  • I was finally able to change out the handlebars. I am a big fan of t-bars and have been pushing this back for the last few weeks. Definitely worth the work put in. Also, tucking the wires was much harder than expected!

I friend of mine changed the handle bar for the 14” one, but he didn’t touch the cables.

What year is this? Ive got a 95, wanting to put on some bars around 8", hoping to replace as little as I can. Hard to find much online the 90s-03 bikes and bar swaps.

So at 2:35 , if i just wanted to adjust the handle bar down(closer), could i just loosen those 4 bolts? Or do i need to loosen more? Or is it not adjustable?

You can loosen those bolts and twist your bar back, but you're also going to want to readjust your controls and levers, otherwise they'll be at a goofy angle. Also keep in mine if you pull the bars back too far they'll hit the tank when you turn so check that before get on the road.
