Some of these guns are so fun and creative. It’s one of the main reasons I love this game so much. As soon as I get bored with one weapon/build/class, there’s so many other satisfying ways to play. It’s endlessly fun to me.
Tech 22 was the first gun I truly fell in love with for its near instant reload able to be used in between dodges without building for it, it’s mega fast fire rate, and insane crit potential w/ mobility of course. It’s also been great for refunded when I wanna focus on primary weapons. It’s what I use 90% of the time to this day, and I’m sad it took me so long to replace the MP60-R with its much slower reload and lower fire rate.
Agree with 90% of this but the reload speed is only alright. In comparison to other weapon its prolly in the better half but especially fighting on apoc, if you dont hit weak spots you need to reload before the enemy is dead (unless you build for the gun, ofcourse)
@@MeatObelisk yeah. I was only using the Western with the Widowmaker so I could also take advantage of faster bolt action shots. Definitely not worth with a primary that has a large magazine.
You can forgo the rings by running extender on western classic for 2 extra shots and 15% reload speed. Top heavy is also not a bad mutator for it either. It takes advantage of the high base damage stat, and since your reloading a lot anyway, you’ll cycle to the top of your “magazine” frequently enough to make use of the damage bonus. Other than that, WC is just not worth it except for roleplaying. Edit: I forgot that I’ve used sleeper on it before as well. This is actually my favorite because it is basically a quick-draw play style. You unload all six shots for a bunch of crit damage onto a weakspot, then go back your primary weapon.
My favorites so far: Enigma- clears ads and mobs in N'Erud easily. Starshot- mini nuke great on bosses and elites. Nebula- great in Yaesha and Lossom for wiping out mobs especially with acid corrosion ring to stack damage over time. Rupture cannon and Cube gun are decent options as well.
I like how pretty much watching this blind, as I do not research builds or meta, basically every S-tier Handgun on your list are the ones I swap between, usually Starshot, Double Barrel, and Nebula. Special mention to the MP-60 because of it's versatility and huge ammo reserves and overall accuracy which makes it a great utility sidearm in situations where you're struggling with ammo and popping orbs/minions.
Amazing gun really. The ability to regen its own mod when using detonation trigger and stone of malevolence is really cool. Gives it a very distinct form of fire even without the mod.
@@ICASTFIREBALL979 Supply Ship event on N'erud. You have to activate all 5 of the supply containers on the overworld map before doing the Dark Conduit side area. Then when you call in the supplies, it will go grab them all and the 5th one is star shot.
Not a popular opinion, but Enigma can also perform greatly while being used in tanky builds. Throw on a Spirit Healer mutator and you will be able to efficiently heal yourself and your party members using Enigma’s mod. Rupture cannon carried me through my first like 20-30 hours it took out weak ads with one hit and didn’t have many good weapons with an open mod slot, definitely a good gun if you can get the dungeon it comes from to spawn early
I'm here to defend Anguish, while it's not particularly great at any single thing, it's a real jack of all trades, it's a shot with ricocheting slugs, it's a charge bow with explosion, it's a machine gun with exploding bullets, it does everything, put feedback on it and the machine gun (mod) recharges in like 2 charge shots, reload isn't to long and the explosions are great to crowd control. Getting a perfect charge is super easy, getting a great explosion out of it and pro-tip, using the mod automatically reloads anguish. It's a great gun that deserves a higher placement IMO. I'm using it on my 50% HP build and the drain isn't what kills me. It's a pain to get though, but AT LEAST it isn't hot garbage like the poly gun.
Great list. I just beat the Night Weaver in Apocalypse with Enigma. And she had elemental resist! I deleted my long weapon to avoid confusion and just kept pelting her with the Enigma weapon mod. I didn’t even have Arcon to generate mod power. A very satisfying victory.
@@colinfew6570 lol I find it on an unhealthy amount of my builds. I also just refuse to use weapons/items that I know are going to get the nerf hammer. Enigma is good not only for chain mechanic, shock itself is really good to say the least. Shock gives moderate stagger which will stop mobs and prevent combo hits. Mod is okay imo I tried mod focus build it did 500ish per tick.
The mod is really good with that ring that heals you on mod use. You have 6 charges, so you can pretty much always heal. And that ring is available from the start on hardcore (if you unlocked it), which made my hardcore run very easy :D
Heck once I got that I was only running it. You got some much out of it. Although it did require a decent amount of mod regen to get back which in the sequel isn't the case at all really.
