Love this. Of course just like everyone, I've seen so many interviews with Daniella over the years but this one is a joy to watch. I'm 42, have very much grown up with her on my screens and I've had issues with cocaine addiction myself, so I understand some of the struggles she has faced. She deserves a lot of credit for the fact she speaks so openly about her reality. She comes across as very well-spoken - as someone with basically the same accent, I know the criticism about being told 'you sound unintelligent' despite being perfectly intelligent and well-educated! Thanks Daniella x

Lovely interesting interview. Daniella is one of lifes survivors, a real inspiration and prime example of getting knocked down but picking herself up time and time again. Lifes not easy and she inspires me to keep going whilst life knocks me down.

I saw her interview on James English, which really opened my eyes to what happened to her. I have so much respect for Danielle, she's a survivor.

Very rare I watch a whole interview on RUclips, but this was brilliant! Daniella comes across lovely and genuine and Lewis is a fantastic interviewer.

Incredible woman. Obviously she suffered terrible trauma as a kid, but despite that still had a very successful acting career. It sounds like she has learned from her mistakes and is moving on..........I guess that applies to lots of us!!

But that does not mean she doesn't look well here given the circumstances and she is a strong, resilient person who inspires me. Perhaps you should spend some time reflecting on yourself rather than trying to bring other people down.

Yet it was her choice to use drugs unfortunately just don't go down that road ,fed up with people having sympathy with people who do drugs .even if they stopped they milking it still .

Danniella's facts are off about EastEnders.
She first joined in 1990, before quitting in 1993.
The next years Barbara Windsor joined the cast... She incorrectly states that she didn't work with Barbara for 11 years. She would've first worked with Barbara during her 1995-1996 stint.
Lewis knows his stuff he’s charming and why isn’t he on national TV
Why does he need national TV? He's making it on his own talent and is free to pursue his own creative path with freedom & integrity!

What did she do with Bryan Adams, Paul MccCartney and The Who?
Her time lines for her time in Eastenders was way off lol she literally was only in the show 5 - 6 years in total when you add all her appearances as Sam together. She also seems to think she joined in 86 lol
She does seem to live off of her role in Eastenders. I think she needs to move on. Eartenders has moved on.
Another great interview Lewis. Daniella is one tough bird, Although I do struggle with her timeframe recollections, for example she claims Barbara Windsor joined the show 11 years after her, Daniella joined in 1990 and Babs in 1993? And that she was 15 when she started work on EastEnders, yet she was 16 when she was sent to audition for the part. She also claims she left Enders in 1993 on a 3 year “golden handshake deal with itv” and that Ross Kemp went before her on a £4.5m deal. Ross was with Eastenders from 1989-1999, leaving that year to take up an offer with ITV. Daniella, left 6 years before he did. She also returned to the BBC in 1995 before being written out less than a year later and claims June Brown was the one to demand she review help, June had actually quit in 1993 and was absent until 1997, the passing out incident happening during her absence, so not sure how she would seek help from “the governor”. Her memory of the passing out incident has also changed greatly since her 2005 documentary “Daniella: EastEnders Drugs & My New Nose” and since her 2006 autobiography. I therefore feel some of what she says is to be taken with a dashing of pepper and a huge pinch of salt.
Traumatic experiences and drug use can both affect the memory. Her timeline might be a bit off, but maybe you can forgive this in light of what she's been through in her life.
She does contradit herself from previous interviews though
Barbara joined in 1994 Sam joined in 1989/90 so it was the first 5years not the first 11 years
and she wanted to live in spain few yrs ago she felt spanish......
She couldn't remember her clean time birthday without thinking about it.."end of September, October time " oh dear..we all know that date is stamped in your brain and then admitted she's been drinking alcohol. If she is in NA you aren't classed as clean unless you have complete abstinence from everything. Especially alcohol. So unfortunately it's pretty obvious she isn't working the NA program.
Snorting Cocaine does this, lot of Cocaine
That's an extreme thing to do just to be able to pull of that "I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue" trick. 😅

Snorted WAY too much cocaine that it rotted her nose away
She was a cocaine user and became addicted. She used it so much that it damaged her nasal passages causing them to collapse. I am not a medical professional so I am using laymen’s terms and someone who knows more about it will probably be able to tell you a far more detailed and accurate answer.
