Can I also use contact cleaner?
How am I meant to press x if it doesn't work
If the controller is the problem either fix it or get a new one
@@UncleRuckus7600 But the lights turn on
@littlepogchamp8702 maybe a button is broken or you got water on it.
If you go to settings and go to controllers and sensors, and then click change button mapping
He pressed X TO disconnect his joy cons from his switch to teach us
2 years later and it still worked lol, my red controller has NOT worked for months and i went on the disconnect controllers page and i didnt do anything or press disconnect and it worked, thanks bro 😭😭
if i remove my joycon, or even the procontroller... they no longer work with the OLED. If I connect joycon or pro controller with a cable, everything works again...
Yup same thing happened to me,but this vid helps ,did it help yours too?
@@Sona420_ No, I returned my Switch to the retailer. got my money back. this Switch was faulty. Even the dealer was not able to connect the controllers to the Switch wirelessly. Unfortunately, this problem is not an isolated case. the OLED Switch has more errors than nintendo wants to admit... wifi problems... connection problems to the controller...etc etc
My newly bought OLED switch had the issue too. The manufacturer asked me to send in the joy-con back for repair. But they didn’t guarantee to send me a white controller like the original one I had. They said it could be any color. Made tons of calls but no use.
From what I've seen it's a console issue not a joycon issue loose pin on the right side rail mines doing the same thing I usually restart my switch oled and it works I find it does it if I use headphones or use my 8bitdo pro 2 I.e controller disconnected
First fix: 1:02
Second fix: 3:39
Third fir: 4:08
My joycons are connected but when I go to change to a different controller it says right joycon isn't in i replaced it twice
IT WORKED OMG TY!!!!! I had a problem for like 6 months in which my joy cons just didn't want to connect. I LOVE YOU
Bless up homie, your tips & tricks worked for me. ✌️
Thank you very much for your tips and advice! It really helped me out. 😀
I have a problem were I don’t get the slide animation on the screen is that an OLED switch problem with reading or is it a controller problem
After much frustration finding a switch OLED and now having to deal with my right joy con disconnecting randomly and delayed button inputs I have completely lost faith in Nintendo. I'm beyond pissed off, that they released a new version of a console that has had this issue in the past and have done absolutely nothing to fix this. I'm glad I bought a year warranty, because I'm definitely going to contact Nintendo. I've tried the 2 fixes, nothing has worked from keeping the right joy con from disconnecting while it's connected into the handheld grip. I didn't try the 3rd because it's a new F****ING console I shouldn't NEED to use compressed air, it should just work out of the box 🙄They recommend not being more than 4 ft away which I'm less than 3 feet from my console dock. They also recommend turning off other wireless devices which is BS because I shouldn't need to do that if all my other devices work just fine without issues. It's just an excuse for them not to take the blame. Pretty sketchy if you ask me.
What happened? I just got my OLED and not even a month has gone by and had to send it in to Nintendo warranty as it wouldn’t display anything on the tv and now i just got it back and right joycon isn’t connecting. So I’m having same issue. Did you find a way to get it fixed or did you end up just geting a new joy con. I really don’t want to have to send it my switch to Nintendo warranty again!
@@maxcruz5936 Annoying isn't it? I can't understand how they can get away with this kind of crap. Releasing any kind of console in this condition is not ready to be released! I didn't want to send my console in so I ended up buying a pro controller. I'll end up getting another joy con at some point, or wait until Nintendo gets a class action law suit. LOL
@@lazarusdeagneaux1817 yea I totally understand about not wanting to send it to get fixed as you’ll be without your console or even if your sending in just the joycon it’s a hassle doing it all. They totally need better quality control as they’re new products and already don’t work! I’m hoping if they do a next model (pro) switch or gen 2 it’ll be better and not have issues right out of the box. We shouldn’t have to be sending in new products because they’re sending out defective products
@@maxcruz5936 yes exactly! I would be more inclined to wait for a new console to be released then have them release a shotty product as a cash grab. I had a original switch bef9re this and I loved it, but had to sell it because of some tough times in my life, but I was able to afford a new one again and really liked the OLED screen and new kickstand, but yeah man I was really disappointed in Nintendo 😑
@@maxcruz5936 had the same issue mines was only 2 days old called Nintendo they wanted me to send it back YEA RIGHT so FORTUNATELY for me Target had another one so I was able to simply switch mines out! Ps Nintendo told me I had a defective dock🙄
None of these worked why do none of the videos solutions work. This is so stupid
Thank you!!!!! First method did the trick! Thank you!!!!