I do like Anguish a lot after having swapped out the Enigma for it without further tweaking my build to accomodate it. The charged shot is POWERFUL, able to 1 or 2-tap a lot of low-tier enemies, with the shotgun mode coming in clutch if something gets too close to use the charged shots. Agree the biggest issue is the potential to kill yourself with explosions and that it fits better on a build with health regen/lifesteal baked in (both make the drain when charging something you can ignore), but there is merits to a gun like it that can answer any situation you might encounter in a single package
2:41 you can kind of get rid of the slight pause by waiting for your clip to be full then swap to your other gun shoot that untill you need to reload and then swap back to your handgun and repeat. Its a decent way to deal with the awkward reload.
Enigma works wonders on The Hatchery boss. Pop the mod and shoot a couple things at the ground and the rest on the floaters so while they circle the arena they constantly take damage. Lots of fun to see happen.
I feel like a lot of the unremovable mod got basically nerfed into the ground when they removed mods charging mod use, and they never really changed the mods themselves to compensate for that. There are so many mods that take FOREVER to charge and then do basically nothing. That includes exchanagble boss mods.
Meridian is probably the most noticeable one since 5 charges actually hurts the mod regen. Your using the mod longer preventing damage from regening your mod back. Enigma has a lot of charges but the mod deals damage overtime to make up for it. So in the end those 5 charges end up being one or two that you are waiting on to get back constantly. Definitely odd.
@@SheenShots I was trying to use the heat seeking missiles mod Helix earlier and just one charge takes forever to refill, then it has a large slow projectile that is very likely to miss, and then more projectiles that will most likely hit a wall before an enemy. Just why.
The Tech 22 does work. Survived some tough encounters with that as my sidearm but ran out of ammo a few to many times early on when I wasnt paying enough attention
They'll probably make some tweeks and balances to some of these guns, Anguish needs a bleed effect, the Service Pistol needs a bit of dmg boost, and the Western Classic needs a ricochet effect.
Nebula mod can and will aggressively going for weakspot, and it's also a good mobbing tool because it always runs around player, it's so good that weapon itself isn't that important
All I run now is the bolt driver, corrupted rune, sawed off and starshot but I do run nebula on my melee builds. Enigma is great with the time wave mod, instant slow with one mod charge stick

Enigma is best used with the Bandit mutator, as it literally can't miss if you are in range, extending the 25 mag to 35 and beyond, being able to drop dozens of fodder enemies without having to reload.
The mutator's name is lithely, and is an actual word. It means moving gracefully. Edit: forgot to add, it drops from Barghest the vile in Losomn's Harvester's reach dungeon.
I like to believe in some future DLC we will have Ford Running around with a Corrupted Enigma as his weapon as he left traces of the one we own behind. Can't wait for next DLC and I really hope we get another Rogue Like mode at the end. That stuff was my main end game for so many hours in Remi 1 for the ALT color scheme armors Edit: #BUFF ANGUISH for the pain it takes and the fact it TAKES HP FROM YOU PER SHOT, it should be doing some crazyy dmg or at least weird effect but at the moment 😅
I have played way too much Remnant and I would have to strongly disagree with the position of the Service Pistol. It's accuracy combined with its fast and controllable rate of fire melts bosses if you can reliably target weak points. The open mod slot is great and its reload is surprisingly quick. The damage is decent when you get used to it too. It really shines when paired with the Gunslinger class.
Do you perhaps have a full build guide video for that star shot weapon? I'm new to the game and didn't realize understand what was going on😂 also I don't have the dlc is that going to be a problem?
I love the cube gun its one of my favs but hard to get the use for since any misses might send a cube or more way out for a long return, such a shame i realy wish there was some work arounds or more baked into to like a return on reload or something.
I think its pretty versatile. Good for aoe dmg, dmg overtime and u basically always have the weapon art if u use a ring that gives u weapon art energy when ur doing elemental dmg. Used it on my whole apo run and never felt that it was horrible or even mid
Not too bad of a list but its visible on the lowest tier that you dont utilize guns on how they are used best. The 6 shot revolver is as useful as the Silverback, but in a different way for example
I used talisman of the sun for more burning damage. Paired with ritualist prime perk and the flamethrower from engineer and now your fire procs start to tick down the enemy health very noticeably. Add in sparkfire and star shot and now you are the sun melting everything and blasting everything in your path. Run talisman of the sun with ring of omens, gambler be the burden, the aheane ring for more status damage, and stone of malevolence. This combo keeps you blasting and burning things so long as you don’t burn out yourself 😂
You can replace the stone of malevolence with devoured loop or sapphire dream stone for more cooldown on abilities, although you might have to drop star shot and go something else that can apply fire still
I was actually debating on whether I should get the Corrupted Meridian since I actually love GL's, but after this vid, you convinced me, I mean I CAN get the normal variant again ..but after I basically tortured myself to stay awake while I waited for the sewer to fill up, idk if I wanna go thru that again ETA: Ok so as soon as I saw this vid I fired up R2 and bought the gun, but apparently Dwell can also sell you the normal variants as well LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO
Dwell revert to normal version he doesn't sell you it. Also once you start the sewer water event you're free to explore or even turn off the game and it'll fill up
Enigma with timeweave mutator is actually amazing. As you mentioned it does have a tonne of mod charges which means with a ritualist build (and the timekeeper's jewel) you can SLOW the FUCK out of the TRASH MOBS in Losomn
Can you have both the regular and corrupted version of a gun unlocked simultaneously, or do you have to keep swapping between one or the other at the npc in ward 13?
