My wife and I are going on the Disney Fantasy in two weeks for our anniversary and we are going on the same itinerary! We booked the Secret Sands excursion on a whim when our reservation period opened, and we are so glad that we did after watching this video. We are getting more and more excited watching this series
If you go on another cruise to St. Thomas, Magens Bay is one of the prettiest beaches in the Virgin Islands. My family and I went for a week and we kept coming back to that spot after beach hopping around St. Thomas and St. John. There is also a place where you walk on the sea floor with a helmet type thing on your head in the open water on St. Thomas and it's incredible
Also now that Jackson can swim you should try teaching him to snorkel. My kids saw a sea turtle at 6! We had to practice at home for a bit but they love it now.

The BVI has the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. If you have the chance to visit Antigua on a cruise or just for a vacation I highly highly highly recommend it. We have been twice and it has 365 beaches all beautiful. The BVI is next level compared to the Bahamas or the keys.

That beach was packed when we got to it on our cruise. We just hopped a taxi and got there for a couple dollars per person. It was beautiful, but so many people!! We also did the sky ride, which was walking distance from the boat, so awesome!! Have so much fun!! 😀

St. Thomas is one of my very very favorite ports of call, and belonging to the US, it is duty free! Water is soooo blue and warm! Streets are so full of fantastic shops and restaurants! Love watching your cruise vlogs and staycations! Looking for more!

We went on our first DCL cruise when my dgtr was 3. She’s 20 now and we’re not done!!❤DCL!!❤️ She still has friends from the kids clubs today!! So many special memories!! Love watching your content! 🤣posting after midnight 😳😂

We did this same cruise in 2019 and when in St Thomas we did an excursion to Trunk Bay on St John’s. If you want some amazing snorkeling then do this excursion if you do this cruise again. Sooo many fish. The beach and area is beautiful.
That’s Lindquist beach on St Thomas. I’ve never heard of it being called Secret Sands beach. If you liked St Thomas…you’ll absolutely love St John. We started going to St Thomas and now go to St John each year for vacation.
I’ve been to St Thomas a lot and even on a land vacay and when he said he was going to Secret Sands Beach I was scratching my head. Then I saw the beach and said oh they went to Smith Bay/Lindquist.
@@lorid3112 Smith Bay is on the tickets when you enter. I remembered Lindquist but couldn’t think of the other name when I posted the comment. My husband saw the video post first and was like do you remember a “Secret Sands”. I was like yeah that’s not St Thomas lol. It must be a name given by the cruise line. I’m sad they didn’t get to Magen’s but this looked like a nice day for them. Anytime I’ve been to Smith Bay/Lindquist the water was rougher. Only have done land vacations there.

*JEN AND TIM* you need to look into a vacation to the Virgin Islands National Park. I will patiently await the Tracker Family Glamping Trip. You can have a vacation filled with the pool like beaches of St. John.

Hurricane Irma did a lot of damage to St. Thomas and St. John the beaches and shoreline vegetation and natural shade nooks are still reviving. It changed the beach scape forever.

I would love to know if Oliver came on these excursions. We have a 1 year old and are going on a Disney cruise soon and would like to know more about what it’s like doing these excursions with babies.

I just saw the excursion had an age limit of 3. As did the day before. He stayed behind with Rosie.
There is no age limit on this excursion. We did it in February and there was a baby in our group.

Love these videos! We got animators palate drawing on our 6 night out of Galveston also. The towel folding was fun but they move fast and our 9 year got pretty frustrated but ultimately had a good time.

I’ve been to St. Thomas twice. It’s popular because it’s known for some of the best Duty-Free shopping 😎👍
The beach is actually called Linquist or Smith Bay Park. Local people don't call it secret sands (never heard that), and there is also a beach called Secret Harbor, which is nice, but a totally different beach. Not sure if only Disney Cruises may call it that but it is a different name so make sure you double check if trying to head to that beach.

We had a similar experience in St. Thomas with a driver years ago. It was kinda a scary ride and I got really nauseous because they were driving too fast and going around curves on the mountain at quite the pace 😬😅
Not the overlook hotel 🏨 lol 😂 but the water is so blue and pretty 😍
We did that same Eastern Caribbean cruise last June and loved it because we also really loved the beaches at Tortola and St Thomas. I’d love to go back so dreamy. We are doing the Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy in May but worried those stops just won’t compare.
But I wondered where you got your float tube you were using at St Thomas? Did you bring your own or did you rent there? I was thinking it might be nice to bring our own just for the beaches if we’re allowed to bring them aboard the ship.

Cruise looks like a lot of fun. I’ve experienced motion sickness on smaller boats and scared to go on a cruise because of it.
I also have motion sickness on a few Disney rides.
Any recommendations to prevent motion sickness on the cruise?
I have used the patch behind the ear for Guardians and I was fine. For lesser rides, I’ve done Dramamine.
After reading the side effects for the patch, I’m a little reluctant to use now, so looking for suggestion that have worked for others on a cruise. Was Dramamine enough?
I would love to know what camera you guys use for the time lapse, and how you secure it. We're going on the Wish in May and I'd like to try that.
