I downloaded June's Journey over a month ago thanks to your recommendation! I thought I was just going to be searching for items, but decorating my island has easily become my main focus lol, good times
Hey Rachel, lovely set and beautiful dress! As a seasoned cardboard set creator, couple of tips: - double layer your cardboard in 2 directions to overcome the bending and add rigidity. - get some brown paper tape - super cheap, paintable over and recyclable so you don’t have to remove all the tape to throw out. - soggy tissue paper or loo roll & pva mush is excellent for adding recyclable texture. Xx
The fact that you weren't a theater kid is absolutely wild to me. You have such theater kid energy (I say this with the highest regard and as a theater kid)

Right? She was in the hardware store parking lot and I was like, Rachel if you don't buy a pole I'm going to buy one for you. And then she did. Such a Big Girl Now!
Hey Rachel my wife and I got to meet you at Megacon. I gotta say I was very nervous and I'm sorry if we were akward but you were super awesome and thank nick for letting me take a picture with him he was a good sport. My wife lives in the floor troll shirt she got btw. Thank you for you videos they are always amazing and we look forward to the next ones.
My husband from behind me while I avidly watch Rachel paint paper white - "Why didn't she just get white paper?" Me - "You shut yer pie hole, this woman is a genius!"
Confession time- I love putting your videos in the background as I craft. Makes me feel like I have a crafting buddy especially when a finish date looms over head.
Rachel's efforts to do things as sustainably as possible with this project after the feedback about Temu on the last video feels like a rare example of a creator listening to constructive criticism and showing effort to do better through their actions. Not surprising considering the integrity I'm used to seeing on this channel, but I still love to see it 💖
The problem is recycling is a lie the government spread to justify mass corporations producing so much waste. Almost nothing put into recycling bins actually gets recycled. But Rachel did great by reusing cardboard, paint, paper, and fabric she already had!

The blankets didn’t look like real snow. But I think it’s better: it looks like a theater set. And it’s clearly snow. So it definitely worked! Also the dress is gorgeous
As a former theater kid, I will claim you as one of us! But one thing I learned in painting sets, they do have the flats on the ground when you paint them, but to save your back and the scene from getting walked on, you tape your paint brushes to a yard stick and paint from there. It does take some practice to get used to it, but it will make a huge difference in ease and comfort.
"it's alright" but she painted a floor scene completely off the cuff and super well?? She's so talented and is such a a huge inspiration to me, I wanna be like her when I grow up 😭🖤

Love the Narnia vibes! I always love when Narnia gets some appreciation. Those movies have no business looking as good as they do and so many gorgeous costumes!
Anyone else's soul leave their body when seeing Rachel cut the cardboard on those wood floors? Girl, even another layer of cardboard is not enough, you need a cutting mat!
Girl you have no idea what your content does for us! I have had severe depression and anxiety and I get lost in my own head and who I “should” be way too often and your videos always bring me to a happy place!!
Oh Rachel you absolutely kill me! Especially your outtakes. The amount of laughs you’ve given me over the years is commendable. Your such an incredible creative and joyous human being. Thank you.
The look on your face when the cardboard tree first stood upright was precious. I was impressed at the actual simplicity with which that happened. I would so over complicate it that I wouldn’t even try. Good for you. 😊 That dress is gorgeous and I love that you can wear it with or without the overlay and it’s just beautiful and the color is perfect on you