You can have both. You would just have to go get the normal one after you exchange it. For example, if you have merciless and turn it into the other one, then you go fight ravager again and you can have both.
You're wrong, Anguish has one very important feature: It has an innate aura of command/authority that works on most players, especially the new-ish types who has perhaps seen a video like this one. In a coop game that actively tries to block communications between players, having the guys you dropped in to help/impress about 40% more likely to stop at junctions to see where you are going is at the very least sanity saving. But seriously though, did you know that Anguish's mod only takes 400 charge to fill? It fills up in maybe one good shot or a couple of melee hits, giving it functionally unlimited ammo from the mod. And since the small tiny explosions actually count as explosions, using it with blast trigger outputs some non-tragic damage, which if you consider that you can effectively forget about taking any ammo at all, warrants it a place at least above regular Meridian, surely. Otherwise, other than the small fact that the difference between S and F tier is very small and usually comes down to the cadence you're currently working with on your loadout, my experience tends to agree with everything stated in this tier list.
The main points just off of my head for now are: -Tech 22 got buffed -Rupture cannon got buffed Other than that the list is exactly the same but both these guns are now S tier top of the list items. Which tech already was. Sidarms didn't really get much with the 2nd DLC for some reason.
If you want some LOLs, do a shock/fire rate trinket build with the MP60R with Overload Mod😂 thing just shits out bullets at an insane rate and deletes whatever you're pointing at(and whatever else is close to it)
Corrupted rune with extender when needed and the free 10% damage buff is just the go to for every DPS build that has a free pick for second slot. Just easy free real estate….
I like to use it with bulletweaver myself. Extender seems like a good idea too, but try bulletweaver for a bit if you haven't. I found you can use the weapon to great effect if you want to shoot it rather than your main gun.
The enigma has no use to me outside certain bosses mechanics where you need to shoot orbs fast. Other than that nothing comes close to the enigma/energized neck coil combo. Maybe starshot and detonation trigger combo but its special is not as strong nor as easy to use as the enigma’s.
Both are really cool ideas. Expanding build crafting options. Neither are the best in the game but I like the repair tool on engineer or support builds. And redeemer honestly has a lot of really unique options.
isn't anguish bugged currently where it's not scaling like it's supposed to? plus you don't have to charge anguish, you can just shoot it immediately and it's just a 5 round shotgun at that point.
Its pretty darn handy if you get used to how it fires. Mainly the mod can work great against bosses and groups if you need a last resort kind of thing.
@@SheenShots it’s a good complement to my shotgun that I started with that comes with the challenger class. I’ve gotten merciless recently and want to upgrade it next. I’m newly level 10 and have the dog class leveling up now.
Imo the ammo problems gets fixed when I use gunslinger (I haven’t tried all weapons yet so I might be very wrong) so I’m pretty sure you don’t need the void idol. Cause you already get the 50% ammo reserves from gunslinger, from my understanding gunslinger gets +50% from trait so you have 150% totals ammo with void idol 150% x 1.5 = 225% total ammo (is that correct or does remnant have spaghetti code?)
Yes gunslinger does fix the ammo problem on regular builds. This however is not the case when you are running your secondary as the main weapon. Handguns just don't get as much ammo and thus if you are trying to use only that as your main weapon they run out too quickly in boss fights. Hence the amulet to make it easier to use them all.
10:08 I will this set up, I've got the shiny hog lure and the ingenuity mutator. But I'm intrigued about the corrupted cube gun so will level it up to max before I corrupt it 😃
I absolutely love a enigma. I just spent the last 50 hours using it. But then I just switched to a new gun the nebula which I think is amazing however that range is absolutely horrifying only 8 m. Does anyone have any advice to fix this?
