The good old 90s. I was actually a Counter Manager for Clarins and Shiseido in the late 90s. I wore very little face products but major eyeshadow and liner. Remember the black eyeliner with the white frosting line above it. (and of course I rocked the brownie lip). LOL. Good to see you Helen.
I loved those brands when I got a bit older! I DO remember that eyeliner with white above it, that was so 90s! Not everyone who wore makeup also wore foundation, it's true...it's quite different today, I feel like foundation is a basic nowadays!

Remember Jane? That's so '90s! I dont remember MAC being a thing until '97 or '98.
Never used Jane but I knew about it!! Talk about an ICON ;) MAC is from the mid/late 80s so we had a counter by the early 90s! Probably one of the first, I imagine!
Wow I was in HS in 97 and I did my make up way diff and we did do our brows. We also did a cat eyeliner. Brown or mahogany lips. Brown, burgundy or mahogany shadows with white on the lower lid as well as the brow bone. Airspun powder. Sometimes a little blush.
One thing I'm finding is that makeup was quite local back then, esp. for high school students. Thanks for sharing, I love hearing about other people's nostalgia trips!

I wore purple lips! Rimmel Heather shimmer or Clinique heather moon. I also didn’t use brushes until my wedding day in 2008 😂 when I did my own make up (mua for a wedding wasn’t a thing!!!). I went to MAC and they did my make up as a trial - I then bought all the stuff and did it myself on the day. They didn’t touch my brows (which are 90s and over plucked!) so I have no eyebrows in my wedding photos ha ha ha

Oh yeah, Black Honey was a fave! And got popular again a couple years ago cause of TikTok and there were shortages 😂
