My first MAC purchases were in 1994 at the Beverley Centre in California. I bought several shadows-Orb, Swiss Chocolate, Haux, Soft Brown and Vanilla. For lips I bought Spice lipliner, Fleshpot and topped off with original clear lip glass. Happy memories 😊
🌼 i absolutely love yur videos. Especially as someone who 1. Likes makeup but has no clue about the 163,897,164 new products coming out every other week & 2. Don't have tha $ to take a gamble on a $40 highlighter or or $80 foundation but will spend tha extra $ when necessary. i think it's so cool how much stuff u know about all these different brands & products & it's actually honest & useful info, most of tha "makeup influencers" today COULD NEVER hunny!😊 P.s sorry for tha longest comment ever 😂
See that is why at 34 I don't care if folks think I am old for sticking with m.a.c but I can at the very least trust their products and know what I am getting. I will admit I have ventured into one size their actually a good brand gotta admit it so now one size is my second favorite favorite brand, nars is third and anything else I just buy to try out but of course it will be very inexpensive drug store brands..
This is fascinating! I had no idea about their history! My friend in high school (wayyyyyyyy back in the day) owned only MAC makeup. That was out of my price range but I remember saving up, going to Nordstrom and buying their Glass Lip. I didn't like it. LOL. But, I wore that every day until it was gone. :)
Oh no lol if I had known I would have advised you against buying lip glass because it's a strong lip gloss formula not meant for everyone and would've advised you at the very least to have invested in a lipliner with a plain lip gloss not their lip glass though...
The only MAC product I've ever owned is a MAC stack mascara sample which I lost after like 2 uses and can't remember if it was even good. It's not my first thought to buy that brand as it's not readily available locally. I think at this point if I did shop MAC it'd just be for the sake of having something from the brand rather than needing or even wanting but a lot of the less affordable brands are like that for me.
For me I grew up on sets and it’ll ALWAYS BE MAC for me idfc!!! Lol Then we got a store (BEFORE bought by Lancôme- which also bought deciem rip Branden)… ok my FIRST buy was: TAUPE in matte lipstick! And TYSM FOR STATING THE TWO CANADIANS who started it!!!! Then: two eyeshadows…. Then their studio fix… and lipsticks: they had the badassededess colors and it was the rave era- HEY MYTH!!!!! lol (my teeth looked so yellow wearing that!)…
