where its capped in the tune.
Ive been wanting to get my hands on a 7.3 to make some power with. Very capable engine!

@@03c5z i appreciate the feedback. Exhaust is stock. I thought it was 3". Getting a side video is on my launch is on the works. I think my biggest thing was offroad tires with 65psi in them. That did not help.

@@GojirasBreath I cant remember right off hand but it might be 3" before the muffler and 3.5" after the muffler. Either way a single 3" pipe is going to be insufficient on a 445 cubic inch engine with boost.
Those tires are never going to hook great even if the suspension was dialed in 100% but at minimum the right settings will help it hook better. Viking support is good. If you send them a slow mo video they should be able to recommend some better settings. You definitely want to dial come compression and rebound into them though. Rebound settings are usually around 2 clicks stiffer than conpression to start.
