I use dried cranberries instead of raisins, almonds instead of walnuts, and added 1/4 tsp of almond extract for fragrance and a little more almond flavor! Oh! My! Gosh! They are perfect every time! First off, thank you so much for this! Made this recipe yesterday with some changes. I doubled the recipe, and added about a cup or so of homemade hard crack toffee along with the oats and raisins. I made larger cookies, using a standard ice cream scoop and baked them for 18 minutes at 375. It's one of the most delicious, decadent things I've ever tasted, and I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to bake more.

I’ve made this recipe more than once. I don’t have a mixer so I have always done it by hand. Today, I decided to use my bullet to mix the wet ingredients. I only had 15 minutes to chill the mix. The cookies did not spread out at all and puffed up more than an inch. Great recipe. Thanks.

Oh you have the perfect oatmeal recipe. I just made mine with ruby red Middle Eastern giant juicy raisins and some little pepitas and I am absolutely thrilled:-) oatmeal cookies can be boring and disappointing but your recipe holds everything together and the sweetness is perfect.