Probably not similar but both joycons seem to be undetectable when detached (it also happened with my pro controller).
Could it be that the whole bluetooth antenna stopped working? Anyone else has had a similar issue?
Thanks buddy, method No1 worked a treat 👍
Thank you 😊
Thank you man
I updated my joycons and restarted my switch oled so far so good.
Me who has joy-con connecting problems and connection error problems : *cries loudly*
Joycons update?
@@iyeetsecurity922 yeah, the option were you update all the controllers
Just got this issue and I just got my switch OLED back from Nintendo from a warranty repair an the right joycon stoped working. I reset my switch but wanted to see what else I can do if this happens again
Did it ever fix?
I disconnected the controllers and turned my switch off and on again (I didn’t know I could) and miraculously my right joycon works again with my ringfit. Thank you 😊
Tankhsssss new flowwer!
Can’t fix it so mad won’t show other joy con on handled. 😞
My joy con isn't detected by the console even when attached. What do i do?
This is my issue
I just started, and I didn't realise that the joy con that won't connect, was out of charge. And now I can't connect it again.
Thanks dude!
Thanks the first method worked for me
You’re a genius thx
I had to replace my right slider since the cable broke. After, both controllers still works attached/wireless but the right controller is not displayed in console controller. Any idea what I should do?
I faced the same problem
@@thealiaabdullah7348 did you figure out a solution yet? I'm still looking for a solution sigh...
No I haven't figure out how to solve it. I have tried the tricks from RUclips but still facing the same issue. Planning to send to the shop that I bought the switch from for the warranty tomorrow.
Thank you. Solution one worked for me.
When it happens is it the Nintendo or the Joy con That doesnt work
Thank youuuuuuuuuu!!!!!! It worked!!!!!
Your a life savor
Mine can’t even go pass the startup screen. It just shows the image of the console with an animation to put both joy cons onto the control. The right one is not being synced/recognized.
Thanks man u saved me i thought i breaked/destroyed it thanks man😁👍
Your god man really thank you
Thank you❤❤❤
I resettled my switch and it worked.
OH MY GOSH! Thank you !!!!!
First step worked for me. Thanks!
Bro the first one says press x but my right control er isnt connect
same
I had this problem then i just bought new joy cons but and the joy con worked in handheld mode but after 2 months it had the same issue again can somenone please help me
ive had the switch for not even 24 hours and the left joycon isnt connecting in handheld mode and nothing is working....
The black part that lets you slide it one not the slider but the black part on the joy con came out how can I fix it
Thanks. This helped me out today.
The controllers needing to be commended to the switch to be able to play handheld mode is dumb 😭 They work just fine it’s just the switch itself 😢 I have to play handheld with the joy cons almost connected but just not enough for the switch to detect them
Man u saver my life
Thx
I dont know what happend but when im in handheld and the thing whre you put joyvons are movin left and right can someone help me
How because my left controller is completely dead
my right one i cant disconnect them
Is there a way to fix a right controller that won’t turn on
what about connecting noled to oled?
Thanks for your help. Don't know if your suggestions helped but with enough struggle I was able to get my daughters Joy-con working. Non functional straight out of the box . What a piece of overpriced crap. How do we get wrangled into buying this garbage to begin with? The things we do for our kids.
Thank you so much!!
My right rail will charge my switch controller but it will not register it for handheld. None of these helped me, I ended up buying a new rail and I’m just gonna change it.
couldnt of fixed right on #1 cuz you held down X button after disconnect.X wouldnt of worked
Youre just using 20 other channels fixes
The joycon still works when its not on the actaul switch so you can still hold x
I love you men thanksssss
I already thought my switch was danaged. Once when I still played minecraft on my switch I lost in bedwars or smthy and literally broke of my joy cons lol
My right joy stick doesn't even turn on when i press the black button so i can't press disconnect
