Just in case it helps someone, here. Be careful not to move cheek.T, cheek.glue, lid.T, and lid.glue by themselves (one at a time), you won't be able to generate the rig (there's probably others but these ones were the most annoying for me). Some bones should only be moved together using the circle selection (C) on their shared balls, or it won't work. Sorry for all these technical and completely accurate terms.
There's is no such thing as rigify buttons/generate rig for me to press 0:30 ... There's only a rigify option where I can press re-generate rig, but the button is Grey and I can't press it..

make sure bones are on the surface and also before generating the rig press ctrl+A and select "all transforms" then generate and the rest, it should be fine

@@braveclem i mean not fully inside and not fully outside, for the mouth make sure the teeth bone in the right position also the rig is most likely have these kinda issues and it's normal you have to fix it with weight paints, if you don't know how to work with it theres tons of videos out there explaining. it's a whole diffrent subject so i couldn't explain it in this quick tutorial.

I've got this error while generating the Rig. I updated the face Rig & Scaled it. RIGIFY ERROR: Bone 'spine.004': Cannot connect to non-chain parent rig. Incorrect armature for type 'chain_rigs' Edit : It seems the solution was to delete 'spine.004'. This doesn't see satisfying as I'd like to animate a whole Bust not just the Head. Any idea why 'spine.004' is problematic?
@@Nina-qd6vf Just checked , go to pose mode and select the bone you're having issues with and then while in pose mode go to the bone properties on the right and at the bottom you'll see "rigify type" there should be a connect chain checkbox , if you have a break on spine.004 it cannot generate a chain since it's separated so unchecking this might work.

Would be a fantastic a video to show how to change the image of each control(a fast way instead doing one by one), because when they are crowded it is almost impossible to notice what control correspond to each bone
If each control is named, you could hide the other controls when you want to move a particular part. This can make it less cluttered and less confusing than when all the controls are turned on at the same time.
quick yes, easy no... one of my main issues withb Blender is the amount of steps you need to remember for some tasks. Following a quick tutorial like this helps a lot but memorizing all those steps? well, I guess there is no other way than repeating the same steps over and over and trying to understand what they and why they do it

Make sure the eye mesh's origin is in the center of the eye sphere. When the eye rotates, it should stay within the head.
