  • A 1,900 passenger cruise ship has pulled off the coast of the town of Frederiksted on the island of St. Croix to act as a “floating hotel” to house the continued flow of National Guard members and FEMA employees who are providing support in the Virgin Islands.
“We are expecting to house 1,000 National Guard members, “ said Romeo Crisosvomo, safety officer for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines. “The progress on the island of St. Croix will determine how long the ship will stay. We could be here until mid-December.”
