- It's been another week of controversy for the BBC show.
It started with Director General Tim Davie apologising to contestants who feel they were abused behind the scenes.
Then, actress Amanda Abbington gave her first TV interview about the scandal.
She claimed to have suffered 'emotional trauma' working with pro partner Giovanni Pernice.
Giovanni has left Strictly, but has denied her allegations and any threatening or abusive behaviour. And his team say today there's 'bombshell evidence' that will clear his name. And reports today suggest he could sue Amanda.

Though Strictly is unlikely to be axed, it's feel-good reputation has been ruined.
I'll be sad if Strictly gets cancelled. What about Love Island not getting cancelled after 3 people committed suicide?
Why are you asking the opinion of a “pro” dancer who had an affair with a married man? He was equally to blame BUT this woman was hired by the BBC to TEACH SOMEONE TO DANCE and be a PROFESSIONAL and NOT to abuse that power and steal another woman’s man. Shameful.

Respectfully, you can't steal someone. It's not great but people don't go where they're not willing to, in terms of affairs etc.

Giovanni was gentle and kind when he was teaching Rose and they are still friends ,I think Giovanni is not a bully and Amanda Abington just didn’t like her experience on the show.

Why are they blocking/hiding the 50 hr tapes? The courts are well equipped to judge the material on a neutral basis & give the verdict! So why the delay for whoever is innocent/guilty?
Because they have something to hide. Pretty obvious really.
Do they not get paid if they walk out? Is that the reason she is so upset? To insinuate things and not saying what it is is not fair on anyone.
She should just have admitted to herself that she wasn’t capable doing it and not blame it on the professional.

Let the show be shown if there is evidence on either side let it be shown and the investigation done if there needs to changes then so be it but celebrities need to understand it’s hard graft and professionals all want to show their partners in a good light and how did Zara manage to dance with a broken bone wouldn’t she have been in tremendous pain and would the doctor approve
No it shouldn't and Amanda is being overly dramatic about it and over doing it

Why are other channels giving Amanda so much publicity before results of investigations are published?
Right from the outset I thought Amanda had an ulterior motive she never seemed to want to be there and I for one was happy when she left, even for that she made such a me, me, me thing about it. Has everyone else noticed that it’s all the B listed celebs who are coming out of the woodwork, could it be for publicity and the talentless Greig Wallace in tears, well that’s what they call karma after the way he treats contestants on Masterchef.
@@User-ot8zu I hope the investigations will include a survey that asks ALL former contestants about their experiences. Strictly used to brighten my week but the media seem out to spoil everything that has some joy in it. To journalists and youtube "influencers" any bad bit of news is good news for them because they can profit out of making it into a huge scandal.
No the BBC should deal with complaints in private like it did with Jimmy Saville.

She is an actress she has caused all this she was calling other celebs telling them that the more they come forward the best it will look for her/them when she went on strictly from the first week one the strictly fans were writing every weeķ in the comments they were telling the fans to switch off when she danced switched back on when she finished, l believe thats why she left also her partner and her were having problems she left and threw the blame on Giovanni when she finished because she was coming out with rude stuff about Gays and Trans also that she was a trouble maker jeremy why did you say that there were good pros not like giovanni or gratziano that was implying Giovanni is guilty but others are not making out Giovanni was not you cant class gramtziano with Giovanni he was fired Giovanni is suspended until enquiery are finished you should be very careful what you say or you could be taken to court for implying to the nation that giovanni is guilty... he said he will clear his name he has got the best lawyers to clear this mess up the men pros will be very wary to teach dancing on or off strictly because of these woman who dont want to work hard she sat there like she was going to cry sorry l dont believe this woman best cancell strictly which l love but its the pros who are getting a bad wrap who has trained since they were very young these celebs half of them we even dont know took thousands of pounds to go on strictly and now l believe are looking for compensation you implied that Giovanni was guilty that was terrible we dont know what he is guilty of making the celebs work to hard it gets bigger and bigger all of this now they are calling it .... abuse.

no sure as the dancers can have their careers ruined by this they have to do lifts jumps and sometimes intimate dance just think these celebs have spoiled it now how are the dancers to train when everything now can be picked up on as wrong to some if they raise their voice or have to think before they say anything in case they upset the celebs that dont know how to dance think the ones that complained were a bit taken aback but are ruining the dancers involved the man did not have to do the jump she did not have to carry on as long and the other woman did not even complain at the beginning it was others then she decided to complain
Don't be a fool. Abused ppl have a right to be supported, although too many ppl like you would like to put a stop to that.
