I'm usually very much against family channels and showing their kids on camera and exposing them online, but this was made in such a nice way, not exploiting the kid and actually teaching him to do the steps he can do and encouraging him all the time!

This just had me in tears of laughter. Dada Brian is so worried about little hands and egg shells and mess. Lochlan is all "Let go, I want to do it myself!" And Papa John is just loving showing off his family. So fun.

these cookies were A M A Z I N G! i halved the recipe and used robin hood gluten free flour, added 1/4 cup chocolate chips, and measured 1 tbsp for each cookie. i ended up with 36 cookies and it's the first time EVER that GF cookies do not taste gluten free! my family just loved them. definitely a keeper - thanks for the superb recipe. also enjoyed your family members helping out - so adorable

I'm a relatively late comer to this channel, and it's my favorite. I've made more recipes from this site than I did for any others on the air.. Everyone knows the reasons why it's so popular so I don't have to get into that. This episode----which I don't know how I missed---along with the family making Christmas cookies are two that I watch when I need a pick me up. It's impossible to watch this and not smile. John and Brian, you are making a beautiful loving family, one that should be a model to all families on how to co-parent and how to foster and enrich the partnership of a successful marriage.

I'd love to see more videos with your whole family!! Reminds me of cooking and baking with my Mom. We had so much fun! Not sure if I should admit this or not, but... Our favorite and most used cookbook was one from the local Grange. There were pages with coffee and tea stains, batter splatters that had been wipes up, butter/shortening fingerprints and, yes, every single time we opened it, flour or sugar would drift out...no matter how much we wiped it down/shook it out before putting it away. Mom's tweaks were written on some pages and recipes from friends and family on the back pages. I miss that cookbook and miss Mom even more. Thanks for this great recipe! I'll be making hubby some this weekend.

I made these today, I made 24 out of a batch, and they are delicious , they will be a new favourite.
Thank you. I made them into ice cream sandwiches. Once frozen the cookies held up well. I made small sandwhiches so they didn't have time to melt or the sandwhiches thaw. I used vanilla ice cream which was sprinkled with mini chocolate chips.

I so Enjoy watching your Videos!! I've learned so much watching you and I've practically viewed everyone of your Videos!! I really Enjoyed watching you and Brian interact with The 2 boy's , patiently allowing them to help measure even if things become a little messy !! This is exactly how I learned standing on a stool helping my Mom !! Of Coarse we got to eat the extra dough off the beaters , spatula and scrapping out the bowl afterwards !! My Mom put the cookies on the cookie sheet and baked them herself until I got around 8 when she started to let me do some of those things myself !! Because of my Mom's patience with all 4 of us girls and my Brother we all ended up becoming excellent Cooks and Baker's alike!! I spent the same time with my own Children and Grandchildren and my Son's are Excellent Cooks now !! They're not so much INTO the Baking Scene now so they head home to Mom with their favorite requests which I so Enjoy making for them and my Grandson's!! I'm in the process of teaching my Grandson's the Art of Cooking and Baking, Hopefully they'll Enjoy it also as the continue into their adult year's!! YES PLEASE!! I'd VERY much ENJOY seeing you with your boy's and Brian Cooking on more of your Videos !! It's absolutely a PRECIOUS and BEAUTIFUL THING!! Also I'm most Definitely Jealous of your Farm , it's Absolutely Gorgeous and I'm sure it's VERY AMAZING to be able to live there !!!