Enigma - Had it on release and really been my main handgun (we all know why) 😂 Starshot - Once I played with someone who shot me with that shit. I said I had to get it. Fun gun, made a build around it but very dangerous. Its my play toy Nebula - I CANT LET IT GO GAHDAMMIT! I JUST WONT!! Edit: I cried out for the OG swam 😫 this is the closest I'll get to it
Lithely. Increases reload speed with kills between reloads. Stacks up to 20%. Reloading while at max stacks (5) and you get 20% ranged damage bonus for 15 sec.
Its just outclassed heavily. Nebula is just Hellfire if it had a better damage type, way better mod, and worked with every single build possible. The close quarters problem is still not something you can shrug away (hence why all ranged melees are the better options) but the mod is its biggest downside. There are at least 8 other explosive mods that top in any day which also doesn't help.
Here's a fun game. Count how many times I got HEARTY on the bosses in this video. The answer is... a lot lol.

I like to believe in some future DLC we will have Ford Running around with a Corrupted Enigma as his weapon as he left traces of the one we own behind. Can't wait for next DLC and I really hope we get another Rogue Like mode at the end. That stuff was my main end game for so many hours in Remi 1 for the ALT color scheme armors
Edit: #BUFF ANGUISH for the pain it takes and the fact it TAKES HP FROM YOU PER SHOT, it should be doing some crazyy dmg or at least weird effect but at the moment 😅
DLC has limitless potential at this point. Definitely very exciting.
you and chaos turned me on to the tech 22 in your stream the other day, haven’t used the mp60 since 😅.
tech 22 and cubic gun are my go to options. Love infinite ammo.
Nice vídeo man, thanks
I have played way too much Remnant and I would have to strongly disagree with the position of the Service Pistol. It's accuracy combined with its fast and controllable rate of fire melts bosses if you can reliably target weak points. The open mod slot is great and its reload is surprisingly quick. The damage is decent when you get used to it too. It really shines when paired with the Gunslinger class.
Do you perhaps have a full build guide video for that star shot weapon? I'm new to the game and didn't realize understand what was going on😂 also I don't have the dlc is that going to be a problem?
Why would you want to place the lightning rods from enigma all over a boss as opposed to grouped together on a weakspot?
I love the cube gun its one of my favs but hard to get the use for since any misses might send a cube or more way out for a long return, such a shame i realy wish there was some work arounds or more baked into to like a return on reload or something.
Do you think you'll ever do a video on specific Outward quests we shouldn't miss, or general faction guides?
20:07 - On the Enigma mutator, what mutator did you mention? I can't quite make it out and am rather new to the game. Thanks!
He said lithely. I had to look it up.
been watching your guides. keep posting bro thank you
The enigma is good at times but horrible at others
I think its pretty versatile. Good for aoe dmg, dmg overtime and u basically always have the weapon art if u use a ring that gives u weapon art energy when ur doing elemental dmg. Used it on my whole apo run and never felt that it was horrible or even mid
Yeah if you don't have a good long range primary then it's really detrimental.
I prefer to have the 22 or the Sniper handgun.
I can’t stop using it lmao, it’s wayyyy too viable for me to apply overload
Max out the AOE range trait to increase its range.
@@SnowX206how do you get the aoe range trait? I got the Aoe size trait but not the range trait
Would the cube gun be a good choice for corrupting or no?
You can replace the stone of malevolence with devoured loop or sapphire dream stone for more cooldown on abilities, although you might have to drop star shot and go something else that can apply fire still
Really helpfull guides 👍
I was actually debating on whether I should get the Corrupted Meridian since I actually love GL's, but after this vid, you convinced me, I mean I CAN get the normal variant again ..but after I basically tortured myself to stay awake while I waited for the sewer to fill up, idk if I wanna go thru that again
ETA: Ok so as soon as I saw this vid I fired up R2 and bought the gun, but apparently Dwell can also sell you the normal variants as well
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO
Dwell revert to normal version he doesn't sell you it. Also once you start the sewer water event you're free to explore or even turn off the game and it'll fill up
Enigma with timeweave mutator is actually amazing. As you mentioned it does have a tonne of mod charges which means with a ritualist build (and the timekeeper's jewel) you can SLOW the FUCK out of the TRASH MOBS in Losomn
I think imma cube head. Up close it puts in work and the mod is cracked at range
Melee tier list now lul
Can you have both the regular and corrupted version of a gun unlocked simultaneously, or do you have to keep swapping between one or the other at the npc in ward 13?
You can have both. You would just have to go get the normal one after you exchange it. For example, if you have merciless and turn it into the other one, then you go fight ravager again and you can have both.
@@guardianwolf6667 Thanks for the info! :)
I use Enigma’s mod like a rifle-style alternate file. So I pop it on stationary distant enemies without expending primary ammo.
