I really appreciate Evan taking the time to interview the do it yourself guys that share their personal experiences working it out themselves. Thanks Evan High Fives
That's one fine Mustang Chris! Love the color, wheels & CJ style hood! The 4 racing seat belts are awesome! I hope you & Evan can give us an updated video, when you get it tubbed & finished! Thanks Evan for another fine Ford video! By the way, in the mid 70's, a guy had a '68 fastback for sale. Dark green/black interior. 428/4 speed,9"rear. Didn't know the ratio. He took 3 of us for a ride,he spot shifted it & then he'd floor it. Each time it raised the front end,I thought the shocks were worn out. They weren't! I can't remember if it was a 428 or a CJ,it didn't have the scoop. He wanted $1200 for it. Before I could get the bank loan,a father & son looked at it. The dad wrote him a check right then!
Love it, too cold he out a set of twins on it. 1000-ish horsepower on gate springs😂 to say it’s got a lot left is a serious understatement. Nice job sir
Bravo, really nice install. Looks better than factory and it’s hard to even see the turbos. But I love where he put them. Instead of less used LS motors every years. There will be more and cheaper 7.3s every year. And much stronger to begin with and relatively inexpensive to upgrade to full forged for 1,500- 2000 hp reliability.
Awe that poor guy couldn’t BE more camera shy. So many people are on social media these days , one forgets the days of camera shy folks. This guy seems very friendly and has a killer Godzilla swap. At least you got him to talk!! But his quote “i wanted it to look old on the outside but new underneath. “ 🎉🎉Perfect!!
Awesome car l love the fastback mustang l think was the sharpest car ever built Ford power forever baby a real Chevy and dodge killer l love it keep on bringing it great content
It's perfect, all that power, fits between the spring towers, and looks just right. I like this swap so much more than the Coyote, it's the V8 Ford should have began with instead of the complicated and physically huge Modular.
@@riogrande163 Not a fan of any of them. You get all that huge with none of the cubic inches. I am a fan of the 427 SOHC, but those are not exactly common or cheap, and they don't fit in anything except Galaxies and the like without major surgery.
I think this is a really awesome set-up, Newer Twin Turbo Godzilla in a classic Fastback Mustang. I just can't believe all the comments how everyone's Stroked Windsor is faster, or why would he take out a 427 FE, or there Twin Turbo Coyote makes way more power, Un Believable People ! I think he did a Damn good job at putting that engine in there, and it'll only keep getting Quicker and Faster the more he gets to play with it, Beautiful Mustang.
Great video as always! I’m just getting my 70cougar with a new 408 Cleveland ragtop back can’t wait to dial it in 3.89 gear 5sp not a strip car but will be fun!
Great car man.. I get it I love drag racing and dig racing don't get me wrong but I would have that set up for cars and coffee myself.. But hey it's a bad ass car either way..
Damn Evan! You're getting old man!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But it has been quite a long while since Fun Ford Weekend and NMRA competed against each other! That's when Ford was throwing a lot of money in that drag racing! I remember how large the pots were back then! They'd be really attractive right now! Always loved Norwalk! Especially Pre NHRA. It seems like Bader cared for the racers a bit more back then. I always slept in the trailer when I raced there! Loved camping out there! I'm not much of a sweet person, but I damn sure got some of ice cream they made there! Just found your RUclips channel a couple days ago and you've got some great content here!
Lots of new tech I don't know anything about but likely really expensive. Still a 60s Mustang going fast with a FORD motor. How can you not like that? I was surprised - no power brakes!
Was wondering if I should put a 7.3 diesel in my 1973 mustang ….. I know if this 7.3 Godzilla fits in that car and it’s a little bigger than the 7.3 diesel that I could definitely try and run a 7.3 diesel in mine. - looking for any advice !
Okay so was it an Fe 427 or was it a poked and stroked 351 Windsor that ended up making it a 427, or you probably dont even know the difference do you. What did you really gain by putting that new motor in there it's those twin turbos that are making that car rip down the strip.
❤❤😂😢😮😮😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 raven Evan that’s one bad ass Mustang. I like that 68 baby that’s awesome and tell me whips some ass in it and take names for Chevy and Dodge.
No joke..but something didn’t seem right..he balked when asked if it was a Windsor or FE…a Ford guy should know what that was, not say it came out of a 63 galaxie
@badass6.0powerstroke10 i lived in dover plains for a while off 22. I was looking at some of those little import Honda acty trucks at auto technic in new milford.
Turbos set up wrong the induction is behind the radiator and is sucking in hot air!! Should have a fresh air induction to perform without pushing heat into intake..
Big, pushrod V-8 in a Mustang.
Match made in heaven.
Amen Brother