I had to comment this cause I nearly died. At 19:12 when you leave the barn to go unbox the dress, the way your head was tilted down and you could just see your adorable bangs sticking out through th hood, I could have sworn you turned into one of those cartoon-esque middle aged men with the big bushy brows and mustache for our childhood animations! I don't think I've ever gone back so fast, when I realized what happen I started laughing so hard I nearly fell out of bed!
The last show I worked sets on just last month was literally built from mostly cardboard. Cardboard trees, cardboard logs, cardboard leaves. Some wooden under-structure, but the form and surface was ALL cardboard. It can be a very versatile material! Your backdrop was beautifully painted- of course it was; we know your mural skills! And the trees were beautiful. A magical setting for your dress-modeling; everything came together beautifully!
Ok girl! I’ve been a fan since I had breast cancer in 2018 (shout-out to my fellow warriors!) and, I’m also a momma of a transgender young adult. He’s the light of my life. As is my cis gendered daughter! Let’s normalize being PROUD of our kids. Thank you for donating to the Trevor Project. Do I love you more? Yes but let’s not make it weird
As someone who works at the paint counter at my local Lowes - Agreeable Gray and Aesthetic White are colors that I make quite frequently. My opinion on both are neutral, they both have their place, and picking colors for your house is entirely subjective and depends greatly on the type of lighting each room gets.
Rachel: "not bad" The art: a masterpiece Literally how? The background is so gorgeous, I watched it take shape and I was still astonished when the reveal came!
Birch trees are my FAVORITE. Their branches sway and whoosh like a willow, they have the white bark and black knots like big old aspens, but are smol enuf for almost any yard, and they have the most fun fidgety seeds. The tree equivalent of a dandelion. So fun.
As a former theatre kid (turned theater professional) I can confirm that you would fit in VERY WELL! ❤❤❤ Edit: it was a pleasure to meet you at Megacon!
How gorgeous! I came here from Freida and you and the dress and the cross-creative inspiration is truly off the scale. So glad to see it on you and in motion!
Considering the theater productions I was involved in during junior high, and high school, I'd say you are a very competent set manufacturer and dresser, and your wardrobe department is excellent. The props are better than some that I came up with. Two paperboard toilet paper tubes, some glue, paint, and string became a pair of binoculars for "Ransom of Red Chief." Keep rocking with the creativity. 🥰😎💃
Meeting you at Megacon was the highlight of my year thus far! Idk how my year can get any better from there! Lol. You brighten my life with your creativity and humor. Hope I get to meet you again someday!! ❤❤
You might think about donating this to your local theatre or school drama dept. It would be super fun to play What Show Would You Do? on this, or devise a new piece specifically for this set, or simply learn from its construction. Just an idea. :-)
I just wanted to say that I HATE hearing you say that you feel like you don't deserve the kindness you got at your booth - you said it yourself, your content and you as a person help others feel better! We just want to show you some gratitude in return. This is just our small way of showing that we appreciate what you do so much and that you enrich our lives. ACCEPT OUR LOVE!!!
Rachel I have seen you on TV like twice and even ran into a picture of you on Etsy randomly while looking at elf costume items, your pretty out there girl. We love you all over the world ❤❤
I have followed Frieda's work for such a long time--since at least the deep blue velvet gown with the open back and the constellations of pearls down the sleeves (which I added to a personal, non-commercial roleplaying journal for Pathfinder as a wee inspiration for what my character dressed like). This shattered ice gown is so otherworldly and you are a splendiferous model. It honestly made my week to see your beautiful self in one of her perfect creations (and that wig!). None of you can do wrong in my eyes, so. ;) Collaborate more! Collaborate forever! ;) (Truly, though thank you and it was so much fun to see. You're a queen in every way.)
Making it from zero is stupendous..what determination..building the layers to create this set became a dream come true..the costume was beautiful..the fit perfect..and your hair beyond amazing..thankyou ....definitely pushing the boundaries with this one.. ❄️
I got to meet you at Megacon, and you were a delight! You were such a joy to meet and be around. I can’t get over how beautiful you are in person! Please come back! I love all of your fun diys. They inspire me. I was a theatre kid. As an adult, I’m a full on theatre nerd. If you loved theatre as a kid, you were a theatre kid.
Now I know why Frieda’s video popped up in my recommended lists 😹😹😹the set came out great at least you can roll up the background for now and keep it to use again, same with the trees, stage props never go amiss 😊 That dress is stunning , you look great in it, here’s hoping you get to wear it to a function soon.🤗🤗🤗
My goddess, just the background painted was incredible, and with the added trees it's just so chef's kiss! the dress, the hair, the vibe in the reveal actually gave me chills !
I've been busy so didn't get to see this new video till now Rachel. Just another fantastical work. Gave me Jadis the white witch if she had red hair not black hair in the books she's in. And if she was a friend of Aslan or could have be Queen Lucy whom is INFP like yourself! I hope when you to another meet and greet I'll be able to meet you. Can't believe been now four years of seeing all your creativity shine. Thank you for sharing it with us all. We all appreciate you so much. 💙😊 - Quinn
This dress reminds me of Jonna Jinton's videos of the sounds of ice cracking beneath the surface- highly recommend. Beautiful gown, beautiful set and beautiful person ❤
You are amazing! What a wonderful set ❤ build. I am so glad you had so much fun at your convention, that's great! You deserve it all, Rachel ❤❤ Such a beautiful dress too

Two paperboard toilet paper tubes, some glue, paint, and string became a pair of binoculars for "Ransom of Red Chief."
Keep rocking with the creativity. 🥰😎💃
Coming off a HECTIC Starbucks shift…Rachel is balm to my SOUL!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
She always is, isn't she? hope you found some time for yourself and relax
You are an absolute ray of sunshine Rachel, and you 100% deserve all the flowers💐 Sending you lots of love from Canada
I might have actually found something I can watch while working on the treadmill😂so you’re helping me workout and get healthier so thank you Rachel!
Frieda is a genius. Been following her for a bit. Fantastic collab.
Meeting you at Megacon was the highlight of my year thus far! Idk how my year can get any better from there! Lol. You brighten my life with your creativity and humor. Hope I get to meet you again someday!! ❤❤
Love your videos!!! They are funny and helpful and enjoyable to listen to while I'm crafting.
Good on you for donating to the Trevor Project!!!!
We love you Rachel! ❤️ You are such a fun, creative person - you SHOULD TOTALLY feel supported!
Also... that dress is STUNNING!!! on you Rachel. 😮😍 Gorgeous!! And wow, it looked lovely in your set!
Rachel I have seen you on TV like twice and even ran into a picture of you on Etsy randomly while looking at elf costume items, your pretty out there girl.
We love you all over the world ❤❤
Yaaay, friday and a new Rachel vid! ❤
Great work on the set design and the reveal. The dress is stunning on you as well as on its own.
Rachel, I yelled 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" about 42 times during this video. It was truly a gift.
Eeeeeeee 🤗🤗🤗, absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad you had such a great turn out at Mega Con ☺️
Now I know why Frieda’s video popped up in my recommended lists 😹😹😹the set came out great at least you can roll up the background for now and keep it to use again, same with the trees, stage props never go amiss 😊
That dress is stunning , you look great in it, here’s hoping you get to wear it to a function soon.🤗🤗🤗
Rachel you always do such amazing crafting things! I am in awe of your talent!
NGL, misread the title and thought Rachel made a dress set, like clothes, out of cardboard and didn't think that was weird.
YES!!!!!!
That was so fun. The reveal was giving silent film glam and I love it.
You are amazing! What a wonderful set ❤ build. I am so glad you had so much fun at your convention, that's great! You deserve it all, Rachel ❤❤
Such a beautiful dress too
I would LOVE a barn cleaning video! Who knows what you can find in there 😱
That reveal was just WOW! What a dress- and so beautifully framed by your set.
