One thing that I want to add is that Dentists do not need Masters for Express Entry because we are under the category of Licensed professionals which gives the same points as a Masters Graduate.

Correct. Our bds serves as a 5 yrs masters equivalent degree under WES

Does BDS being considered as a masters give any boost of points when calculating the CRS score?

I think you are mistaken. A foreign trained dentist can't apply for a dental assistant program as it is a low level degree/diploma to BDS. That would be grounds for student visa rejection.

About visitor visa, you do all the exams but you dont get registration if you are not permanent resident, most of the people dont know this...about Inbde, Canadian banks dont give loans for out of Canada education without a guarantor....

Thank you for this video, it's overly simplified and very explanatory. My question is what's the time line and the procedure for getting a DDS not for the purpose of practising dentistry in Canada alone but learning enough to practise in my home country in Nigeria too with the knowledge I get from Canada.

My question is can we apply for visitor visa to take liscense tests? Have heard that visitor visa can get rejected if the officers doubt that we are planning to settle there and maybe we will may work there without work permit? Does it causes the chances to be low for visa approval?

I've heard that its difficult to go on a student visa on a dental assistant program if you are a dentist because visa agents doesn't approve because the program is a downgrade to your current qualification.

So many of my doubts are cleared. You explained everything so nicely. Thank you so much.
Well, I have 2 questions. I have done my BDS from bangladesh. Now, I want to go to canada and work as a licensed dentist there. If I choose the student Visa route , can I work as a Dental assistant as my "survival job" by fulfilling all the requirements (NDAEB exam) for dental assistantship??
If I choose the student visa route can I apply for clinical dentistry subjects (orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics etc) and will they be of enough value after I pass my license exam ??
It would be very kind of you if you answer my questions. Thank you❤