I kinda disagree on the hellfire assessment. The grenade hits like a truck and is great to kick off a fight. It absolutely shreds regular enemies too.
Man we need a quick recap on this list after forgotten kingdom)
The main points just off of my head for now are:
-Tech 22 got buffed
-Rupture cannon got buffed
Other than that the list is exactly the same but both these guns are now S tier top of the list items. Which tech already was. Sidarms didn't really get much with the 2nd DLC for some reason.
@@SheenShots appreciate it 🤜🤛
If you want some LOLs, do a shock/fire rate trinket build with the MP60R with Overload Mod😂 thing just shits out bullets at an insane rate and deletes whatever you're pointing at(and whatever else is close to it)
Try it with the bolt driver. Throw on overload, and supercharger or sequenced shot as the mutator. It is really fun lol
@@SheenShots I'll check it out! Haven't used it too much so far so should be fun experimenting with it lol
I like running bandit with the double barrel because gambling and getting 8 shots in one mag is funny
The enigma has no use to me outside certain bosses mechanics where you need to shoot orbs fast.
Other than that nothing comes close to the enigma/energized neck coil combo.
Maybe starshot and detonation trigger combo but its special is not as strong nor as easy to use as the enigma’s.
the cheese pistol takes some beating. You may know it as Enigma.
Nice, i just finished the long gun video before lol
Seeing you still responding to the comments, what's your take on the repair tool and redeemer?
Both are really cool ideas. Expanding build crafting options. Neither are the best in the game but I like the repair tool on engineer or support builds. And redeemer honestly has a lot of really unique options.
can you do a mods teirlist?
Oh is it me you haven't featured corrupted cube gun? No worries if not 😊
Rupture Cannon at C tier is crazy
isn't anguish bugged currently where it's not scaling like it's supposed to? plus you don't have to charge anguish, you can just shoot it immediately and it's just a 5 round shotgun at that point.
I’ve found the sorrow early on. Kinda hard to not use it. Range is a beast on it
Its pretty darn handy if you get used to how it fires.
Omg why didn't I try shiny hog lure😢
I love the cube gun. I jus find it so fun
missed corrupted cube gun, where would you of ranked that?
10:08 I will this set up, I've got the shiny hog lure and the ingenuity mutator. But I'm intrigued about the corrupted cube gun so will level it up to max before I corrupt it 😃
Wish they kept the hellfire gun the same as it was in the 1st game. Was my fav weapon, don’t care for it now.
Everything you just said, is more accurate than you can even imagine lol. The gun is pretty mid now and it was awesome in the first one.
I absolutely love a enigma. I just spent the last 50 hours using it. But then I just switched to a new gun the nebula which I think is amazing however that range is absolutely horrifying only 8 m. Does anyone have any advice to fix this?
Enigma - Had it on release and really been my main handgun (we all know why) 😂
Starshot - Once I played with someone who shot me with that shit. I said I had to get it. Fun gun, made a build around it but very dangerous. Its my play toy
Nebula - I CANT LET IT GO GAHDAMMIT! I JUST WONT!!
Edit: I cried out for the OG swam 😫 this is the closest I'll get to it
OG swarm will never be topped. Change my mind lol
What about the Corrupted Sorrow?
Has anyone ever told you, you sound remarkably like @YammyNoob on youtube
Enigma is always going to be the best secondary no doubt about that
Bad side about it it doesn’t register the damage sometimes
Song of Eafir for silverback model 500? what?
I don't have the mod but I don't get it why...
The look. When placed on that weapon it becomes a hand cannon from destiny.
What mutator did you put on the egnigma?
Lithely. Increases reload speed with kills between reloads. Stacks up to 20%. Reloading while at max stacks (5) and you get 20% ranged damage bonus for 15 sec.
@@NewMexiCard thank you so much
Is it bad that I wanna make a strong western classic build
D tier for Hellfire is crazy
its like saying all melee builds are D tier because they only attack in close combat lol
Its just outclassed heavily. Nebula is just Hellfire if it had a better damage type, way better mod, and worked with every single build possible. The close quarters problem is still not something you can shrug away (hence why all ranged melees are the better options) but the mod is its biggest downside. There are at least 8 other explosive mods that top in any day which also doesn't help.
what mutator on enigma?
Did you ever figure it out? I think he says Lithely
@@ingemi0219 yeah it was thanks
Is there a list with mutator mod combo
babe wake up new sheenshots
Song at 6:20?
English is not my native language so I didn't get clearly - what is the recommended mutator for enigma?
Lithely on all ranged builds works very very well.
