One way this strategy could be improved is by having Benedict go before Quahog (either with a Vanguard Scarf or Speed Accessories, he’s pretty naturally speedy) and using Twofold Turn on Quahog. With the way you’ve designed this strategy, Quahog will have exactly enough TP as an Elite to do this combo without needing a turn to Recharge. That way he can do Stop Time and Turn Back Time immediately and allow Ezana to start casting Rite of Thunderstorms right away before anyone else gets turns to have Stop wear off.
I discovered this by total accident the other day! I gave Ezana a bunch of speed accessories to help her move before everyone unfroze, but using In Tandem is a much better strategy! I'd love more strategy videos like this!
I can’t get the combo to work for myself. Don’t you have to use Benedict to give Quahaug a second turn? Otherwise when you turn back time on Ezana, it just extends her timer since her turn already occured
I'm not sure quite how that's happening for you. You want 5 TP on Quahaug and when he turns back time you use his extra turn to turn back Ezana. She shouldn't end up frozen that way.
No you did not goof because if I try to do a second ability with his turn after giving to range to HP potions to Quahuag He only has one TP left to work with and can’t cast the turn back time on her after that even though we had four to start with he somehow has one after using it 2 Manna ability. This must have been patched I’ve tried four times now
How do you get this to work more than once? Don't you need In Tandem to make this work, which is used up after the first time. When I try to do this a second time, everyone un-stops before Ezana finishes casting and the attack misses.
Hey, so eventually you will desync, it happens. But a good way of keeping things consistent is to ensure: a) Ezana's speed is the same as Quahaug's speed. b) Quahaug always moves and does something every turn. The former means that they get the same number of turns each round and the latter means that Quahaug doesn't get bonuses to his speed for not moving and not acting.
I just tested it, you have to immediately use Turn Back Time on Ezana with the additional action that Time Stop gives. It works for me as long as you not waste his extra action he gains from using Time Stop. (I was practicing and used it wrong at first by waiting on his next turn, not realising I got an additional action.)
All these games have a couple of broken units. Also it's not like he is just straight up broken like Cid (forget his actual name) in FFT, he at least takes a little but of thought and help from other characters to be at his best and you have to be strategic. Or just watch videos like this ha. I wouldn't have thought of this combo on my own.
@@RoShaCla Orlandu is broken because his stats are just way and beyond other characters, he’s a huge stat stick. yes, Quahaug at least has a pretty unique way of being OP, that’s why i still kinda like using him sometimes just for the lols.
Not game breaking. So far you can only do this once with in tandem. Now and spice can work but you have to hope Medina or Benedict unfreezes. When they do, half the map is unfrozen if not all
If you set up Ezana to have the same speed as Quahaug you can reliably time this to hit for upwards of twenty five turns. This was how I beat the 100 enemy tavern challenge on hard without a character dying. It requires some adjustment, for example, ensuring the Quahaug moves whenever available and sometimes using swift spices to alter Ezana's pace, but on most maps with both set at the same speed it should hit reliably for 3-4 turns absent intervention.

Oh wow, I didnt even think of using stop time for that, my goodness Quahog is seriously so broken

And you can put a Magic Bracelet or two on Ezana instead, dealing even more damage.
Ezana rules so hard. I enjoyed her character story and then to realise she was also the goddess of lightning death was so pleasing!
Don't forget that even she is a goddess like persona, but still fell in love in a very human way. Such a beautiful character.
I came here to tell you we need more of that content. ;-)
Yeah, this is fantastic and I'd love to see more. It also reminds me, I need to finish your XCOM2 LP.
Good lord... That kid is too OP.
Shocking!
Damn son, this is so good. Please make more guides like this!
- thanks for this great tip!.
This is great, thank you.
Intriguing

@@Natural20LP I’m a goof, I hadn’t used Quahaug enough to realize after casting stop time, you’re given another action for him to perform. My bad :)
What happened for this guy in the comments is exactly what happened for me… was this patched?

Does Turn Back Time no longer undo stop? My Ezana stays stopped :(

Ezana is my baby
Great video
I don't have Ezana yet (let alone quahog), but quick question:
How long does Rite of Rain last?
5 rounds, timed by Ezana's turns. (Technically it is a 5 turn buff on Ezana)
Ok very good
I cast turn back Time on ezna and the stop Time effect doesnt wear off. Combo got nerfed?

There’s other ways to do this or if you just want to get it off once guaranteed you don’t need any other character. This just seems extra lol
Does stop time pierce amulet of immunity?
Hey, it pierces the amulet and as far as I know nothing has innate stop immunity!
Is pronounce kouhoug not Qaihoug
They must’ve patched this or something because it no longer works
Time child is extremely overpowered. No idea what they were thinking when they designed it.

I like the unit. Just don’t cheese and it’s all good. It’s fun to know you have a unit that can do these things. You just don’t have to exploit it