Thanks for the comment! We have much more coming.
I agree.
67-68 fastbacks are so beautiful
Gotta agree!
10X nicer looking than the round looking new ones. I hate what Ford has done to the Mustang.
Chris did a fine job on his car 💪💪💪
Saw this car in Chicopee Thursday night. Incredible car. Must see in person
Love that Chris did so much of the work himself 😎
This is an excellent build by Chris. With the hood open it looks factory. Great Job!
Totally. Super clean whizbang! 🎉
The perfect combination of modern pushrod tech in a fitting old school Stang. Bravo sir!!!
Every inch of that car looks killer!
Very well engineered car. Well done and @153 mph making some steam. Show and go. Thanks for showing this one Evan
What an awesome and unique build, love it. Thanks Evan for always finding the cool.
My pleasure!
The TT Godzilla is pretty cool but the hybrid front suspension design is impressive. That's a first for me to see under an older Mustang.
AJE has had this out for years its nothing new

Sweet ride!......especially leaving the 289 callout emblems on the side fender.
Really clean install. It's awesome what kind of opportunities a good pushrod V8 provides. More cubes on the inside, less cubes on the outside.
Very interesting placement of the turbos.
Love it. Great build. Great video. I hope to see the Godzilla in many builds.
Great build beautiful Mustang 🐎!!!
Awesome build, great fab. work getting the engine and drive train to work, love old school look with
modern drive train, awesome job Chris!
Nice build and props for the interview/video.
Awesome Stang! Great build too, Chris knocked it out of the park on this. Thanks Evan for sharing this with us.

Love how you can just tell it’s a big engine by the sound❤
What a great looking '68. Loved the color, stock interior and everything. Smooth and fast runs...

That suspension setup nasty that thing take off effortlessly
Very well executed...

What a sweet ride.
That is a very cool ride!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! GREAT VIDEO EVAN. AND A GREAT BUILD!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING. I LEARNED SO MUCH.
I am actually impressed that this engine fit between the shock towers.
The strut towers were cut back so that it could fit.
Sweet ride!

It's perfect, all that power, fits between the spring towers, and looks just right. I like this swap so much more than the Coyote, it's the V8 Ford should have began with instead of the complicated and physically huge Modular.
the modular program is 30 years old. OHC as a whole is over 100 years old. It's not rocket science.
also the coyote is 2 inches narrower than a 4.6

Hey Evan- love watching your videos. Do a story on Sean Hyland. He was the king of the mods and then just closed up shop
Thats sweet. Great job of stuffing it all in the engine bay.

Nice car 👍 . Didn't you say , it had a 427 out of a 63 Galaxy in it ? Where did that engine go ?
Awesome car
That is beautiful and gorgeous and if I even tried 1/4 throttle I'd fill my Depends with deposits of fresh Guano
Nice work!
And it looks fantastic
What lifters did he use? Sounds great, I think I can hear lifter bars? 🍻
Car is bad ass ! I got to meet you in NH at nationals . I was the one talking to you about my big block fairmont
Nice retro/modern Zilla build😮
Good job Mate💯👍🏻

I'd love to have the pin out to run LS coils on mine
Pushrods and turbos. Go go Godzilla
I'm just curious I have a 2004 Excursion will a 7.3 Godzilla work in that! Thanks
I have seen 2 on Instagram swapped already
Definitely gunna need an anti-roll bar
Awesome
I want to put the 7.3L into my new edge 03 GT 😊
That's my bestfriends dad
Clean street car...
Nice video! Are you interested in vehicle lighting stuff sponsorship?
holy crap

What transmission. What's car dyno at wheel
Said Turbo 400.
WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF HOT RODDING!!!!
He will probably run the same with the 427 with NO²
Maybe, for a little while until the Nitrous destroys the FE.
What happened to the audio
If that belt ever lets go, that turbo will suck up the smaller bits and do a world of damage.
This conversion was probably $100k easy or more.

Sorry i prefer a fully built stroked cammed windsor. And a Stroked Windsor with twins can make 1k wheel easy.

Someone needs to learn how to interview if you ask me... Practice makes perfect...
You took a dual 4 barrel 427 and traded it for a modern engine. So Sad to me
It wasn't original, so it doesn't matter.
That old shit would explod behind 2 turbos at 1000hp. Old is cool but it’s still old. Technology has a come a long way

7.3 running 10s on turbos . LMFAO . That car shoulda ran faster then that
it went 87mph my guy. He lifts at the 1/8 . LMFAO
Did you even watch the video?
Shame so much Chevy in it might as well put ls in it
