Fixed this issue. You should click on model's face or hair then click MultiEdit Enter. It will go well.
Hey Fleishman, I followed your video until I reached the point, where you brush over the model in Blender 2.67.
When I do that, it gets really laggy and once I brush over the eyes, the whole model turns to some grayish color. I feel like I might have done something wrong while selecting the meshes.
My .3ds file contains:
MESH_mouth, mesh_id_face, mesh_id_face.000, mesh_id_face.001, mesh_id_hair, mesh_id_hair.000, mesh_id_hair.001 and mouth.001
Any idea, what's wrong?
When you export the .3ds - only have the 3 meshes you need visable - face_0 face_2 & hair_0
If you have others in the .3ds in 2.67 - then delete them so there is just the 3 you need - then join them.
I actually now use Blender 2.79 to do the texture painting too, but it's slightly different steps. Check out my Tutorial thread on evoweb forums to see more info.

hey man.when i click on scroll button on mouse background image disappears like 10:45.what should i do?
Press 1 on keypad to return to front view. The photo only shows when looking from perfect front view. Can also use bottom bar pop up view menu to change

Facescreens are screenshots of all the konami made real faces.
You need to edit your Blender config so you have the same view and setup. I will add a link in video description to download my config.
To orientate the model - press 1 on numberpad to face forward

How do i match colors? I mean my player when he is on the field turns around then it's darker skin tone.

Hi, Fleishman thanks for your tutorial first! I use blender 2.79 for 3d and when I change to texture paint for UVMap, the model becomes white and I cannot get brush from left-corner tool. Is there any way for blender 2.79 rather than 2.67? thanks

When I press "Multiedit exit", the list of layers (appeared in the right panel) are so wrong! :(
Apparently it doesn't recognize the face and hair, and instead it shows many "New geometry layers"!
I appreciate it if you could suggest a help.

This is often fixable. When this happens to me there are normally some layers that have lost their name and need renaming, then 1 of the new geometries is empty (has zero vertices) - this one can be deleted. Rename all the others back to their original names, move them back to the right parent mesh and the face should work normally.
@@fleishman4598 Thank you sir, I messed up a lot. I could go around a little bit by doing my edits in 2.91 version, where I can edit multiple meshes all at once, like what multiedit does in 2.79b.

Sorry, bit late probably, but go and watch one of my more recent facemaking tutorial videos/realtime AIO etc where you will see me using 2.79b to texture paint. In this tutorial I was still using 2.67 to do the texture painting

after you press "G" you then need to scroll the mouse wheel up a lot until you see the editing circle come into view

I'm using Blender 2.79 in this video. If getting this error I'd suggest check your installation - reinstall everything again

Hi Fleishman, could you do me a favor? I found some pes18 face converted from pes17 face by Mictlan but i wonder how he can do that? Can i overwrite pes17's texture to pes18' texture? I use that method for pes9 to pes13 and sometime it worked. Thanks for your dedication to the community.
After you entered multiedit what keys did you press to make the model transparent?
press Z or use the pull up menu on the bottom and select wireframe

Press Z to go to Wireframe mode. You can use the pull up menu on the bottom next to where it says "Edit Mode"

Yes anyone can do it. It just requires some patience to begin with as you learn blender and the process and don't expect brilliant faces to start with. I knew nothing more than some basics of Photoshop when I started.

Eye colour is only editable in game in "Edit Mode" - remove the face folder, then edit eye colour in game, then add face folder back
